I have serviced my volkswagen GTI in a few dealerships locally, and my experience has never been greater or more pleasant then my dealings with Legend. The service advisors Dawn and Robert are always very locally, and my experience has never been greater or more pleasant then my dealings with Legend. The service advisors Dawn and Robert are always very knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help me. Whenever i call to make appointments for sercice the receptionist Jasmine always is willing to help work around my difficult schedule, even offering shuttle rides to work or my home. This dealership is very busy so even the manager Edward or Tara would get on the phone with me to give me updates or explain the concerns. Sometimes the technicians will also get on the phone or even take a drive with me in my car to help me better understand whats going on. I will only service my car with Legend because they are the best, and strongly recommend anyone who loves their car as much as I do to do the same. More
I have bought over a dozen new cars in my life - this was the best experience I ever had with a car dealer. 3 years ago I went to Legend looking to lease a Jetta.I had a very pleasant with Barrington,who unfortunately no longer works there.In a matter of days I had my Jetta & was happy.My intial visits to the se had a very pleasant with Barrington,who unfortunately no longer works there.In a matter of days I had my Jetta & was happy.My intial visits to the sevice center were pleasant as well.That was all short lived.The staff changed & they are now the worst service people I have ever had to deal with.They are extremely rude and unprofessional.Everytime I dropped my car off for serice there was a problem.They keep your car from 8am until 5pm only to look at it.The part always has to be ordered and this takes WEEKS not the few days promised.Everytime I had to call looking for my part.I never received a phone call from them saying it was in,even though thats the promise.If you drop your car off for service they will have someone take you home so you dont have to sit & wait.That would be nice if they didnt text &/or talk on the phone with you in the car.I even called the service manager about this & he couldnt care less.I did attempt to give them one last chance when my lease was up.Big mistake.Legend does not care for or value your business.They act like they are doing you a favor by letting you lease/purchase a car from them.After my first visit there to trade in my jetta,weeks went by & I was still no closer to having a new car.I went to Platinum VW in Hicksville & in one day traded in my old Jetta for a new one.If it wasnt for Platinums excellent service I would be done with VW for good.~jessie More
We called around to several VW dealers in our area on a Friday afternoon looking for a great deal on a Beetle. This was the first ti9me that I had visited this dealer. The only reason I did go there was because I saw their ad in Newsday and they had the best price. We leased a Volkswagen Passat and there have been continuous problems. Brought in for recall "fix" and it came back with electrical problems. Tried to get another appt to repair. You call, they say continuous problems. Brought in for recall "fix" and it came back with electrical problems. Tried to get another appt to repair. You call, they say they will call back to schedule an appt. They never do, so you call again and again. Finally, we got an appt. brought the car there at 7:30 AM on a weekday. Called & called to get update, said they were still checking (really believe they didn't check car yet). Car was there overnight and entire next day. Told us they "don't provide loaners". Car ultimately was in for 2 1/2 days, never repaired - finally said they had to order a part. 3 weeks later, rcvd call, part was in. When we cb, nobody knew anything about it (that was when you got a person, not automated message). Woman who called and lm said she had no idea. Now, entire navigation system has also gone out and still unable to get appt. Finally, called Sunrise Volkswagen and we are going there. Apparently, they only care about their Audi customers - don't purchase/lease a Volkswagen thru this dealer - this has been the "worst experience" ever with a dealer. Have spent $300.00 so far on rental cars ourselves and no repair on the V. More
Service requires you to line up outside (in the cold and rain perhaps) until the service office opens. There is no system by which you can check in and then wait in your car or indoors. Cars washed after servicing.<br><br>Fairly long waits for service appointments. Service area is fairly small but the work has been reasonalbly compentent. Friendly service managers.<br><br>No loaner cars unless the work goes overnight and then you get whatever Executive Rent-A-Car has available. You have to fill out the paperwork at Executive. I got a nasty Chrysler PT Cruiser which was embarassing to be seen in.<br><br>Apparently they are planning to build a new sales-service facility. It is much needed.<br> More
