first and foremost I booked an appointment to look at a car and when I got there the car was conveniently not there to look at. I had to book an other appointment for 2 days later to look at the same car a car and when I got there the car was conveniently not there to look at. I had to book an other appointment for 2 days later to look at the same car and the damage that the car had was not anything besides major major damage. ended up looking at a car that was one year newer than the car that I originally wanted to look at. when talking to the car salesman Michael he had said that if I put half down and have the other down that they can get me financed. what they failed to mention is that they had put my credit through to nine different credit unions for $14,000. The car was for sale for a little less than $11,000 including tax. I told them I had 9.5k to put down and i could finance the rest. Also, I bought the car on the 14th of November. They failed to call me when my licenses are in. I called them. They told me that they would call me as soon as they knew like 5 minutes later it took me 2 hours after the fact to call them and ask if my license plates were in. That alone should tell you that you should go elsewhere to buy a car. If I could give negative stars I would. More

You go and test drive multiple vehicles, and try to make a decision based on a range of factors whether it be preference, comfort, price, brand reliability etc. Once you make the choice to purchase, you own it. There's no going back. This was the case for my wife and I. We had driven and looked at multiple cars at multiple dealerships. We made the decision to purchase from Rods, a vehicle that was to our liking. They had a courteous, no pressure sales environment that was extremely patient and professional with the sales process. After less than 24 hrs of driving it off the lot, the check engine light came on as well as two other lights. This disabled the AWD and the cruise control. You can imagine the the knot this put in our stomachs when we realized it probably wasn't a simple fix. I feel Rods had no knowledge of this problem and did NOT intentionally sell us a faulty vehicle. I immediately called the dealership and without hesitation they apologetically asked us to bring it in. This began an extensive process of elimination to try and diagnose a problem in the fuel evap system. It took several try's, much patience, research, and persistence and they were able to fix the problem. Like I said earlier. It's an unpredictable business. Your hope is that when you run into a problem like we did, that you are treated well and not just excused because the sale is over. I give this dealership 5 stars based on our experience with them. At no point did we feel like we weren't a priority, nor a nuisance. This is because they are a well managed dealership made up of people who are in the business of prioritizing you. The customer. They are not just trying to make a buck off you. People matter to them. They look at the big picture and realize that the buying experience people have with them goes well beyond the day of the sale and plays a factor on where they buy their next car. Puyallup is a town filled with options when it comes to buying a car and that makes it a very aggressive business. There are many reputable dealerships here and this is most certainly one of them. We were served with a professional attitude of diligence, follow through, and integrity. The measure of character stands out when the situation is grim, not ideal and difficult to navigate, not when everything is going great. Our salesman was Preston was our primary contact for the repair process. I would like to thank these two men and Rods Auto Sales publicly for taking care of us. Good luck with your car buying experience. More
Sold me a lemon I bought a Chevy Malibu 2003 and was told by the seller that there wasn't anything wrong with it except what you see. The next day the car broke down I bought a Chevy Malibu 2003 and was told by the seller that there wasn't anything wrong with it except what you see. The next day the car broke down and the only thing the dealer would do was offer a ride home for my mother. I'm out $1600 for repairs. Anyone that reads this please stay away from this dealer they are under handed and do anything to make the sale. But once you buy the car buyer beware. More
the big lots should take classes from these guys. I was told no by no less than 10 of the big dealers that advertise 100% approval! And then either don't call back or call back to day sorry. The gu I was told no by no less than 10 of the big dealers that advertise 100% approval! And then either don't call back or call back to day sorry. The guys at Rods didn't spend any time bragging but was very open about the challenges and what they were going to do and what we could expect and then they did just what they said and what the huge dealers like car pros, money mart, larsons, and Northwest motorsports could not do. A VERY NICE well taken care of BMW for less than 10%. My trade got paid off and my payments went down. I even got a warranty. I will send any friends and relatives that need a car to these guys. More
