The only pleasant part about service is the woman, Dawn who politely makes your appointments and tends to you at pick up. As for the rest, well my 2010 EOS has had issue after issue. The most recent was after is 4th "yearly checkup" (for which I was hammered with a staggering $740.00, as only 3 checkups are covered and the 4th is the "biggie.") Within a week or two of the visit, my driver's side window mechanism went. (MIND YOU, THIS CAR IS ONLY 4 YEAR OLD AND HAS LESS THAN 15,000 MILES. It is only used during fair weather, as it is my "special car" and RARELY HAS A PASSENGER!) When I picked up the alleged fixed car, my husband noticed that the passenger's door panel was off tract?! When I brought this to the attention of the service department, an appointment was made. When I brought the car in, I was belittled by the service manager, Scott, who eluded that this was somehow MY fault!? I was also told that the door panel would have to be ordered, as they did not do that and another appointment would have to be made. We are now being given the run-around on the BUMPER TO BUMPER EXTENDED WARRENTY! Scott in service will tell you this really doesn't exist! What a "legend" for me to share with my family and friends and their families and friends. I'm sure social networking will help me get the word out! More
Poor Service Dear Mr. Ledd-I wanted to take the time out of my hectic life, to write a review for others to take into consideration. We wanted to get our daughter Dear Mr. Ledd-I wanted to take the time out of my hectic life, to write a review for others to take into consideration. We wanted to get our daughter who is now 20, a safe and reliable car to drive back and forth to college. We purchased the VW Jetta. We looked at Legend Audi/Volkswagon but wasn't impressed with the dealership or the salesman. At the time, we were in the Market for a new car ourselves. So in one shot,we bought the Audi Q5 and the VW Jetta from another dealer. Within months, someone stole my daughters bag at school with her keys in it. So we were down a key. And a trip to the Yankee game this week and the LIRR and somehow the last set of keys went missing. So we called the closest dealer, as time was of the essence and called over to Legend to order a new key that had to be programmed in to her car. Ron in parts explained that a tow truck would come and tow her car to the dealer where they would program the car in the service department. So when the key arrived this morning, they transferred me to Christy in service to schedule that. She said she slotted us in for a 10 am service. I asked her what would happen and she explained that we could follow the tow truck over and once that arrived, they would program the chip in the key and we would be on our way. So I left for work and let my daughter take my car and follow the tow truck and handle the service. Then I get a phone call at work at 12:20 that my 2 kids are still sitting on your couch, waiting for someone, ANYONE to help them !!! What ? ! 2 hrs !!! For a key ? ! And finally Bill from Service walked over and asked them if they needed help.I had to leave my job and drive to your dealership myself to take care of this - Shame on you guys for mistreating a young girl who was alone and trying to handle an already stressful situation ! What a life lesson-Please know I would rather drive the extra time from Massapequa and spend the extra money on gas to go to the dealership in Huntington where we bought our cars. And please know that we just picked up our 3rd addition to the Audi Volkswagon family- an amazing A 5 and it is sincerely YOUR LOSS of business from us -Dawn C Massapequa NY More
I do not recommend this dealership at all and it appears by other reviews that people had the same problem i did with the service department. I had a minor repair done and the minute i left the deapership i by other reviews that people had the same problem i did with the service department. I had a minor repair done and the minute i left the deapership i had 2 additional new issues with my Audi A5, issues i never had before intook the car to Legend Audi. When i took the car back to repair what they broke on my car they wanted to charge over $300. Why would i pay for something they ruined???? Also people are rude and very unprofessional and mechanics are incompetent unless they are insturcted to keep breaking things on the customers cars so they can charge more money when we take the cars back. I do not trust their service and i think they are dishonest. Horrible experience... More

When the service was completed, I picked up the car, drove home the short distance, and parked in my driveway. The next morning while at a traffic light, the car started to go on fire from the engine and eventually burst into flames. Thankfully no one was hurt, but I don't believe it was a coincidence that it happened a few hours since the car was picked up from the service at Legend Audi Volkswagon in Amityville. When I told them of the incident, they had no explanation and were only able to say "sorry it happened". They were unprofessional from the start and the end result of the car showed, unfortunately. If you plan on having your car serviced there, I would strongly advise against it. More
This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Their service department will rip you off any chance it gets. Brought my Audi in to have the brakes fixed as they were making lots of squeaking noise. Service said I needed new rotors + pads which I thought was xx since the squeaking was happening at 12k miles. Paid $600 for new brakes, still making noise even after new brakes. They couldn't fix, said it was normal. Brought to another dealer and the other dealer said there was a TSB (technical service bulletin) available for my car and I would be entitled to free brakes from the manufacturer. Apparently the TSB calls for using a different style of brakes that don't make noise. So basically not only did Legend sell me brakes I didnt need to pay for, they sold me the same brakes that cause the issue in the TSB! Asked for new wipers and they installed wipers that literally hung off the side of the car. Required I bring the Audi back to them to fix. I am not sure what they were thinking when they installed them because the average person would notice they were the wrong size. When you turn the blades on, the one blade was literally smacking and bouncing against the far windshield trim (the video I took of this with my phone looks so obvious). When washing