Donald Mclennan was very helpful to me when I brought my car in on the 21st. He's friendly and honest about costs and timing of servicing I may need in the future. Chad and Chuck Richardson have also been helpful to me in the past. More

Always make the extra effort After buying my Hyundai at another dealer and being frustrated by their lack of interest in helping address a service issue, I tried Lia Hyundai. The After buying my Hyundai at another dealer and being frustrated by their lack of interest in helping address a service issue, I tried Lia Hyundai. They solved the problem and have always been very helpful with service issues. I've been very pleased with all the service managers, but I must single out Eddie Kosek for his excellent job in working with me to solve a persistent problem. I have been very pleased with the extra effort that is always made whenever I need to go in for service. I have become a loyal customer, and as I usually see the same faces in the Service department, I must conclude that they are also doing a great job at building employee loyalty as well. More

Fraudulent, Misleading & Deceptive We brought in our Sonata to have an engine replacement that was originally quoted to take a total of one week (dropped of on a Wednesday, signed work We brought in our Sonata to have an engine replacement that was originally quoted to take a total of one week (dropped of on a Wednesday, signed work order on Friday, were told we could pick up the following Thursday) and we are now THREE WEEKS out and still haven't been able to pick up our car. Not including weekend days, we are looking at a total of 17 days and counting, for a job that was suppose to total a business week. We have been given the run around by an AWFUL service person and have not had a better experience with their current service manager, Chuck. The lack of professionalism that we dealt with and are STILL dealing with at Lia Hyundai of Albany was/is astounding and unlike anything I've ever experienced. We are a family of long time Hyundai buyers that will NEVER again be buying one of their vehicles and will be trading in this vehicle just as soon as we possibly can. Do NOT go to this dealership. They are a group of liars and manipulators and will NOT offer you a fair price, feel that your time is not as valuable as yours and have a blatant disregard for you and your business. More
THANK YOU CHUCK, you are a Blessing!! Not very often do you get an opportunity to really say that you were treated totally above and beyond what you were expecting. My daughter, Leah lease Not very often do you get an opportunity to really say that you were treated totally above and beyond what you were expecting. My daughter, Leah leased a car from Mid Island Hyundai on Long Island NY. Unfortunately and probably due to where she parks it at SUNY Albany she has encountered two separate incidents where a rodent of some sort made its way into the engine compartment and ate through her wires. This unfortunately is not covered under a new car warranty even though she only had 2,000 miles on her new car. The first episode cost us $267.00 for the repair which I feel was a fair price, it was the second episode some 17 day later which bring me to the reason why I'm writing this review. The second incident was much worst then the first, there wire 5 or 6 sections of wiring that was damaged. Chuck the service manager was very sorry that this happened again, but it was no where near the repairs that his mechanic work on some 17 days ago and explained that we would have to pay for an even more extensive repair this time. He explained it to me over the phone while he had the car in his shop and I was here on Long Island. Although I was upset to have to forgo the repair cost again I gave Chuck the ok to do the repair and just try to be as fair as possible with the cost of the repair. All I can say is what happened next was something out of a play it forward, or a Christian Movie. Chuck had his guys repair all of the wiring and delivered the car back to Albany's campus and did NOT, yes did NOT bill us for this repair.Something that I was expecting to be in excess of a Few hundred dollars. So before we are so fast to judge all dealerships as being thief's, and those who take advantage of their customers, Chuck has broken the mold, as to say he went completely above and beyond what I was expecting, Thank you Chuck, thank you Lia Hyundai, you truly have been a blessing and both Leah and I publicly want to say THANK YOU. Would I recommend you to any one who needs work done to their Hyundai, you better believe it!!! Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
Good luck trying to get your money back I purchased a car from Lia Hyundai in early 2013. Since we moved to a different location we cancelled our maintenance contract. The Lia Hyundai owes u I purchased a car from Lia Hyundai in early 2013. Since we moved to a different location we cancelled our maintenance contract. The Lia Hyundai owes us about $500 since August 2013. It seems impossible to get a refund from these people or to speak with them over phone. It has been my experience that once they sell a car and you pay them they simply ignore you. I am highly disappointed and frustrated. More

