He was able to get me into a beautiful new car and I'm loving it! More
Great experience I had been considering a smaller, more economical personal car - and when I happened to see a 2009 Toyota Yaris was available at Rockland Toyota - I d I had been considering a smaller, more economical personal car - and when I happened to see a 2009 Toyota Yaris was available at Rockland Toyota - I decided to simply look it over and go for a test drive. I had other small car makes in mind to also test drive - and the Yaris' red color in the photo said it was certainly "not for me." I'm more a green, blue or beige car guy. So I thought. Well, after arranging things with salesperson Doug Perry for a look-see, and driving in at Rockland - there sat the vehicle - maroon it was, not red. My interest increased. Add to that seeing it's design in person versus the photo - I was more interested. Doug was very helpful - listening to my "wants" in a car - providing information about this model - but not pushing to "sell" me on it. He listened - and listened - and guided me in learning about the Yaris. From the outside, the Yaris appears small - which it is compared to the 4-door vehicles I had driven for many years. Then slipping easily and comfortably into the driver's seat - no twisting, turning or what-have you because of it's smaller size than what I was accustomed to - that was another positive. Looking out the windshield - there was nothing small about the view. It's design and size gave me an excellent view of the entire road ahead - a first rate safety design feature. The car drove very well - responded to turns, braking and pickup just as well. Wow - was I impressed in so many positive ways. All the while Doug answered any questions I had - filled in any blanks in my thought stream about the Yaris' performance and reliability. But again - he supported me with his information - he did not "push" me to make a decision or to consider another model. By the time we returned to the dealership I decided this Yaris was for me. I hope Rockland Toyota and Toyota corporate know what a valuable member of their team Doug is. Simply put - he is very good at what he does - representing Toyota. I've driven the car 6 months now - in an awful lot of snow this winter - again and again I was impressed with it's safe, comfortable, sturdy handling on all roads - in wet, dry or snow covered conditions. Ditto on sunny days. Lastly - after completing my purchase and driving my Yaris a while - I alerted my local auto repair shop in Croton I simply wanted an oil change and lube - as well as their inspection of the vehicle for anything I may have missed. (I've taken this precautionary step with every used car I've ever purchased - Volvos, Subarus, VWs, Renault).....at first the lead mechanic poked some fun at me with the Yaris - saying he himself is a big car guy...likes their get up and go and feel. A couple hours later when I picked up my Yaris - his first few words to me were - "Wow what a great car you've got. !!" And he was right - I've got a great car. Thanks Toyota for designing & building it - and Toyota Rockland and sales person Doug Terry for selling it to me. More

Great service and selection! After a 5 hour trip to a nearby dealership - one that sold the car we drove all day to purchase - we were lucky enough to find Rockland Toyota. Greeted by Sam right away, we told him exactly what we were looking for and he had several to choose from. After detailed descriptions of the differences on the available models, we took a test drive around town. It was Toyota certified, everything worked perfectly on it. We came to an agreement on price and made a great purchase. They even included us in the birthday celebration they had for an employee. The cake was fantastic! It is now a month later and we have a great story to tell.... Thanks Rockland Toyota! More

Naturally, we wen My husband and I have purchased 5 cars at Westchester Toyota over the years. I was ready to trade in my 2007 RAV4 and buy a new one. Naturally, we went back to Westchester, however we were very unhappy with the service we received. We decided to check out other Toyota Dealers and visited the one in Mamaroneck and New Rochelle. We took a ride to Rockland Toyota and were pleasantly greeted by a very friendly receptionist who introduced to a salesman named Hamadi Martin. Hamadi welcomed us and listened to what we were looking for. He arranged to have the value of my car assessed while showing us the cars he had in stock. I was interested in the LE, not the XLE or Limited and he did not try to convince me to choose one of the more expensive models with more options. Hamadi sat with us and worked with his Supervisor to get us the best price possible. We had hoped to get more for the trade in and needed some time to think about it. He understood and said he would be in touch in a few days. Over the next few days, I spoke with Hamadi several times and he was able to get us a deal that we were very pleased with. We were supposed to go up to close the deal, however a death in the family and a crisis at work delayed us. When I