During warranty repair, tried to sell me unneeded brake pads Recently had a vehicle serviced for warranty repairs and a faulty air valve. During the inspection, I was quoted over $700 for brake pads telling me I only had 1-2 mm of pad left. I declined and decided to change the brake pads myself. Once I took the wheel off, with new brake pads in hand, I realized half the brake pad was still there. I believe they lied to me on how much brake pad was remaining and tried to pressure me into buying brake pad replacements that were not necessary. Staff was otherwise professional and the warranty/air-valve work was done competently. But I don't know how I can trust a dealership that tries to pull these things over on people. IF this was a mix-up and my vehicle was accidentally confused with another - then I can't trust them to fix my car properly or not change something out that was destined for someone else's car. IF this was not a mix-up than someone in the repair or service department tried to defraud me and I'm not sure I can trust that it is an isolated personnel issue as it may be a culture issue with this dealership. Problem Solved After visiting with the dealership and was told that my car problem was not covered under warranty, I argued my belief that the problem should be. Aft After visiting with the dealership and was told that my car problem was not covered under warranty, I argued my belief that the problem should be. After reviewing the Powertrain warranty the throttle body is not under warranty and I still believe that it should be. However the Service Manager reached out to me to take care of this problem. It goes a long way to show great customer service to help take care of a customer that was ready to walk away from this Dealership and manufacturer all together. Thanks for taking care of my issue. When we had a difficult care repair with them, and some communication issues, the Service Manager went out of his way to try and resolve our issues. We were concerned that our repair was overly expensive, took too long, and we felt we were not treated with understanding or concern or had good communication with our service representative. The Service Manager personally talked with us to resolve our issues and we were satisfied with the results. More

My Service at Landers McLarty Dodge My last service visit at Landers McClarty Dodge was amazing. My service team advisor, Mr. Edward Anderson made sure that I was good to go when it came My last service visit at Landers McClarty Dodge was amazing. My service team advisor, Mr. Edward Anderson made sure that I was good to go when it came to my oil change and multi-point inspection. If I could grade him on a scale for customer service I will grade him an A ++++. I feel most comfortable bringing my Dodge Challenger to this service advisor anytime. I look forward to my next visit and I also will recommend him to any of my fellow Lander Mclarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep Customers. More
Service Department? My van was in the service repair shop in 2016, April 27 until May 18, a total of 22 days for transmission repair/replacement. When I picked it up and My van was in the service repair shop in 2016, April 27 until May 18, a total of 22 days for transmission repair/replacement. When I picked it up and began driving it, I noticed there was no difference in the process of changing gears. I drove it until this year and decided to have it rechecked before the 12 month warranty ends in may, 2017. I dropped it off February 6 and picked it up on February 21, for a total of 15 days. I received a call 2 days after drop off with the info that nothing could be found wrong but they were doing more tests to be sure. I received another call several days later that the tech needed to drive it home to see if he could detect anything. Fifteen days later I received a call that my van was ready to be picked up---nothing was wrong with it. This was after I've had to have a rental for 15 days. I would think they would have told me during the first 5 days they couldn't find anything wrong and I could pick it up and be given the option to let them check it out one more time before the warranty expires in May. This would have saved me 15 days of rental, which totaled $560...they gave me a $210 credit which left me owing $350. This has been a total nightmare from the day I dropped it off until the day I picked it up. The rental process is whole story by itself.....even from the phone call to set up a drop off time. I sent this review to Frank Williams, Operating Manager/General Manager with the thought that he might contact me, but have not heard anything. I have seen several complaints similar to mine, with no one receiving results. I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received, both times, and also very unhappy about the cost of the rental when I feel like my van was driven, parked, driven, parked and no one could determine what was wrong. Also, the mileage in and out is wrong....they have it recorded as 88,063 but my actual mileage when I received it back was 87,911. They told me they drove it more than 200 miles....does it seem like something is wrong with this info? By the way....my van is still giving me the same problem as it was before they "installed a new transmission" in 2016. The 12 month warranty on this transmission expires in May, 2017. I really think I've hit a dead end with this problem....I won't recommend this dealership to anyone and will tell everyone who is looking for a new vehicle that it will probably be ok as long as they never have to use the service department. More
Awful service-they actually kept my truck when balance paid I could not have had a worse experience. They kept my truck for a week for a warrantied service issue and then when I came to pick it up I kept the p I could not have had a worse experience. They kept my truck for a week for a warrantied service issue and then when I came to pick it up I kept the paperwork of which they had a copy and they would not give me back my truck unless I gave them the originals. I had to wait until the following Monday to pick up my truck. This was after they recommended services that another local Dodge Ram dealership said didn't need to be performed. And, when I finally got my truck back the suspension was messed up and it had to go back into another shop to be fixed. I only take my truck there because I purchased oil changes when I bought the truck so I had to, but I later learned that they sold me 6 additional oil changes (in addition to the 4 that I already had) that I did not need since I only leased the truck for 38 months or 45,600 miles and the suggested oil change intervals are only 10,000 miles on my EcoDiesel. Each time I am in there they try to sell me services that I dont need. Do not trust this dealership at all or any Landers McLarty Dealership. I spoke to one of their former service managers and he informed me that management pushes them to sell these services to hit their numbers or they will be fired which is what happened to my service guy I think. More
