We walked on the lot and began looking at cars. For about 30 minutes we were not even approached by a salesperson. This was a weekday. There were salespeople walking around the inside, but no one cam about 30 minutes we were not even approached by a salesperson. This was a weekday. There were salespeople walking around the inside, but no one came up to us and said hello. We looked inside a new odyssey and finally FOUND someone who might help, he said he was helping a customer and gave us to another salesperson who did finally help us, Jeff Johnson. However, after sitting down to negotiate the price on the car we wanted, the dealership let us walk out the door with the car price was within a couple thousand dollars of our expectations. They didn't offer to do any other negotiations on interest rate, price, payment, trade in, or incentives. They just said that was it. They let us walk out of there without the car. It was okay, though, we went to Crown the next day, knowing what we wanted, had a great experience with the salespeople, and bought the same vehicle with a couple simple negotiations. I don't know if the dealership didn't think we were serious, or if they just didn't feel like selling a car, but that was the poorest negotiating I've ever seen a dealership do. I don't think it even had to do with Jeff himself, it was the team doing the negotiating. Lost another customer and from your ratings so far, looks like you are losing more than one. More
I sent my son there to pick up a pair of rear brakes. My I sent my son there to pick up a pair of rear brakes. My son was sitting in the car to call me and the service man approached him and ask him what he needed. He stated he needed some brakes. The service man did a diagnostic test on the brakes without my permission. My son thought he was signing to purchase brakes when all along he was signing for service. I didn't even have an appointment to get any service. I talked to the service advisor and service manager and they claim that my son order the service. I was stuck with paying for a diagnostic service that I didn't need. Ironcially, they would not accept my pre-written check for payment of the diagnostic service because I was not present even though they accepted my son's signature to do the diagnostic test. I will never do business with Leith Honda again. More
I would rate this zero stars if I could. I have never been so outraged by a business in my life. They posted a price on the Internet, so I went to view the vehicle advertised. When I presented the ad I h been so outraged by a business in my life. They posted a price on the Internet, so I went to view the vehicle advertised. When I presented the ad I had printed out the sales guy said I didn't know of this price but if you have an ad WE WILL match the price. He went and spoke to his boss and came back and said it was a mistake. We spoke to the boss, a fat arrogant bald guy, who was unapologetic and rude. He had no desire to right their wrong. He was quite frankly a prick. Not only did they do this at this dealership, we drove down the road to Chris leith chevy and the same thing occurred. Apparently this leith monopoly thinks it's ok to post prices they will not honor. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS MONOPOLY OF DEALERSHIPS. GO TO CROWN. they used wrong business tactics and when called out on it were rude and unhelpful. More
Visited this dealership 3 times in past 2 years. Got badgered by lot salesman every time. They will not listen and will not answer questions directly. Very difficult to negotiate with and there is no badgered by lot salesman every time. They will not listen and will not answer questions directly. Very difficult to negotiate with and there is no negotiation on subcompact cars (e.g. Honda Fit). "Add-on" fees are very high, e.g. "Documentation" fee is $399.00! Parts department: Prices are ABOVE retail...if you need to ask what the price is, you can't afford the part. Order online and pay up to 50% less. More
We researched our last purchase online. We contacted several dealers in our area as well a the RDU area. Local dealers did not seem interested in working with us, but Leith and another dealer in Cary d several dealers in our area as well a the RDU area. Local dealers did not seem interested in working with us, but Leith and another dealer in Cary did. Leith offered us the best price, we completed the application online, arrived at the dealership and walked out in an hour with the car. This was the best car buying experience ever for a few reasons. One, we did the research and knew what we wanted. Two, we knew our credit and knew that we were eligible for the 2.9% rate. Three we settled on a price and did not have to haggle. Dealing with the finance manager was a breeze because I had alreay looked at warranties on my own and did not need to finance that. I would recommend people doing their research and haggling online rather than spending hours trapped at a dealership. Less stress. Good experience for me, and I will buy another car from Leith. More
I had a HORRIBLE car buying experience at Leith Honda in Raleigh! Not only was I begged time and time again by the dealer to make sure to visit the website and give him a good review... after he treated me Raleigh! Not only was I begged time and time again by the dealer to make sure to visit the website and give him a good review... after he treated me poorly, but when I told them that my bank had a better interest rate than they could give me, he told me that I could not leave by myself to go to the bank. Instead, he had to drive me there and walk inside the bank with me to try to get the loan. This is NOT the right way to treat someone purchasing a car from your establishment. You do not force yourself along with someone to their bank to overlook their private information while they get a car loan. No, I did not get the loan there. We turned around, came back and then they tried time and time again to screw me over with a terrible rate unless I paid an additional $3,000.00 for an unnecessary warrenty. It was a horrible experience! The price they quoted when I visited the first time was not the price that they gave me when my car finally arrived. I do not trust them and will never use them again! They were not straightforward when I asked questions and the dealer was not helpful at all. He wouldn't quit begging me to give him good online ratings when I got home. Haha! Of COURSE he's getting HORRIBLE ratings...they were mean, PUSHY PUSHY PUSHY and I will always remember the terrible experience at Leith Honda. More
