Bought a great truck from bad dealership I went in to look at a truck I had talked to a sales man about and when I got there the truck had be sold. It was sold before the last time I talked I went in to look at a truck I had talked to a sales man about and when I got there the truck had be sold. It was sold before the last time I talked to the salesman asking if it was still available before I drove 2 hours from work. When I got there the salesman I had been talking with was not available. So the guy that helped me showed me a few similar trucks. I liked one but it was way more than I wanted to spend. He talked me into talking to the manager (Sean) about my trade in and payments. Sean made everything sound good. I had to leave but came back a few days later for the more expensive truck. Sean was not around and the salesman didn't remember anything we had talked about not even the truck. But he acted like he knew everything. Part of my deal was I would get my tires and wheels from my old truck and my exhaust system too. Well after the 2 weeks it took to get my paper work done and I was already driving the new truck. They told me my payment was going to be 875 a month for 72 months and I was ok with that but after it was finall my payment was 995 a month. But my old truck was already sold. I never heard from them to go get the stuff switched for weeks and I tried to get ahold of anybody that I could including the new car manager, used car manager and the GM but never got a call back. Not until they needed it done for my old truck. All the stuff was in the contract. They ended up only changing the tires and they didn't give me my exhaust back at all. And it took them 4.5 hours to switch the tires. I lost half the weights installed and had to get them rebalanced at a tire shop. When I asked why I didn't get my stuff that was in my contract they said the wheel sensors were different and they didn't understand what I meant when I said I wanted my exhaust back. The salesman also told me there was a spare key and there wasn't. They ended up giving me one but it was worse then pulling teeth. The truck has also never been detailed. About a month after having the truck I got a check engine light so I took it to Brighton Ford because it is way closer to me and they said it was due to an update the has been out for over a year. Meaning they never even looked at the truck. Then about 3 months after I get a certified letter from them saying if I didn't bring the truck in within 7 days that my warranty could be void. The letter even said it's because the truck was never inspected. The truck is great but I have never had such a horrible experience with a dealership. More
First time buyer Hello to all persons looking to buy a new vehicle. My name is Ernestine and I just bought my first SUV from this dealership the other day. I have gone Hello to all persons looking to buy a new vehicle. My name is Ernestine and I just bought my first SUV from this dealership the other day. I have gone to several different places and all of them had me feeling a little scared and pressured to buy a car or SUV that I did not want. I went to Rockies Auto and the lady that was helping me there (Julia) was taken away from me in the middle of a showing to help another customer test drive the very same Truck she was going to show me and that alone made me not want to do business with Rockies. That was the point I looked up Larry H. Miller FORD in Lakewood. When I walked in it felt like a very kind and comfortable setting then when I meet my sales rep John Critchfield, he made us feel like we were more then just another customer and we were in control of the visit and he was very attentive to my needs. He put no presser on me to buy something I can not afford and helped me find something that fit my family. At the end I was able to "Ring the Bell". I even got a lifetime supply of car washes. They have a excellent team of people and the willingness to help blew me away! More
Watch out for the Extended Warranty When I originally purchased my car, last March, my experience was FABULOUS! My salesman, Mike Cross, was so accommodating. It took us almost a month When I originally purchased my car, last March, my experience was FABULOUS! My salesman, Mike Cross, was so accommodating. It took us almost a month to find the truck we were looking for. You know how when you are buying cars, the finance guy just keeps passing you papers to sign. You scan them, but don't really READ them - my bad! You trust the guy. I mean, you are spending $75k on a truck, right? I purchased the extended warranty at the cost of $2980. I just found out that it isn't even through Ford. What I can't figure out is when you are at a FORD dealer and they offer you an extended warranty, you just assume it is through FORD. It turns out, it's through some 3rd party. It is only good at Lakewood Ford. Which means, if I break down somewhere I have to call this stupid number (on the back of one of the many papers they give you when you leave) and they decide if they will cover it or not. Ford will not pay to fix the truck. I am so mad and feel that I was scammed. In reality the coverage through Ford, which is good anywhere in the country, is more comprehensive and cheaper. I just feel bad because I have referred this dealership to so many friends because of my great salesman. I am just sorry the Finance Manager, Roger Condon was so deceptive. When dealing with them, don't assume that they are looking at YOUR best interest. More
