I visited this dealer in 2010 and did not have a great experience. This time around was so different. Janine helped answer all my questions about the process of buying a car, finance and lease options, and knew a lot of details about the odyssey. For a young woman she seems to know a lot about cars. This was our FIRST stop car shopping.... We decided to fill out a online application form and so we did. We then got a call the next day from a woman named Kathy who said we were pre-approved and that the fill out a online application form and so we did. We then got a call the next day from a woman named Kathy who said we were pre-approved and that they indeed have the vehicle we needed. She asked if we could meet there that evening. I asked her if we needed to bring any paper work with us because we live about and 1hr or so away we didn't want to make a wasted trip. She assured us that we were all set. So, we arrive at the dealership, upon entering through the doors the receptionist looked like we she was just "all to thrilled" to ask us why we were there. Almost felt as if we were the ones intruding on there down time, so to speak. Another girl named Janine I believe that's what she said came over to us and started asking us what it was we were looking for... I was somewhat annoyed at the fact I had already specified in an email what we were looking for also we had already filled out a credit application. Well Janine proceeds to brings us to her cubicle and tell us to fill out the paperwork again. This was before we even saw the vehicle we had came to see. After we fill out the credit application (again) We give it to her and she brings it to the finance office. By that time she tells us we can go ahead and look at the vehicle... Let's start with the vehicle, it was in no condition to be seen!! Coffee cups crunched in the driver's door, dirty used napkins throughout the vehicle and god knows what else. It was horrific and disgusting! I had, had enough! We then sat back at Janine's table where she told she didn't have anything else to offer in that price range... Which was okay. So my husband and I shook hands and said thank you for your time. As we walked out of the little cubicle, I turned to say thank you again, and to my disbelief I witnessed Janine rolling her eyes and whispering who knows what, at a employee who's cubicle was right next to hers. Really?! We haven't even touched the door handle to leave.. UN- freakin' believable! Not only was the vehicle in NO condition to be shown but, the very lack of customer service was appalling. I normally am not the one to write reviews but, the service and my expectations for our FIRST stop car shopping were horrible at Lia Honda, and I honestly would NEVER recommend family nor friends to that dealership.. Truth be told: Clean up your act, vehicles, and customer service before welcoming new potential customers in. Oh and just a FYI our second stop at a different dealership was like night and day and tomorrow we will be driving our brand-new car! More
Overall, the service department at Honda, which is what I use, is very good - tries to be accomodating, the work seems good, and the prices not too expensive, espeically the oil change which is cheap. Shopping for a new car is usually a bit stressful. Lia Honda of Northampton was really easy to work with. The salesman was very knowledgable and friendly and the credit department was good, too. I like dealing with the service team and although I could get my snow tires put on or my oil changed elsewhere, I just choose to have Lia do it. I like their free shuttle van, to get me to work, and the speed at which they get repairs and oil changes done. Also, when I was buying my car, I wanted a certain color as well as a manual transmission. Manuals are few and far between, so it was a bit out of the ordinary, but instead of trying to change my mind to take one of the correct color but an automatic transmission, Ray found one at another Honda and had it driven to Lia. I recommended Lia Honda to my Mom and she bought her used car from them as well. More
We have been faithful customers of Lia Honda Northampton for many years and it was the first place we went when looking for a new car. The deal we arranged was a trade-in, swapping a used car for a new one for many years and it was the first place we went when looking for a new car. The deal we arranged was a trade-in, swapping a used car for a new one to reduce the price of our purchase. Everything seemed to be going well. We were promised a $1000 rebate for the old car, which seemed fair enough to us for a car as old as ours. But when we went to the dealer, despite the fact that the car was in great condition for an old model (the only real thing wrong with it was that it needed a new transmission, which was the first thing we told them) and that they took it for a test drive and examined it to confirm this fact, they then tried to give us a lower price than the promised one. The claim was that they had examined the CarFax and seen that there was "structural damage" from being struck in a fender bender four years ago (apparently referring to a large dent to one of the panels and the bumper that we had long since had repaired). Why hadn't they done all that before making their offer? They made us drive all the way out to the dealership for a deal they couldn't follow through on. We left in disgust and went to a nearby Nissan dealer who was more than happy to accommodate us. We got our $1000 dollar rebate and new car and won't be returning to Lia Honda any time soon. More
We went to this dealer just to see what prices were and what we could expect on trade-in values, and left with two new cars! The whole process was painless and quick, the financing was very fast and easy, what we could expect on trade-in values, and left with two new cars! Negotiation for my 2013 Accord EXL required little haggling. Salesperson has been very responsive to all my needs. Service Department was very helpful in my request to have Home Link installed.
