Took my Lexus to this dealer to have the steering wheel tilt-away motor checked. They inspected the car and gave me a written quote of $1,300.00 to fix the motor. I declined to have the work done and took the vehicle to an independant shop. They checked the steering colunm and indicated it just needed to have the gear repacked with lubricant. Total cost to have the repair done: $ 43.00. This is the third (and last) time that Lexus of ABQ. has quoted rediculous prices to make simple repairs. Find a good independant mechanic (Tokyo Super 66 is great) for your Lexus work and same enough to buy a new one in three years. More

However, when our salesman, left us alone for 10 minutes to handle a car transfer, we had plenty of time to talk ourselves out of the car. We were very surprised that a salesperson would let the deal fall apart in this manner. More