Horrible dealership We negotiated to buy a used truck our ranch needed for a week. We live five hours away from the dealership. We had arranged with salesman Josh to pick up our truck on the Monday after Thanksgiving. He pressured us to come up the Friday after Thanksgiving to get a better end-of-the-month deal. We got up early Friday and loaded up our children ages two and three and made the five hour drive. As we entered Denver, we received a call from Josh with regrets that our truck sold about an hour ago. Talk about frustrating! I feel it was unprofessional considering we had worked on this deal for a week, and had to rearrange schedules just to make it to Denver on Friday. If you want great service, etc. please do not waste your time with this dealership! More
Terrible Experience!! I originally decided to visit Lakewood Fordland because of the great rating on there sales department. What a terrible mistake! First visit there, my I originally decided to visit Lakewood Fordland because of the great rating on there sales department. What a terrible mistake! First visit there, my wife and I test drove a car and really liked it. As soon as we pulled back onto the lot the used sales manager took the key from me and said "sorry we just sold it". Okay, I assume that this is not the first time in history that this has happened to someone. The salesman told me that he would keep his eyes open for me and call me if anything came in. The next week I found online that there was another model of the vehicle I was looking for on there lot, but I never got a call from the salesman. Called the dealership on a Friday afternoon to verify that the vehicle was still available to which one of the managers said yes it was and that they would contact me if anything changed so I didn't have to make the hour long commute for nothing. Left my house Saturday morning at 9 and again called to make sure that it was still available and no one was filling out papers for it yet. Ten minutes away I am called by a random salesman, that I have never spoken with, saying that they just sold the car "however they have another one that I would be more interested in". When we arrived at the lot the original sales man was waiting to show me the "comparable" option. Same model, same year, same price, different color and about 60k mies more than the other. The car had not even been touched by the dealership before turning it over to me to test drive. The inside was filled with trash and dog hair an inch thick all around. It had a smashed up front windshield and a chewed up seatbelt from the dog. After driving it back to the dealership I was hesitant about signing for a car that has not even been checked over mechanically by a technician. I was told that another buyer was on there way to look a the car later on that day. We lightly discussed price on it but I couldn't justify buying a car that no one had any clue of its reliability. Disappointed and half a day lost for nothing, again maybe I'm not the only one that has had this misfortune in the country. The following thursday I am contacted by Gill the sales manager and he told me that the car was cleaned up, windshield replaced, seatbelt replaced and it went through the shop. Everything checked out fine and he was wondering if I was still interested in purchasing it? I told him yes, they already appraised my car and drove it twice so they had my information. I told him the terms to which I would want in order to drive back up and buy the car. He said "I don't see any problem with that, we can make that work. I will call you tomorrow and set everything else up with you." Great news for me finally… Wrong! No call from them on Friday like Gill had promised. Saturday morning I contacted the dealership to speak with Gill and was told that he left for vacation friday morning and told no one of what we spoke of. I was than talking to the original salesman and he told me that he would get it all squared away and get back to me later. 5pm still nothing from the salesman, reach out to the dealership again and the salesman is busy with a customer but I am told that he will call me back as soon as possible. Never heard another word from him or anyone at the dealership. Absolute WORST experience I have ever had dealing with any business transaction and hope this message will prevent anyone from having to deal with this horrible customer service . More
