The service was always honest, knowledgeable, and respectful. But since the dealership changed ownership—now called Lexus of Fort Myers—the difference has been night and day. Most of the longtime service staff (many with 15+ years of experience) are gone. I decided to give the new team a chance when I noticed a gasoline smell and suspected a leak. What followed was a nightmare: • I received a video with inaccurate commentary claiming a cracked gas tank and a faulty hose clamp—yet the clamp hadn’t even been removed for inspection. • The repair quote fluctuated wildly, reaching nearly $2,800. • I was given conflicting information throughout the day, and only after insisting did I get my car back—untouched. • The next morning, the service manager called to say they’d repaired the hose and clamp but wouldn’t charge me. Why? “We don’t want a bad review.” I appreciated the gesture, but the trust was broken. Thankfully, I turned to a respected local business I’ve known for decades, which referred me to Walters Automotive. Within hours, they reviewed the video, inspected the hose, and found the real issue: a rodent had chewed a hole in it. No cracked tank. No mystery leaks. Just a straightforward fix—completed the same day for $255.37. I have the damaged hose and photos from both shops. The contrast in service and integrity is staggering. As a senior, disabled woman, I can’t help but wonder if I was seen as an easy target. I’m not one to leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others: question everything if you go to Lexus of Fort Myers. They may speak kindly, but their knowledge and transparency are questionable at best. More
