Lia Honda Service Should Learn to Prioritize Tasks. I hate people who waste my time and Lia Honda of Northampton, MA was trying to win a trophy. I made an appointment to fix a squeaking sound for a 20 I hate people who waste my time and Lia Honda of Northampton, MA was trying to win a trophy. I made an appointment to fix a squeaking sound for a 2014 Honda Accord that I purchased with Ray Becker back in 2014 and told the appointment lady it was most likely a break issue. It's at about 48000 miles. The appointment lady told me oh you should come in early, it should take about 3 or 4 hours maybe to do those usually. I said fine. Let's make an 8 am and I can bring my laptop and work. So I show up before 8 am and 100% on time. And I check in with Omar Gonzalez there, reiterating that there's squeaks coming from the breaks. I think it's a break problem. Gonzalez tells me okay have a seat and I'll update you. Desiree Frank turns over to Gonzalez's table and I overhear only one person is here to do inspection stickers. TWO HOURS LATER. There is no one updating me on anything and I walk to Gonzalez again to ask for an update. He says oh I'll go into the shop and check. So I sit back down. 30 MINUTES LATER. Gonzalez comes back to tell me oh it's a break problem, you've got about 10% breaks left in the back and 20% left in the front. 2 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES FOR PROFESSIONALS TO TELL ME THEY'VE FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG WHEN I TOLD THEM TO LOOK AT THE BREAKS IN THE FIRST PLACE. I, of course, mention I have 10% discount, how much will it be, and Gonzalez immediately tells me $515 dollars plus tax. Being a busy person who knows nothing about cars, I call my father who tells me I'd be over paying. But hey it'd be professional right? Maybe. All I know is that it will be Honda brand good for about 45000 miles. Gonzalez told me it would take about 2 to 2 and a half hours. I asked him okay, well that's a very long time for me to be here, do you have a car I can borrow for the day. He told me NO. THERE'S NO CAR WE CAN LEND YOU WHILE WE SERVICE YOURS. I wait and hope the extra money will give me a piece of mind. 3 HOURS LATER. People are coming in and out of the place. Not me though. Gonzalez slowly made this way towards me to tell me the bad news that my car is not ready. So I ask him "Why is it not ready? This is over the time you promised." He blabbers on about how they are short staffed and the worker also has to service the cars that come in for inspections. EXCUSE ME. So any person off the street would come in for an inspection and despite the fact that I had an appointment and I've already been waiting any other persons who come in will have priority over me? I proceeded to let Gonzalez who is still blabbering on about oh well if someone comes in for a sticker we have to change it, it has to be valid or it'd be against the law. Once he finishes I ask, "I have not heard you say when my car will be completed." He proceeds to say maybe an hour or 2, maybe 3? It is already past 1pm. The man proceeds to say, "We can lend you a car for a bit if you want." BACKTRACK 3 HOURS AGO WHEN I ASKED IF THERE WAS A CAR TO BORROW. SEE WHY I AM SO ANGRY? As I'm getting into the car Gonzalez also throws in "Oh we just ask you fill up to where the gas tank is." It is currently now 2:41PM. I just got the call to pick up my car from Gonzalez. How can you improve? Incomers should and can wait behind people for service of the next available mechanic. If you're short staffed, you shouldn't overbook. Give more accurate wait duration. ----- Update: When I went back to the dealership, I did a in person complaint to Joel Olko, Sales Manager. He was very patient with me as he listened. Unfortunately the Service manager was not there, nor anyone else. According to Joel, my terrible experience will be passed on to the higher ups and get back to me. Let's see if they actually do. More

I couldn’t ask for better service and you couldn’t ask for a better employee to greet the public and be your representative of Lia Honda. She gets my total praise and thanks. More
