I had an appointment with Lia Toyota of Rockland due to a recall on my 2018 Toyota Camry. I checked my vehicle in, and everything was going well in the service department. The associate who assisted me was v recall on my 2018 Toyota Camry. I checked my vehicle in, and everything was going well in the service department. The associate who assisted me was very professional & I received a loaner vehicle. I went into the lobby to say hello to the sales representative & to inform them that my sister would be coming in to purchase a car. Upon entering the lobby, the receptionist Roselyn asked if I needed help. When I told her who I wanted to see, Roselyn said that I needed a mask. I told her that I already was wearing a face covering (which was my scarf). She started to shout at me to get out and to look at the picture on their door to see what a mask looks like. I responded if that was how she was taught to treat customers. She was EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL & UNPROFESSIONAL. She said she was going to call the police and I told her to go ahead. She called her manager, Dennis Acosta, who approached me & was irate. He told me to get out & I said I was waiting for the police. Acosta then walked back to his desk. Two minutes after, Peter Vaccaro came at me and aggressively motioned with his hand for me to leave through the door. He didn't even introduce who he was. He acted as a rude bully. I started to video when I saw his behavior. He mockingly took his phone out & said "okay we can both play that game". I told him I was going to report their behavior to Toyota. He replied by saying he doesn't care because Toyota cannot do anything to him & this is his private business. I told him that the dealership was a franchise. When the police arrived they stated that my scarf was fine and they recommended for me to file a report. When Vaccaro saw he did not get his way he yelled in the presence of me & the police that he will not be servicing my vehicle that I have under warranty. He commanded the service department to stop working on my vehicle, cancelled my loaner, & said I should take my vehicle elsewhere. ALL OF THIS OCCURRED BECAUSE I USED A SCARF AS MY FACE COVERING which is considered a mask in New York!! There were employees in the service department without masks and Vaccaro said he did not care yet they cared that I was wearing a scarf. They wasted the polices' time & hard-working New Yorkers’ tax money!!! I would give NO STARS if I could. More

There had been an open recall on my car. Once I was finally able to make it to Lia Toyota of Rockland, Jean Chery assisted me right away. I was out the door and into a Toyota Loaner car within a few mi finally able to make it to Lia Toyota of Rockland, Jean Chery assisted me right away. I was out the door and into a Toyota Loaner car within a few minutes. The next day, my car was ready to be picked up. After a horrible experience at a different dealer a couple of years ago, I was and still am thankful for Lia Toyota of Rockland for coming to the rescue. Went to test drive a Rav 4 prime. I was pressured to come in today as the “specials” expire today. As we were inspecting the vehicle, the sticker was nowhere to be found. Asked the sales person and was told in today as the “specials” expire today. As we were inspecting the vehicle, the sticker was nowhere to be found. Asked the sales person and was told it’s in the car. Went in the car and cannot find the sticker. Took the car for a test drive and when we came back to talk about buying the car, we were told that since this vehicle is in such high demand, they are charging $5000 over sticker. In fact, the previous Rav 4 they have apparently sold $10,000 over sticker. That is some BS. Who would do that? Not me. Not paying a penny over sticker no matter how “in demand” the car is. No wonder the they don’t show the sticker. Some trickery going on in that dealership. They should have been transparent in the first place, when making the appointment about the jacked up price. More
