We were debating a Toyota Highlander Hybrid or a Rav4, and Royce (Ramos) was very pleasant and knowledgeable, having a lengthy discussion with us about the two vehicles and their different options, before directing us out on an AWESOME test-drive route that showed what the suggested vehicle (a 4-cyl 2011 Rav4 Sport) could really do. Rather than taking us on a level road with a few little curves and turns, we went up and down noticeable hills, a few of which had winding curving roads. This was important, as we live in a hilly area, and face hill and mountain roads during adventures in the summer, so we thought that we might need a v6 to power through the inclines and declines. Nope, the 4-cyl handled it all beautifully with three adults in the vehicle. Back at the dealership, we really wanted to just get an idea of how much a 2011 Rav4 Sport would cost, so that we could mull it over and return in a few weeks with a downpayment. However, Royce found one on the lot that was extremely to our liking, we qualified for the 1.9% financing, and Royce, Bimi (in the financing office) and everyone in general in the Rockland Toyota Scion dealership was so incredibly pleasant, helpful, and straight-forward (without being aggressive or pushy, as one would expect auto salespeople to be), that we decided not to wait, and my husband drove his new vehicle home that night. When I finally retire my Honda Civic (although no time soon), I will definitely be returning to Rockland Toyota Scion and meeting up with Royce to discuss my options. More
This was my first car buying experience. I would get ugly loaners to use all the time. Plus I was using my wife's car mostly and felt bad I was racking up so much mileage commuting in her car even though she loaners to use all the time. I was also recommended to this dealership my a co-worker who had purchased a car for his wife recently. It was a pleasure to have Royce walk me through this process and not feel pressured or hounded as a sales mark. I liked having a lot explained to me even though I am still trying to process this new car ownership sensation. Royce was well-informed about the car he was selling me. He didn't go through any pre-memorized sales script to try and sell me the car. Heck I didn't even intend to buy a car that day. Even during the test drive it was good to have relevant information relayed to me as I drove. When dealing with paperwork, it also helped to have options weighed against the pros and cons. There were no must-have options that were pressured into adding onto my purchase. Royce and the folks at Rockland Toyota helped walk me through the process without making me feel dumb. The care that Royce provided before, during and after are what makes this dealership shine. Take it from a guy who has had to borrow ugly loaner cars over 15 years and had been undecided about what kind of car to drive other than Italian sports cars. I finally have my very own car and it's a beauty. Thank you Royce and Rockland Toyota. More

Mr. Kaplan and Mr. Ramos were very professional, friendly and helpful to me and my husband in our purchase of a previously owned 2010 Prius. We came in to look at the car on January 5th, completed the financial arrangements, and drove away with the car in about two hours. I had expected to have to return, but that was not necessary, thanks to the efficiency of all staff members with whom we dealt at Rockland Toyota. Mr. Ramos, our salesman, was much more knowledgeable about the vehicle than the NJ salesman who had sold us our 2006 Prius. He really worked at educating us about the various features, some of which are different on the newer vehicle. As a result, we are much better informed about the car and will probably have an even better experience with it than we have had with the 2006 Prius. In addition, I would like to commend Mr. Ramos for his friendliness, prompt response to questions and concerns, and his help in obtaining a new key for the 2010 vehible. I will gladly recommend Rockland Toyota to any friends or family who might wish to consider purchasing a Toyota. I should also commend the service people, who, when we returned for the new key, quickly reprogrammed the old key and also washed our car, which was very dirty from the winter weather. Our salesman was someone that I remembered from several years before, when I was in the market for a used car. It turned out that I couldn't find the right car at that time, but I liked working with Royce years before, when I was in the market for a used car. It turned out that I couldn't find the right car at that time, but I liked working with Royce. He really knew his product and also left me feeling cared for, rather than preyed upon. I remembered him, and saw him on a subsequent visit for service, when he gave me information on my Prius that I was not told by the dealer at the dealership where I had purchased the car. I felt like he was trustworthy and knowledgeable - a great combination in a car salesman. I brought my god daughter in to buy a car this week. He took excellent care of us, including giving her driving tips when they test drove the car (she is new to driving). The service department is also excellent. I have had experience at 2 other Toyota dealers in the area. Rockland Toyota would be my choice. More

I would easily recommend Rockland Toyota, and in particular Royce and Anthony in the Service Department to my friends and family, because I know they will be treated well. It's hard to find an honest sales team, and service department personell, but at Rockland Toyota, I really felt like everyone was honest and they took the time to explain everything. I went in with my Consumer Reports Car Dealer Report ($14) and was able to get an accepted offer with my first price offering. No need for negotiations or shuffle dealings with the manager. Just get to the point. The real negotiations comes in the financing department. Since we were qualified for 0% financing, they have to make money off us in other ways. So make sure you really understand all the warranties and maintanence programs costs/benefits. If you know how much it really cost to maintain any car then you will make a wiser decision. My mistake was not to have a complete line by line price breakdown before leaving. We ended up leaving messages and delayed replies until days later. Our first "service" visit, Reggie took good care of us. First time buying a Toyota and so far better experience at this dealership than my previous cars, Ford + Jeep. Regards, Manuel + Oi-Ling More
