I've been taking my 2004 Lexus RX330 to Lexus of Portland for service since I bought it there. They do a great job. Jeff Miller is an excellent service rep. Wife picked out a vehicle, worked with Chris. He said he’d call when the vehicle passed the shop inspection and that it will have new tires. We came in when it was ready. Chris was not available when we arrived so we worked with Calamo. The vehicle never had new tires put on. Strike One. We also discovered that it had been in an accident according to AutoCheck. Strike Two. We were assured that they price their vehicles to market. This car was priced about $2k-$3k over same year and mileage vehicles. They told me that they are ‘one price’ and do not negotiate. Strike Three, so we left. They then told my wife via email that there aren’t enough similar cars in the market to determine a market value but they’ll concede $390 off the (non negotiable) price for our troubles, which I just laughed at having spent a decade in the car business. We have purchased two RX-350’s from Kuni Lexus. Emir, our sales agent told us two things we have passed on to many new Lexus owners. 1, “You will drive slower now. Why? Because it’s not about the destination, but it’s all about the ride.” And 2. “ give it some gas when you get into a curve - it corners like it’s on rails.”. About service - we have religiously had our annual service done with Bill Turner - he is so trustworthy and knowledgeable - treats us like family. We put 160,000 miles on our first car - the only thing we had to change was a lightbulb, our second RX 350 has only needed an alternator and it just turned 11 years old. Way to go, Lexus! More
It was just an oil change at 115,000 miles and it took me more than 2 hours. I contacted the advisor at around minute 90 via SMS and he texted me back saying they were wrapping it up. I'd received the inspection video showing a dirty cabin air filter but never got a chance to let them know I want it replaced. (Strange enough, I later found out in the invoice of the previous service, the cabin air filter was replaced by the same dealer in July - would it only last 5K miles?) There was recommendation of $3,500 new transaxle seal in the advisor's text but never had a chance to get it explained. Close to 120 minutes I texted asking if I can have my car soon but there was no response. Beyond 120 minutes I came out to the service kiosk and found no advisor though I found my car already cleaned in the parking lot. I was in a hurry for my next appointment and asking a valet guy help me get my car key and check out. Another advisor couldn't find my car key for further 15 minutes and insisted the car was being washed (well in fact it was ready in the parking lot), and eventually found the key misplaced on a different service desk. Totally bad experience and great disappointment. Never want to come back with my old RX350 again except with my new RX450h for warranty. More
The managers and my sales person were very professional. They got busy trying to get all the figures worked out so that I didn't have to stay for too much longer. They were very efficient. Everyone was extremely friendly. I loved my Lexus experience and have loved it for 13 years as a previous owner of 2008 SUV RX350. I tell all my friends and relatives how wonderful the service and the people are. Thank you! More
