Thank you for the offer, but too little, too late. When I asked if they (both the technician and the service advisor were there) could do a diagnosis, I was met with the suggestion to replace the bulb (the only "aftermarket" part involved) with a Toyota bulb for around $600. Then and only then would they check to see if the ballast resistor was bad (and then replace that for $900). No actual diagnosis was involved, just troubleshooting by process of elimination. They were convinced that, because the bulb did not have a Toyota brand on it, that was the problem, nothing else. So with that the only option, I left. I talked to a local mechanic who agreed to diagnose the issue for a small fee and it turned out to be the ballast resistor, not the "aftermarket" bulb. That was replaced and the headlight works fine now. With the decline in customer service I have seen over the past few years at Larry Miller Toyota, I will not be taking my Prius back there ever again. I also will not purchase my next car from you since I no longer have faith in this dealership.