my car they left spray residue all over the door and interior panels of my car. Took them three days to get it off completely. I had a crackling noise coming from an inside dash speaker. Legend decides to replace a door speaker not once, but twice... even after I told them which speaker was making the noise. Apparently this dealer makes it commonplace to install things on your car without TESTING them first. Had to make four separate trips to this dealer and I left with nothing fixed. Took the Audi to Huntington and Huntington fixed everything in half a day. I told Legend I wanted a FULL refund for everything I paid them. I said we could take the easy way or we can take the hard way. Apparently Legend wants to take the hard way which I am fine with because they refuse to issue a FULL refund for all services. I still find it absolutely absurd that they wanted to CHARGE me for brakes when I was entitled to free brakes from Audi. Well I know why they wanted to charge me because they probably make more money selling items vs. doing warranty repairs. But what pisses me off the most is the brakes that I PAID FOR were still the same crappy brakes that Audi of America says NOT to use. Legend even had the nerve to tell me that the squeaking brakes are "normal" based on driving conditions and cold weather. Normal eh? So normal that Audi of America has identified a problem with the brakes and are issing a FREE fix? Legend Audi says the TSB is only good for vechicles up to 12000 miles, but this is not the case since Audi of Huntington was able to apply the TSB and this TSB is ALL OVER THE INTERNET. All you have to do is a google search of "Audi TSB 2027636" and you will find all the info you need about my problem. Not a single post about a 12k mile restriction from Audi or any customer out there saying the dealer wouldn't apply the TSB. I WILL get all my money back after disputing on my credit card and a few emails to the Audi CEOs in Germany along with a negative survey for every trip I went to this dealer. I also have emails of a number of high executives for Audi of America that I will be contacting today. The Service Manager Scott is probably the biggest crook out of all of the people there as he basically lied throughout the entire process. And I am not surprised because every time either myself or my wife was at the Service desk, there were other customers in there also complaining about other items (like how one guy got scammed on the extended Warranty Legend sold him, and another lady saying that none of her cellphones will connect to the bluetooth on her Audi). AVOID Legend Audi. More
I am furious with the dishonesty of the service department at Legend Volkswagen. I took my car in for service 2 weeks ago and it cost me $650 to repair my cooling system. The next day, my car tells department at Legend Volkswagen. I took my car in for service 2 weeks ago and it cost me $650 to repair my cooling system. The next day, my car tells me I still need service. Last night, the check engine light comes back on. I brought it in and was told there is an evaporation leak which would cost $850. I thought this was strange considering I had just brought the car in and it had apparently been fully inspected (they recommended brakes and such as per the usual from shady dealership service departments ... i can visually see my brakes are fine for at least another 8,000 miles). Anyway, I did not pay the exorbitant price and instead, called my friend who has a pretty good understanding of vehicles. He told me to tighten the gas cap, and voila! Check engine light is now off. Now either the service department is full of imbeciles who couldn't figure out to perform this simple procedure, or, they were trying to rob me of $850. Do not bring your vehicle to this service department unless you want to throw cash into the trash. More
Quality of service was horrible. After car was serviced, other problems occurred because they did not have appropriate quality checks. Asked to speak to service manager, he was busy...never got back to me. other problems occurred because they did not have appropriate quality checks. I called ahead to make an appointment to have my one-year-old leased Jetta serviced and inspected at its 10,000 mile mark. I was told to come in at 9:30 a.m. and I told them I was staying with the c one-year-old leased Jetta serviced and inspected at its 10,000 mile mark. I was told to come in at 9:30 a.m. and I told them I was staying with the car since I had no way home. When I arrived at 9:30, Dawn reiterated again that I would be staying with the car and they would try to have me "in and out in no time." Well three, yes 3, hours later, I was finally leaving. My car sat in front of the building for two hours while I read my newspaper waiting. I finally went to ask and she said they were moving it in and when the papers came out, she'd come to get me. I waited and then asked her again about my car, explaining that I have a second VW Jetta one-year-old to bring in on Thursday for the exact same thing. What can I do not to wait? Can I come in at 7 a.m.? Well, she said, no one will be here at 7 a.m. but you can come at 7:30 a.m. and the mechanics start at 8 a.m. and there is only one other car at that time. Well, time kept ticking by. Now I was on the 2 1/2 hour wait. I asked her again if there was another way to do this; can I drop my car off the night before? Yes, she said and handed me an envelope for the keys. I asked about my car. She said they were washing it and it would be right out. I waited outside, no car. I went back in and as I came in, she went out the back door. Another woman sitting at her computer said, "I think she went for your car." So I went back outside. Still no car. I started to walk around the back but came back into the office. At that point a service man came in carrying keys and I asked if they were mine. "Oh, I don't know," he said, and handed me the keys without asking for ID or anything. Luckily it was my car at 12:30 p.m. and guess what? It wasn't washed! So what was I waiting for? And there was a courtesy car sitting right out front but no one bothered to ask if I wanted to use it. Here's what Honda did for my husband the next day for his car being inspected: greeted him by name under a tent, wrote his ticket and sent him inside, asked if he was staying and if so did he want a doughnut and coffee, asked if they could take him back to his office in a courtesy van, and picked him up. Honda has SERVICE; this dealership DID NOT! More