FABULOUS! I have always dreaded the process of buying car. Hours and hours wasted and never feeling like anyone is being straight with you. BUT, I LOVE THESE G I have always dreaded the process of buying car. Hours and hours wasted and never feeling like anyone is being straight with you. BUT, I LOVE THESE GUYS! Each and every person I encountered through the VERY quick process was upfront, laid back, super friendly, professional, and all around people you'd actually want to hang out with, and buy from! I was in and out with a great deal in under 2 hours. They put forth great offers up front, worked wonders with my financing, the boss man was involved in every step so as to make you feel important. Jim never tried to get me in a different truck, I truly believe what he said "We want to make the right car for you work". I will always buy here, they run a great business with top notch customer service! I even discovered a few things wrong with the truck when I got home and they fixed them immediately with no problem! Ford Store in ND vs Paul Pfeiffer I live in Denver and work in ND in the oil industry. I bought an FX4 in 13 and a year later decided I wanted to go bigger, along the lines of a F250 I live in Denver and work in ND in the oil industry. I bought an FX4 in 13 and a year later decided I wanted to go bigger, along the lines of a F250 or F350. I put 5k down when I purchased the FX4 and figured I was going to owe more than it was worth but not to the extreme the ND dealers were offering me (7k under trade in value) so I put my time frame out a bit further. playing online I found the perfect truck in Denver and submitted an online a quote request, figuring I was going to get my chain yanked some more I didn't put much thought into it. Sometime had passed and Paul Pfeiffer called me and this is where it got interesting, he didn't ask much about the truck I inquired about at first instead he was asking me questions about the situation, my goal, my trade etc.... I told Paul to stop just give me a quote on the truck and I was taken back my his reply "why if the deal doesn't make sense" this was a eye opener, a professional in the car industry who would of thought??? Wrapping up Paul cares about your satisfaction, not just selling you a car and he got me a better value for my trade and made up the difference with rate and a small discount on top of rebates, he knows his s***. I've since sent of my 6 employees to Paul and they all received the same attention to detail. I loved his straight shooting no xx approach, unlike every car salesman I've ever dealt with I didn't feel like they were selling me but rather Paul was helping me buy the truck I wanted . PS - I put Paul through xxxx with all the extras I wanted done to the truck but he delivered, there was one oversight and Paul took responsibility and got it squared away. More
Paul Pfeifer - 10+ Experience After contacting several Ford dealerships to looking to buy a new SUV I found that no one I spoke with you would just give me a price on the vehicle I After contacting several Ford dealerships to looking to buy a new SUV I found that no one I spoke with you would just give me a price on the vehicle I wanted, they all wanted to set an appointment and make me come into the dealership. Venting my frustration to a co-worker, she recommended I call Paul and at Lakewood Fordland, after discussing the vehicle and my options he sent me a price quote within 5 minutes, we did all the paperwork over the phone and just like he said, when I arrived at the dealership and the vehicle was detailed, paperwork was printed and I was driving my new Escape within the hour. Paul's knowledge of the Escape was excellent and with so much new technology to take in at one time, Paul met me 2 weeks later on his day off at Starbucks and covered everything again and answered all my questions. I still bug him now with questions, in addition he's has built a very helpful YouTube channel for training and regularly sends out emails on "training and tips". Dealerships could learn something by his approach and follow up. More
Very Pleasant Experience! I worked with Paul via email for a few days before actually stepping in to the dealership. We had been talking about one vehicle and when I saw it, I I worked with Paul via email for a few days before actually stepping in to the dealership. We had been talking about one vehicle and when I saw it, I changed my mind and Paul was very patient in helping find the exact one I wanted including searching their inventory and bringing my choice over from a storage lot. It is not often I can say I actually enjoyed the "negotiation" part of buying a car. Paul took the time to walk me through exactly what was going on with pricing, discounts, rebates, my trade and we analyzed several available options for structuring the deal in terms of rebates and financing options. In the end, I felt Paul helped me make the best decision and I left with a truck that was equipped exactly how I wanted. Mike and Darcy were also very pleasant to deal with. I definitely recommend talking to Paul when you're thinking about changing vehicles! More
Don't buy a FORD or any other brand before talking to Pa I can't say enough about the attention to detail I was upside down on my previous vehicle and came to Fordland for help. Paul got me out of my bad sit I can't say enough about the attention to detail I was upside down on my previous vehicle and came to Fordland for help. Paul got me out of my bad situation and into a great one (and a F-150) I had instant equity in the truck due to Paul's work to keep the price within budget for me! Months later I was in a jam trying to qualify for my home loan and needed Paul's help again for my wife's car. I had looked at every re-fi option out there but nothing. Paul got us out of this pickle as well and into a Fusion for the same payment!! Endless to say we have two beautiful vehicles and and new home all because of Paul Pfiefer and the get crew at FordLand! Thanks guys! More