We were just about 4-5 hours away from home and we suppose to return to work next day. Since we’ve called for appointment until our departure, Mr. Charles Richardson, the Assistant Service Manager, helped and guided us, under the existing conditions, to the best options for us, giving us a great support in organizing a fast repair at the top Hyundai standards. My wife and I would like to thank Mr. Charles Richardson and LIA Hyundai Albany Team for this excellent treatment, cost effective, very friendly attitude and support. Outstanding Job! Thank you. Reality check needed if you want to shop here I contacted the Lia of Albany dealership after encountering problems with their sister dealership in Enfield, CT in buying a leftover 2013 Hyundai tha I contacted the Lia of Albany dealership after encountering problems with their sister dealership in Enfield, CT in buying a leftover 2013 Hyundai that the Albany store had on their lot. The guys in Enfield gave me a really hard time about not wanting to buy something new off of their lot and refused to get the car I wanted from Albany. So I told them I would deal with Albany directly and I called the Albany store. I spoke with a sales rep on the phone and we agreed on the price of the car I wanted almost immediately. I told him I would be driving the 110 miles from CT the next day to view the car and place a cash deposit in it while they looked at my trade-in. He assured me that the car would be cleaned up and ready for my arrival, and I told him the car was sold if they would give me a reasonable allowance on my trade in. The next day, I drove over 2 hours to the Albany Lia dealership and was handed over to a young kid who demonstrated the car like I had never seen one. I told him I had made it clear on the phone that I wasn't here for a sales pitch, I already wanted to buy the car. I knew that a sales manager had been driving it (750 miles on it) but I was surprised to see that it was pretty filthy...crumbs and debris on the floors, it hadn't been washed at all in what looked like a couple of weeks. The kid had no idea that I had already made a deal for the price and then he handed me off to another, more seasoned sales rep to talk trade-in. They looked at my car for less than 5 minutes...literally, and a third guy sat down and offered my $2500 on a car worth between $7500 - 10,000 TRADE-IN value in several car value guides Kelly's, NADA, Edmund's). I thought he was joking with me. I drove all that way after settling the price of the car I wanted so they could jerk me around like this? I have a suspicion that someone from the Lia dealership in Enfield, CT called ahead and told them I would be coming up to see this car and they set me up to either take a really bad deal on a trade-in or go 110 miles back home empty handed. I can't prove this, of course, but it all seemed a bit contrived. Bottom line: even if the trade-in offer was legit, these guys are looking to rob people and won't make a reasonable offer, that is my experience. Reading a lot of other reviews of Lia dealerships on other web sites tells me it was not just me having sour grapes, they really are not a reputable business. Avoid the headaches and find a dealership who really wants to work for your business, 'cause it aint these guys! More
About a year ago i leased a new car from this dealership. My experience was good during this purchase. HOWEVER, i was talked into buying a maintenance plan for an extra monthly payment which would take care My experience was good during this purchase. HOWEVER, i was talked into buying a maintenance plan for an extra monthly payment which would take care of all my routine maintenance. Upon purchase of this plan i was explained that i would be reimbursed for any maintenance expense incurred outside their dealership as i was about to move out of state. This first time i had to get an oil change i talked to the Financial Specialist at LIA and she said to go ahead and send the reciept and she would reimburse me. Well since i sent the reciept i have recieved no Reimbursement or even a response from the Financial Specialist. I have no tried calling multiple times and she never seems to be in the office. I have called the Sales manager and have gotten no response. I have emailed multiple people even the General Manager and have gotten no response. I had high reviews of this dealeship until this utter lack of DISCRESPECT. I would simply like to find out what going on but apparently I am not worth their time now that i am out of state. The minute i am back in NY i will be stopping by the dealship and requesting my money back or going to court against them. JUST BE CAREFULL WHAT THEY TALK YOU INTO BECAUSE THEY WONT HOLD UP THEIR WORD. More
