Do not buy Hyundai! You will regret it. I was sold a 2017 Hyundai from the dealership with about 30k miles on it. This happened while the company knew about all the faults with the 2016-2017 transmissi 2017 Hyundai from the dealership with about 30k miles on it. This happened while the company knew about all the faults with the 2016-2017 transmission and DCT issues (please research the vast array negative testimonials on this line). I go for services 2-3x per year and before the recommended mileages are hit (I have the receipts and documentation to show this). Despite being continuously proactive, it was not long after I starting dropping thousands in unanticipated repairs. Only 2 weeks after a multi-point inspection and supposed tune-up at Lester Glenn in Toms River, the car started stalling. I had to bring it back for additional diagnostics and repairs. Again, a few months later, I had another service done. Part of it involved a light bulb I could have changed myself but was willing to pay a few extra bucks to have done do to business. My mind changed when the service rep, Chris, attempted to up-charge me ~$150 to change the light bulb, claiming the bumper had to be removed. After some stern discussion on how I knew that was not the case, he only admitted to attempting to upcharge me after I refused that particular fix by them. Yes, he actually admitted to trying to upcharge me. After spending a few hundred on some various fluid changes and checks I went on my way. 2 weeks later, the car transmission goes and it can no longer go in reverse. Going forward it becomes dangerous too as it stalls more and stutters. When I bring it back, Lester Glenn and Hyundai say that a transmission replacement will be $4,700. This is while I still have $11,600 still to pay off on this scam of a car I have only had for 2-3yrs and got at ~30K miles. Neither Lester Glenn or Hyundai Corporate offered my family any help with this situation. They did not even wave/refund my prior diagnostic fees and wouldn’t provide a loaner car when I needed it for work! In fact, other than Shawn (head rep at Lester Glenn?), no one there even feigned sympathy or understanding for the matter. Hyundai has sent me from slightly skeptical to full-blown traumatized about the auto industry. Especially in a time where many are financially hurting from the pandemic, their actions and duplicity completely contradict the integrity claims they attempt to advertise. I cannot warn you enough to stay away from their products and from Lester Glenn’s service. I don’t want this happening to anyone else! More

Always something wrong. Started when I bought my vehicle new in 2014. First week I noticed grinding in the front end. I bring it in I was told it was the back seat it was loose. Ok I’m not stupid. I noticed new in 2014. First week I noticed grinding in the front end. I bring it in I was told it was the back seat it was loose. Ok I’m not stupid. I noticed it was still grinding. Needless to say I bought it back (mind you brand new) they had my car almost a month. The whole front end was out and had to be redone. Should of got rid of the car there. Now I notice the back making same noise. I’ve mentioned it several times to the dealer over the 6 years I’ve had this vehicle. I’m told it’s fine. Still does it. Every time I bought it for the free oil changes I was always told something had to be done. I have extended warranty which came in handy as I’ve had minor issues covered. I had a recall on the ECM and they did it. But I failed inspection 7 times. I did all that was recommended to get the computer back to normal. They told me I had to pay to get it looked at. Kidding me it’s their recall. I found someone to rig the system so I can pass inspection it was never fixed. Really, I have to pay for a recall error they did. So, then I had an issue with my map sensor, they repair it under my extended warranty. 3 months later my engine light comes on, same issue. I’ve tried to get my car in, no available openings, never any loners. My car is the heart of the family. I’m depended on with taking my dad to treatments. I travel way up north a couple times a week to take my dad. I’ve had to go on the outside and pay when thus is a warranty covered issue. The fact I couldn’t be seen for almost 4 days was not acceptable. I talked to my mechanic he said the piece looks like it was never even changed. I have it in my possession. Dealer swears it was. I don’t know but all I know is, my extended warranty won’t refund me, dealer said bring piece back let them put it in and see defect and all this. Again, I don’t have time. I have a dad on chemo I’m his sole care taker and take him to his appointments. So now I’ll have to go to corporate. After explaining the urgency to a couple employees no one accommodated me. It’s my fault I didn’t go to a higher up. You would think the employees would think to transfer me to the higher up. I’m kind of disgusted because now I don’t trust my car, it’s almost out of warranty and no one even tried to fix the back end I’ve complained about since I got the car. Which I just deal with now. Annoying as xxxx and worse when someone’s in the back seat. But it’s not about this, but adding it with all I’m writing. This was my first car of this kind and was happy with it. But the fact no one wants to cover the expense I had no other option to do but go somewhere. I don’t play blame game but it’s sad. I don’t think I will get another car like this in the future. Dealing with all this is a headache. I understand they are busy, I get it. The importance that I stressed to the couple employees didn’t matter. I’m not here to put names or bash anyone, I just want to explain my experience. Spoke to the service manager this morning yes he’s nice. But I think a little bit more could of been done. More

Senior Citizen Charged 44.52 for Oil and Filter Change Joseph Molino was the service consultant I worked with. I was shocked when he presented me with a bill of 44.52 for an Oil and Filter Change. I inquir Joseph Molino was the service consultant I worked with. I was shocked when he presented me with a bill of 44.52 for an Oil and Filter Change. I inquired about a senior citizen discount. His reply was no. On Lester Glen's website there was a promotion MA 1338 for 29.95 expiring 11-27-19, I guess this promotion does not apply to senior citizens. On the Customer's Copy of the Bill, the breakdown was Job 1 Parts $21.99. Job 2 Labor $17.96 Then there was a Misc charge $1.80 and titled Job "A" On page 4 Dealership Copy indicated "A basic oil and filter change with multi-point performed and supplies" totaled 15.82, The dealership has to make a profit but the difference between $44.52 and $15.82. is too great. RECOMMENDATION-suggested to have oil pan resealed (Not replaced or new) which would take 4-5 hours. A loaner car would be provided, but I would have to pay $35.00. Very dissatisfied with treatment towards a senior citizen. Joseph Molino you win the 'SHAME ON YOU employee of year award. More

He was considerate about getting my paperwork set up and off to work on time. He treated me with respect and as a true valued customer (my family have bought 4 cars through LG). They had a shuttle ready to take me to work. Peter Torriselli was my driver and was such a nice and considerate guy. I was at work for 30 minutes and I received a call that my car was done already. You guys are a class act! More