spoke with Hamadi and explained what was going on, he was understanding and compassionate, and told me to call him when we were ready as he did not want to bother us at this difficult time. I found the qualities that Mr. Martin has to be quite unique among sales people. My husband and I had already decided that we wanted to work with Hamadi, but this made us even more sure. I called and let him know we could meet with him today after work and he had everything prepared when we arrived to make the transaction as smooth as possible. I just drove home in my brand new 2014 RAV4 LE in the color I wanted and I am so happy! I would highly recommend Hamadi Martin to anyone who is shopping for a Toyota car. I guarantee it will be a positive experience! This is my 3rd RAV4 and when I'm ready for a new car, Hamadi Martin will be my go to salesman:) Patricia Hund More
This is the Only Toyota Dealer I'll Go To- Customer For Life My parents decided to lease a 2013 Rav 4 a little over a year ago and we came to this dealer after visiting several others. The prices were definitely cheaper than the other Toyota dealers we initially visited and the sales people appeared to be a lot less agressive in their sales pitch and extremely patient. Lets face it - my dad is 85 years old and he isn't going to commit to a major purchase after just one visit. After the air conditioning system went on my Corolla, which had over 200,000 miles on it, I decided it was time to buy a new car and went in to look at the 2014 Rav 4. The salesman I worked with was Hamadi Martin and I knew within 5 minutes of speaking with him that he was extremely honest, not looking to waste my time, and dedicated to getting me the best possible deal he could. And I know some people will read this and think I am naive since salesman work off of commission, but trust me, this is not the case. In fact, I had walked out of the Airmont Toyota Dealer - "Interstate Toyota" just a few hours prior to coming to Rockland Toyota because I could tell it was shady and hard sell the moment I pulled into the parking lot. The salespeople were actually waiting outside of the dealership to pounce on you before you could even walk into the showroom. As soon as the salesman heard my parents had a Rav4 and that I was interested in looking at the 2014, he automatically sat me down to talk pricing. He had no interest in showing me the car or offering me to test drive it. And to top it off - he lied right to my face several times. I told him I wanted the silver color, which they didn't have. He told me there were no silver Rav4's in all of Rockland. When I told him I didn't believe that, he gave me the Toyota laptop to check other dealers. When Rockland Toyota came up as having silver Rav4's in stock, he continued to lie and said that "in stock" meant they were due to receive a shipment, maybe tomorrow, maybe 5 days from now, maybe 6 months from now. At that point, I walked out and told him I was going to Rockland Toyota. When I met with Hamadi, the first thing I asked him was if he had any silver Rav4's in stock. Not only did he tell me that they had a ton of silver Rav4's in stock, he also told me that he could probably get me a better deal on a silver Rav4 because they had an abundance and were looking to get rid of them. Thank you for being honest! He took my sister and I down to the lot to show us the various models in stock and thoroughly explained what everything came with. When I chose one of the silver Rav4 XLE's with black interior, he got the keys for me to test drive it and explained where everything was located and how everything worked. We went back into the showroom to talk pricing, which was the least painful experience i've ever had in buying a car because it was clear he cut to the chase and got me the best deal possible based on what the window price was and what I ultimately paid. I went back the next day to pick it up after work, but there was only one finance manager on and several customers were ahead of me finalizing their paperwork. While I waited, he offered to drive me to Wendy's to get dinner. He also went through a final run through of everything in the car and had me set up the navigation, radio and apps. It was getting late and I was still waiting to sit with a finance manager, so I asked if I could come back the following afternoon to pick it up because I had some things to take care of. Both he and his sales manager, Reggie Pierre, were extremely apologetic that I had waited so long and would have to leave without my car. In fact, because I waited so long and was leaving without my car, Reggie decided to offer to have them install automatic start in the car for free. It doesn't get much better than that. I picked up my car the following day with no problem, and when I decided to buy a few extra items in the Toyota store, Hamadi even made sure to get me a discount. Overall, everyone I dealt with in making my purchase was a pleasure to work for and I wouldn't buy a car from anyone else. Let's just say my sister will be going to Hamadi when it is time for her to get a new car. JUST ASK FOR HAMADI! More
