The best experience I have ever had while purchasing a vehicle. They were friendly, helpful, and most important knowledgable. To Whom It May Concern, My husband and I lost our car in a very bad car accident. We were fortunate to go to Lester Glenn Buick in Toms River, N.J.where we met Ed Smuda and Dan Bennett. We explained our circumstances to Ed that we did not have too much money to spend and he went above and beyond to help us purchase a vehicle for that day. Ed Smuda went to Dan Bennett the financial manager and together they worked out a price for us so we could take home a car that day. I just want to tell you that Ed Smuda showed alot of compassion in regards to our personal problem and we will be going back to Lester Glenn to purchase a new vehicle as soon as we straighten out our problem. My husband and I, at the suggestion of a friend at another car dealership, went to Lester Glenn in Toms River to look for a new Acadia. The salesperson we were told to ask for was Mike Amarando. We co another car dealership, went to Lester Glenn in Toms River to look for a new Acadia. The salesperson we were told to ask for was Mike Amarando. We could not have been more pleased. Mike showed us a car and went with us for a trial run. We told him what we wanted in the car, and what we didn't. Although he did not have the specific car on the lot, he put out a search for the car. He thought he had it and we went home. Mike called us shortly after we got home and informed us it had been sold. So, Mike looked again, and came up with a car we would be satisfied with. However, it was more than we anticipated spending, but Mike did some negotiating, and the price came within our reach. He was professional,courteous, and very knowlegeable. The managers we dealt with at closing were also professional and courteous. Mike even hooked me up to Bluetooth and On Star! Great job Mike, I would recommend you to others looking for a car. More

He was refered to me by a couple of family members who deal with him for every car purchase. He takes the pressure of and makes it a pleasureable experience with his great sense of humor. His knowledge of the products they sell is second to none. Combined making for a educational & pressure free buying experience. Sometimes when servicing on of my cars up at Lester Glenn our path's cross. Whenever that happens Bill always follows up. Asking if everything is okay and how the car is running. Bill alway's wants to know if I'm getting out of the car the things that were important at the point of sale. With the last car being a comuter car Bill ask if I get the miles that were expected & if the family is comfortable. Bill always remembers who I am and what I'm driving. When purchasing a car for me I need to be relaxed. It's very important to know the person your being helped by is not just looking to make the sale and move on. My needs being met are very important I don't want to compromise. These are the things that make dealing with Bill the right move. Bill keeps a mental picture of your familys needs and objectives & makes sure they all get filled. To Bill's credit he does this without putting unwanted pressure on the client. My biggest issue with Lester Glenn Buick GMC is regarding the purchase price and items that were not made clear to me prior to signing the contract. First, I had researched available rebates/promotions on the purchase price and items that were not made clear to me prior to signing the contract. First, I had researched available rebates/promotions on this particular car, and I'm not sure I really received all of them that I was entitled to. The paperwork doesn't break down the rebates and credits, so I'm not sure what was applied. There was alot of discussion and numbers being thrown around ... way too fast for me to capture them all! Second, I did not receive the "Itemization of Gross Capitalized Cost" form that detailed the additional items that I was being charged for prior to signing the contract -- I was purchasing the car at the end of the day, and was rushed thru the paperwork signing. It wasn't until I arrived home that I noticed discrepancies that I couldn't account for -- when I went back to the dealer the next morning to go thru my visual inspection, I mentioned this to my salesman, and he had me talk with the people in charge of the contracts and paperwork. **They** produced this document which included a "Lease Acquistion Fee" of $895 that I was never told about; in addition, there is a "Rent Charge" and a "Termination Fee" that appears on the contract that was never explained during our negotiations. I had mentioned that I never leased a car before, so I feel these additional charges should have been explained in detail before asking me to sign paperwork. When I mentioned to my salesman that the 'discrepancy' included a "Lease Acquisition Fee", he said "you won't have to pay for that" -- I then told him that it was already written into the contract, so I had already been charged for it! Third, I don't even really know what rate I'm actually being charged by the finance company ... unlike a purchase, which provides the interest rate, I simply see an amount that I'm paying each month. I **do** like the Lester Glenn policy that you can get a free loaner rental if/when you have work performed on your car -- this will be quite useful. I like my car, but this part of the purchase experience has soured my opinion a bit on Lester Glenn for now. I'm not sure what I can do about it at this point other than to keep this in mind when I start looking for a car for my daughter in the near future. More
Everyone we spoke to at the dealer were extremely helpful, friendly and responsive to our needs and concersn. Ed Smuda is by far one of the most professional sales representative that I have met in helpful, friendly and responsive to our needs and concersn. Ed Smuda is by far one of the most professional sales representative that I have met in many, many years. Ed listened to our needs, conerns and wants before giving the usual "sales pitch" given in most dealerships. Ed "sold" himself first, then the car. He really LISTENED to us. Ed tyook his time explaining the working of the new GMC to us, especially the newer technology which our older car did not have. A few days following our purchase, Ed not only sent us a thank you note but followed up with a phone call. I have recommendede Ed and Lester Glen to several of my friends. Hope the were listening. All encounters with the employees of Lester Glenn GMC were positive ones. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about their jobs and the cars themselves. We needed a great deal of explaination about whether we should lease or buy. Mike took his time to explain things to us.If we needed any clarificatin he gave us the information again without making us feel silly for asking. He also informed us of any incentives that we qualified for {thank you for that!) Then it was on to Bill who took care of us as if we were friends! He made filling out the paperwork as painless as he could. He answer all questions and even made an appointment to show us all tech.the car has to offer at a better time for us since we were not taking the car with us that evening. Then we met Ed F who filled out all our finacial paperwork and explained all the options available for various coverage programs. He also was a very friendly and knowledgeable young man who made us feel very comfortable asking anything we wanted info on. Two days later we picked up our new leased car and Mike introduced us to Ed S who had been asked by Bill(who was off) to explain the various features in our new vehicle. Ed made us feel pretty confident by the time we left the lot. He was extremely patient with us and answered all the questions we had and set up several features on our dashboard for us. Thank you for that ( He did in 5 min. what would have taken us hours to do!!!) All in all we had a very positive experience at Lester Glenn GMC. More
