go elsewere unless you're a masochist Saw online ad for a jeep I was interested in. Called, made appointment, showed up and it was as if I fell from the sky. Anyway, told them what I wante Saw online ad for a jeep I was interested in. Called, made appointment, showed up and it was as if I fell from the sky. Anyway, told them what I wanted and they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. Sales manager said he would check other dealers and call me. Next day he did, we have your jeep he proclaimed. I asked for info and he sent me a link. The link had the jeep I had asked for. It also included the VIN. I checked the VIN online and discovered the jeep was on a lot in MA. I called them. They told me they remembered Lee's request and the y referred me to their ad for the jeep. I noted the price. $28K. I went back to Lee and we started negotiations. The kid was a greenhorn sales guy so it turned out he got blindsided as I was about to be. The dealer offer came back with the base price of $34K. I instantly said xxx. The sale manager announced from his desk. (He couldn't be bothered to actually get up and address me directly) He said "What's the issue?" I explained what I had seen from the MA dealer and he said, "Yeah. Just try to get them to honor that price." So not only was the dealership trying to jack up the sticker by six grand, but they were knocking another Jeep dealer as a bunch of crooks. I was disgusted and upset, but I simply told the poor kid salesman, "I'm sorry I won't be your first sale." To the manager, I announced, "And I will never buy a vehicle here or bring the Jeep I do purchase anywhere near this dealership. My advice: go elsewhere. These people are not to be trusted, in my opinion. More
