Following the first snow of 2014, I totaled my Jetta. This was, naturally, unexpected so I went to Leith VW exploring the options since I hadn't anticipated needing a new car so soon. Ken was standing out front when I arrived and quickly understood my situation and what I was looking for. For the next 2.5 hours, he walked me through every used option, and then every new option. We talked through all sorts of financial situations so that I could have an education conversation with my parents and figure out the best option for me. When I called them later, he had prepared me perfectly and they were almost immediately on board. A few days later, we came back to Leith VW to lease the 2014 Jetta I had driven with Ken. After we had wrapped my paperwork, my mom mentioned she might like to look at new VWs, as well. Ken seamlessly transitioned from addressing my needs into working with my mom to understand her current vehicle situation and what she might want in a VW. Ultimately, she and I both drove off the lot in new cars. I would argue that it would be difficult to make the process of buying a car fun (test drive aside), but Ken was absolutely the best sales consultant I've ever worked with. I didn't feel disadvantaged by being young or not knowing a lot about cars. When my lease is up, he will absolutely be the person I call to discuss next steps. I'm sure my mom would say the same. Had a great experience buying a used vehicle through Leith VW. We came looking specifically at the Hyundai Santa Fe on the Leith Honda lot. Because the Honda dealership was crowded, there were not any Leith VW. We came looking specifically at the Hyundai Santa Fe on the Leith Honda lot. Because the Honda dealership was crowded, there were not any salespeople available to show us the car. However, we were directed to the VW dealer (vehicle was initially seen on the VW website) where we met with Ken. The communication between the two dealerships was smooth and made this process a non-issue. Ken helped us immediately and with a lack of aggressiveness that was greatly appreciated. He quickly allowed us to take the car for a test drive. Because we were just starting the car search, we were not ready to make a decision that day. When we told Ken that we would need to discuss it and do some research, he was not pushy in trying to get us to agree to anything further right then, which has been a consistent problem at other dealers. This was a quick and efficient visit without the hassle that comes with many other used car buying experiences. When we decided to pursue the purchase of this vehicle, Ken made us feel comfortable in discussing the price and helped us get it down to something we could afford. Overall, I would highly recommend working with the team at Leith VW. More
Car buying experiences can be stressful for the consumer. You don't want to get taken advantage of and their is always a little hint of mistrust with car dealerships. I have purchased three vehicles from Leith from three different sales Sales Consultants. Alan provided the great Leith VW experience that our family has come to expect. He was very laid back in the selling process and asked questions to elicit what I valued most in vehicle selection. Being a large VW enthusiast, there was not a great deal of information around the vehicles that Alan augmented through discussion; however, he did bring up some points that online browsing had not highlighted to me. The negotiation process was very smooth with Leith meeting my expectations both on the new car price and trade in value. All in all, Leith provides an excellent new car purchasing experience that you can trust. I still keep my guard up on the service side. More

I came to Leith Volkswagen to for an overdue service appointment for my 2009 Jetta TDI. Having thoroughly examined my car, it was discovered that I had some critical maintenance issues that required im appointment for my 2009 Jetta TDI. Having thoroughly examined my car, it was discovered that I had some critical maintenance issues that required immediate or near-immediate attention. I commute about 80 miles per day and my car is an investment that is essential to my daily life and livelihood. Having just paid off my vehicle, I was looking forward to many "free" miles ahead. Needless to say, I was not prepared to replace my car or spend several thousand dollars on the repairs. I spoke to Jack McCausland, the sales manager, and he could not have been nicer. I explained my situation and how I had invested the extra money on the diesel engine in hopes that it would last well over 250,000 miles and that I could not easily afford the necessary maintenance to my car. Having seen on this site, dealerrater.com, that Leith Volkswagen received 4.9/5 stars in every category, I hoped that Jack and his team would stand behind their product and do what they could to help me. I was correct. Jack was very kind to offer me a a great value for my trade-in and new vehicle. Having seen how Jack stood behind the Volkswagen product, I decided to purchase my second Jetta. Alan Gidney was a huge asset in helping me understand the differences between the Jetta I was trading in and the one I was purchasing, showing me features that were the same on both cars and those features that had changed from the 2009 model I was driving to the 2011 edition I was purchasing. The short version of the story is that I was in a situation that would have been very difficult for me and thanks to Jack and Alan, I am now in a much newer (85,000 miles newer--which is a big deal when you put 30,000 miles per year on a car) vehicle and in a position that I feel very comfortable with financially. This experience could have made me sour on Volkswagen for life, but after the way that Jack and Alan handled it, I will remain a loyal customer in the years ahead. Also, I LOVE my new Jetta!!! More
I called before hand to see if the car was in stock before driving up, when I got there it was in stock, a big plus because I've been lied to before by other dealers (for a different maker) just to get before driving up, when I got there it was in stock, a big plus because I've been lied to before by other dealers (for a different maker) just to get me into the show room. As soon as I got there he pulled the car around for a test drive, it was a good route too, highway, turns, stops, hills, ect.. After driving the car I was sure I was going to get one. They even honored a quote from another dealer obtained from a car buying service. I hate negotiations, so this was a big plus. I decided to get a different car than the one I test drove (needed the sun roof..) so we spent a little time talking and going over a few things. As the car was getting detailed I got a recommendation for some awesome pulled pork bbq and returned to pick up the car. Buying a car is a lengthy process, normally because the dealer/sales, but here they are quick and precise. More
