This is the complaint I wrote into the dealership: On Friday, August 4, 2023, while we were minding our own business while waiting two hours in the VW lobby in Leesburg for an oil change, the woman serv Friday, August 4, 2023, while we were minding our own business while waiting two hours in the VW lobby in Leesburg for an oil change, the woman service manager (Kristie Weeks) came running up to me, pointing her finger in my face screaming at me “Come with me right now”! Her and the general sales manager (Deen Bohler) both accused me and my husband of having COVID! She said someone in the waiting room told them we have Covid. They both would not let us leave Deen’s office while they both interrogated us over and over again about having Covid. As soon we we told Deen that we did not have Covid, he should have released us, but he refused and went on grilling us we could admit to him that we had it and we would put us in a room by ourselves while we waited for an oil change. Again, we told him that we did not have Covid. But again he would not release us and told us to just admit that we had it and he could get us masks. They both wanted to sequester us in a private room!!! After the third time of stating that we do not have Covid, he released us from his office only to sit in a private area by the VW gifts with our faces facing a wall. It was so super unbelievable how we were treated and we need to bring this serious natter to your attention immediately. We had to tell them over and over again that we do not have Covid. We wanted to know the names of the people who falsely accused us, but they both refused to tell us who accused us of having Covid. This entire situation was totally mishandled by these two “managers”. The Leesburg police should have been called and the accusers should have been arrested, but Kristie and Deen would not tell us their names and the accusers were let go! This entire situation should have ever happened and it was NOT handled properly at all by these two low-level managers. The accusers should have been arrested, and charged like yelling “fire” in a movie theater. VW needs to give us a formal apology for falsely accusing us of having Covid. It is against HIPPA laws to ask anyone for their medical information without their prior written permission. Both Deen and Kristie were wrong and need further training! And Kristie screamed at me to FOLLOW HER NOW! She should have asked me nicely (as a customer of Leesburg VW) by saying “Mrs. Miceli, if you don’t mind, we would like to ask you a question”. But she screamed at me and pointed her finger in my face in the lobby - I’m sure it is on camera. And as soon as we told Deen we did not have Covid, he should have released us and he should have allowed us to sit back in the lobby. And we were told when we went in for our scheduled oil change and tire rotation that it would take two hours for an oil change. Kristie told us the compressor keeps breaking down. Well, if that’s true, then she should do the job she is paid to do and either get the compressor repaired or replaced!! Or replace her! My husband and I were just long-standing customers of VW Leesburg for years and bought two vehicles. We gave one to our daughter, so we were actually going to look at another new vehicle for me while we waited, but after the way we were treated on Friday, we will never ever again step foot in that store!! We recommended friends and family. too, but ever again. This situation was handled so poorly by your staff. We are two seniors - age 67 and 70 - and we were treated like common criminals. No one should be treated in the way in which were were treated by Kristie and Deen on Friday. I don’t think you would like your mom or dad -or grandparents - treated like we were treated. I would like an apology from you as the General Manager and I would like a copywriter of my email places into their personnel files - so that their bosses can clearly see how poorly they treated VW’s outstanding customers. This is a formal written complaint on Deen Bohler and Kristie Weeks. More
The service was very fine, and much appreciated. Michelle helped me attentively on the phone when I called, and set things up so that I could be taken in when I got there that day. It was a short notice issue of some urgency, and I appreciate that they were able to arrange to get me in quickly. Appreciation to the mechanics for making the job happen, despite the crowded schedule. And appreciation to Jeff, who was my service consultant. He was friendly and helpful and kept me updated. EXCELLENT service all around. The reason I am giving 3 stars and not 5 is because, along with the excellent service the job was disturbingly, frighteningly EXPENSIVE. It illustrates why people say to avoid the dealer, even if the service is excellent and the work is well done. These charges are EXTREME. Of course people deserve to be paid fairly for their work. But I have been driving for many years and have had numerous repairs and replacements done. This bill is simply crazy. Above I said that I would recommend this service center. Absolutely for the service; absolutely not for the extreme cost. There was no middle answer above, and I want to be sure to recognize the service people who were so helpful. More
