My wife and I visited Lakewood Fordland 0n 7/6/13 to look at a 2013 Escape. We were met at the front door by a sales associate names Justin Armstrong. He was friendly and energetic. That will be the end of the positive things stated in this review. We explained that we wanted to take one for a test drive. After taking some of our information, Justin disappeared for about 15 mins to grab the keys. Once we returned, we went out to the lot and he discovered that the keys grabbed were not for any of the cars on the lot. 15 mins later we finally got the keys for the vehicle we were going to test drive. Not a very good use of time. We were test driving a 2013 SEL model with s 2.0L engine. When we asked the difference between the SEL and Titanium package, his answer was "Well, umm, just alot of different things, mostly technology". We asked for an example and all he was able to offer was that more voice commands were available. Very descriptive. When we asked about pricing (with available rebates) and the availability of colors, he involved his sales manager Shawn. 15-20 mins later Justin came back with the pricing on a 1.6L SEL, not the 2.0L we were looking for He went back to Shawn again and this time was a little quicker to get the pricing, but priced a Titanium, not an SEL. The sales department seemed to be very confused about what we were asking for. We asked for the MSRP plus the available rebates. Shawn did not price using the rebates, just the MSRP. At this point I was upset at myself for wasting my own time. When I asked again, what is available on the Titanium package that is not on the SEL, Justin replied "Um, well, lets see here... I think there might be a moon roof". This is when we left feeling that we 1) Wasted our time 2) Had no more information that we came in the door with Others likely will have a different experience, but this one was bad enough to cross them off my list forever for a new car purchase. My curious nature has been known to bring even the most patient of men to their knees. Sal not only spent the greater part of a day working out a deal, teaching me about the complexities of the Fusion Hyb patient of men to their knees. Sal not only spent the greater part of a day working out a deal, teaching me about the complexities of the Fusion Hybrid I bought, he made it a point to get to know me and anticipated a lot of the many many questions I had. He has continued with the same level of commitment and diligence in customer service after the sale. Sal is a stellar personable ambassador for a dealership that's a cut above the rest. (sorry about the 600 question quiz on sale day, Sal...you did pass...got an "A+"). More

My husband and I bought a new ford escape on January 1 2013. We really love the new car but I have to say our experience with your facility was exceptional. I have already advised several people to go to Lakewood Ford if they need to buy a new car. Sal was awesome. He made sure our questions were answered. My husband had concerns about the 4 wheel drive and how it worked. Sal made sure he understood exactly how it worked. He also made sure our new car was washed and detailed before we left the lot. I was also impressed that he made sure our phone was setup with sync. I cannot remember all the names of the people we shook hands with. Another excellent sales experience at Lakewood Fordland!!! My husband and I purchased a 2013 F150 and worked with Sal. I came in with a friend Shirley Bloomer) who had bought a new Fusion from Salvador Hernandez Jr. a few months ago. The car had a turbo engine and was too much for her. She felt like the car was a jinx. Shirl new Fusion from Salvador Hernandez Jr. a few months ago. The car had a turbo engine and was too much for her. She felt like the car was a jinx. Shirley had just lost her mother and was somewhat forgetful and Salvador was SO patient and SO calm and SO nice to her. I was impressed with his demanor during the entire process. He never made Shirley feel bad for getting a car that she did not like. Salvador found a used Mercury(I think) that was a beautiful car more suited to her. Salvador made us feel like he was really concerned with Shirley feeling comfortable and safe in her new car. Salvador is a great asset to Fordland and has great customer service skills. He deserves a raise! More

Salvador Hernandez was great- customer service was great!...Once the car FINALLY got here (put order in around 12/23- they said it would take a month to month and a half- I didn't get the car until MA great!...Once the car FINALLY got here (put order in around 12/23- they said it would take a month to month and a half- I didn't get the car until MARCH 15th! I was angry at first and was about to cancel- then we asked to be compensated and wouldve walked if we didn't get what was promised. In the end I got my car- and it was well worth the wait- I love my new Fusion! More

Sal was the best salesman that I have ever worked with in purchasing a car, he worked extremely hard to get me the best deal for my trade and accommodated my requests in getting me in the perfect new car that fit me. Sal was always very quick in getting back to me in emails, text, or phone calls. If he didn't have an answer for me he found one. His genuine and kind demeanor resonated during the entire experience, it was like working with a friend, rather than a shark looking for his next prey as I have experienced with other dealers.
