We had decided to go to Lester Glenn since we have heard great things about this company. When we arrived Ed met us and made us feel at ease from the start. Our plan was not to buy that day but we wound up great things about this company. When we arrived Ed met us and made us feel at ease from the start. I had an absolutely wonderful car buying experience at Lester Glenn. I followed Mr. Bill Tompkins over from GMC of Freehold because of his impeccable service when I purchased my GMC Terrain in 2010. Mr. T Lester Glenn. I followed Mr. Bill Tompkins over from GMC of Freehold because of his impeccable service when I purchased my GMC Terrain in 2010. Mr. Tompkins' friendliness & customer service has far outreached anything I have witnessed in the car business in my 15+ years of shopping for cars. I drove an extra 45 minutes out of my way (when Freehold GMC is basically in my backyard) simply to keep the friend/business relationship I had with Mr. Tompkins and to stay a loyal customer to someone who has been nothing but helpful to me over the last 3+ years. Unfortunately for Mr. Tompkins, I wasnt searching for a used car. My wife originally thought she wanted a new GMC Acadia. So Mr. Tompkins put me in touch with Mr. Ed Florvante and Mr. Mike Amarando. They were both extremely helpful in answering any questions I had about the Acadia. When my wife could not make up her mind as to which car she wanted, they remained patient & helpful and did anything they could to help aide us in the direction of buying the vehicle that was best for me & family. My wife bounced around to Hyundai & Chevrolet after GMC, but all along I never received the same level of help & customer service I experienced at GMC/Buick. My wife just could not get over her love of the Buick Enclave to settle on any other truck. When Mr. Tompkins & Mr. Amarando heard that was her dream truck, they bent over backwards to assist me in coming up with not only my wifes truck of her dreams (she absolutely loved the White Diamond Enclave), but they kept working numbers until it became affordable for me. I drove home my wifes new car last night and absolutely LOVED it. The best part of all was being able to see a big smile on my wifes face. And for that, I can never thank both Mr. Tompkins & Mr. Amarando enough. As a matter of fact, my sister and brother-in-law also wound up purchasing a new GMC Acadia from Mike, based off of my glowing recommendation of both Mike & Lester Glenn. As long as you have quality guys like Mr. Tompkins & Mr. Amarando, you will always have a customer for life in me. I am indebted to those gentlemen. The dealership personel,beginning with Mike ,were attentive and spent the time neccessary to allow us to select a vehicle that matched our needs and desires. MIKE PROVIDED US WITH A COMPREHENSIVE INTRODUCTION TO THE TERRAIN and arranged a test drive. In addition he patiently conducted a computer search to find us just the right vehicle. Personnel were sympathetic to our ROMEO waiting out ih the cold car and invited him in for warmth and refreshment. This was a new car buying experience for us ...one we can truly recommend...... Mike was great. He knew we had 2 sick children at home and needed to be in and out as fast as possible. He didn't waste our time with unnecessary things. We went to this dealership due to a car we found on auto-trader. The car was exactly as described. We drove it and really liked it. John was very helpful and answered all our questions. I am completely grateful because now I understand why dealerships of integrity, like Lester Glenn, and its work force, don't usually sell cars of this age (2000 Buick Le Sabre). They listened to my plight and went extremely out of their way to help me. I am pretty sure they would do the same for you. (I did however, bribe them with chocolate chip cookies. :}) Here is my story. Many weeks before Superstorm Sandy I found myself knee deep in a puddle with my 98 Malibu with only 110,000 miles on it. Unemployed, I stopped at the Ford dealership where I lucked into "sunny" the 98 Malibu with 20,000 miles in great condition for 5000.00. I needed a deal like this again. They (Ford) said they would help, but no call. A few days later I stopped into Lester Glenn Buick, I was assigned to John Bencivenga and the man did his best to help even driving in the pouring rain that very night to Manahawkin to get a car for me to test drive. This particular car was not suitable for a number of reasons. John did not try to talk me into it just assured me he would keep looking. I stopped in almost everyday.- Dan Bennet (the manager?) seemed not to mind the visits and accepted my desperation as a challenge (or he just wanted to help :}) He asked me specific questions and promised to keep his eyes open. I believe Dan and/or John checked at least once a day. A few calls came but the cars were too small for a big girl. The call came for a 2000 Buick Le Sabre. I went to the test drive, and truth be told, the car was, to say the least, not clean. I was assured the car would be cleaned and checked to a completely satisfactory level. I agreed and the wheels (pun intended!:} were set in motion. to cut to the chase, I picked up a sparkling, clean and working automobile. In the ensuing month ( and 1st 1000 miles) there were numerous issues, as is to be expected in a car of this age from lights, to brakes, to transmission and even the gas gauge. Mechanic Guiseppe ( who had coincidently helped me with Sunny the Malibu almost a year before) assured me they would take care of the problem Dan insisted they would stand behind their product and they did their best to successfully correct all of Cindy's (new car's name) problems. From Jessica in service to Heather on the desk, people on the phone, Mark in service in addition to John, Dan and Guissepe everyone worked to make me happy. only Bill in service got a bit testy, but truth be told, I couldn't have been more of a pain if corporate offices had sent me to test the operations, mechanics, sale force and service department an put them through their paces. Rest assured they earned the checkered flag. I would not hesitate to recommend John B. and the staff at Lester Glenn Buick in Toms River to anyone. Trust me,I am one tough cookie to please. More
