No other employees even spoke to us while we were in the show room. They low balled us on our trade in and came off of MSRP $1,000 and wanted to charge an outrageous amount for window tint that was already installed. We called Parker Lexus in Little Rock and beat Memphis deal $4,000 over the phone and they tinted the Windows for free. Parker acted like they wanted our business. Lexus of Memphis acted like we had inconvenienced them by showing up. More

Called & spoke with Sean about my GS350 that I wanted to sell. We agreed upon a price over the phone. I stopped by a few days later with the car. They wrote me a check & he even drove me home. Easy trans to sell. We agreed upon a price over the phone. I stopped by a few days later with the car. They wrote me a check & he even drove me home. Easy transaction & fair price. I have bought 4 cars from them over the years & always a good experience. More
I was personally invited to stop by their dealership on January 24th from 5-7pm for the official unveiling of the newly redesigned 2013 Lexus GS350! For an organization that boasts of their passion fo January 24th from 5-7pm for the official unveiling of the newly redesigned 2013 Lexus GS350! For an organization that boasts of their passion for providing a world-class experience, I again was not impressed. I still embrace the thrill of owning and driving a Lexus, but I will never purchase another Lexus from the Memphis dealership. When I entered, there were at least 10 salespeople who basically looked at me as if to say "what are you doing here?" I continued to move about, and still no contact until I asked one salesperson to tell me what would make me want to purchase the 2013 GS350. He appeared stunned and mumbled something about it being a better car than the GS430 that I own, said the GS430 was more conservative...okay. As they continued to sip beer and wine, they never offered us anything or inquired as to whether we were looking for a new vehicle or anything. I am still stunned that in 2012, this could still happen. I must sales team leaves a lot to be desired; however, the service department appears to be much better, so KUDOS to them for having to deal with the folks that the sales team has pissed off. As my friends and I say (4 of which are in the market this year) Nashville, her we come! Respectfully, yet sadly submitted More
I took my LS430 in for a routine oil change and general checkup. I called days before to book a time. I arrived on the day and time and checked in. A friend picked me up and we went to lunch. I called checkup. I called days before to book a time. I arrived on the day and time and checked in. A friend picked me up and we went to lunch. I called 2 hours later and was told car was not ready. I'm thinking, this is odd, never had this happen. So I asked my friend to go ahead and head back to the dealership. Close to 3 hours after I brought my car in, I arrived back only to find it still wasn't ready. When I asked, they had no idea. So, I sat in the waiting room waiting in excess of 3 hours for a simple oil change where I actually scheduled the appointment. Without an apology they slapped the $80 or so dollar fee on me and off I went. Unsatisfied and never going back to that dealership again. Now on another similar story. My wife drives an Acura MDX. Just so happens her previous oil change took about 2 hours. Guess what, Acura insisted that the oil change was free. My wife offered to pay, but being the quality customer service oriented company they apparently are, they sent her off happy even though 2 hours of her day was spent waiting on her car. We will both be back there for sure. Making money of course is a key factor especially in this economy. However, you you don't have the customer service to back it up, your days are numbered. there are plenty of Lexus dealerships in the tri-state area. Memphis is definitely off our list. Thanks for letting me talk. More
I had a very bad experience with Lexus of Memphis. My car will not downshift smoothly. After multiple attempts at repairs, the service rep said it was my fault because of the way I drove the car. He said I n will not downshift smoothly. After multiple attempts at repairs, the service rep said it was my fault because of the way I drove the car. He said I needed to learn how to drive that particular car. WHAT? I have been driving for 30 years. Hello! It is an automatic transmission. During the visits, the service was substandard. After one visit, I was handed the keys. I went out expecting my car to be out front. It was not. Since there was not any one around, I had to search for my car on the back lot. On another visit, the car was pulled around front with mud splashed across the hood. I wrote a polite but firm complaint letter. I received a reply from the store manager, Stefan Smith. Basically, he told me to pound sand. He specifically told me that he had no problem with me going to a different dealership to buy my next car. I sent his letter to Lexus USA. They called and apologized for the content and tone of Smith's letter. Regardless of the Consumers Report evaluation, Lexus has quality issues. Many of my friends have the same transmission problems on my model and multiple other Lexus models. Lexus of Memphis wanted $2200 plus tax for a 60,000 mile check. I had the same work done at a very reputable shop for $989. Multiple attempts to repair the right rear power window. It still does not work. STAY AWAY!! More
