The oil change was fairly pr This review encompasses two service experiences. The first time I came in for a scheduled oil change and warranty repair. The oil change was fairly prompt, but it took one day to get the parts for the warranted/recalled exhaust repair - then another 3 days to get those parts installed. I came back in today strictly for 4 recall repairs (2 electronic and 2 requiring labor). I scheduled an appointment one week in advance for all services to be performed, so it was known what I was coming in for. I arrived 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time (9:00 am) and checked my truck in with the service department so that they would be able to get right to work at the scheduled time. Estimating 2 hours worth of work that needed to be done, I waited until lunch to inquire the status of the repair to find out that it had not been started yet. I go to lunch and return to the dealership 2 hours later and find out it will be another 1.5 hrs, at least, until it should be ready. The service was completed at 4:00 pm, which turned my trip into a day long endeavor. I understand that the service center is short staffed for technicians trained in working on EcoDiesels, and I hope that this is something that the dealership is working on - especially considering population of the surrounding area and the ever growing number of EcoDiesels on the road now. It should be pointed out that, from my understanding, when a customer makes an appointment for service, the appointment is strictly for consultation and vehicle check-in. This does not mean/guarantee that work will begin on your vehicle at that time, and you may need to make other arrangements if you were planning on expedited service based on your appointment time. I suggest that a better process be implemented when scheduling (a week or more in advance) known services into a time frame that technicians will be available to complete those services in an efficient, yet effective manner, so that customers who choose to wait on their vehicles are only waiting the estimated duration of the work to be completed - not falling into line to have the services completed. That's why it's called an appointment and not a meeting. DeJuan Lamar was polite and as helpful as he could be, though he is not actually the one performing any of the service on the vehicle. Derek Smith was very professional throughout the entire process and has gone above and beyond to provide a resolution to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding my experience and express gratitude on behalf of the dealership for my business, so that I am now satisfied with my visit to Landers McLarty DCJR. More

Above and Beyond! My son's Chrysler 300 broke down in Huntsville on his way to Nashville. After a bit of research I discovered there was a NHTSA action report number f My son's Chrysler 300 broke down in Huntsville on his way to Nashville. After a bit of research I discovered there was a NHTSA action report number for a defective float that caused the car to stall after fill up. Chrysler had given a lifetime warranty on the fuel tank, due to this defect. The car was towed to Landers McLarty for repair and replacement of the fuel tank. Derek, the service manager, and Dejuan, my service rep. went above and beyond to move my son's car to the top of the list of back ordered fuel tanks, since his car was off road. The communication was great and there were no surprises. It was repaired at no cost, due to the action number, and they helped me arrange a company to deliver the car to my son in Montgomery once finished. It was delivered just in time for him to start his senior year of college. I would highly recommend them to anyone and if I lived in Huntsville, Landers McLarty would definitely be my choice of service providers. More

I called and spoke with Wrenne Gillespie and she was very professional and always kept me abreast of what was going on with my repair, returning my calls whenever I left her messages and just basically providing me the info I needed to make it easy for me to get my car dropped off and picked up when it was completed. I would also like to note that the service department was open between the hours of 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. to make it easy for me to handle everything without having to take extra time off from work. I believe this dealership truly understands the meaning of good customer service as exemplified by this experience. More

Cringing at the thought of having to take your car to the dealership for service is no longer an issue for me thanks to the great folks at Landers McL Cringing at the thought of having to take your car to the dealership for service is no longer an issue for me thanks to the great folks at Landers McLarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. I have a Jeep Wrangler and a Ram 1500 and I will only take them to Landers McLarty. Here's why: 1. Friendly Service Personnel - Derek Smith has been nothing short of fantastic! He reminds me when services are due, educated me on the various service plans that Landers McLarty offers, and ALWAYS gives me the best possible pricing for service up front so there is no sticker shock when I come to pick up the car. Derek also calls me on his day off when he knows I have a vehicle in maintenance and doesn't pass me off to other service reps who are working that day. Finally, Derek was able to work with me on several issues where he was able to cover under warranty or good faith saving me hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the course of time that I have lived in Huntsville. For this alone, I will not take my car to any other dealer for service. 2. Pricing – I’ve shopped around and Landers McLarty has the best pricing when it comes to Oil Change Service Plans and on factory AND aftermarket parts and accessories. I can’t find a cheaper synthetic oil change plan at any of the quick change shops or buying the oil and doing it myself in Huntsville. When I shopped the internet and surrounding cities (Nashville) for tires for the Ram and the Jeep, I found that Landers BEAT everyone’s price for install, road hazard, and warranty. These were even on name brand (Kevlar) oversized (37”) mud terrain tires. 3. Service – The main reason why I take my vehicle in to Landers McLarty is that they do great work and it is backed by their team of professionals and the Dodge, Jeep brand. Things get done right the first time. On two occasions I’ve come in for a check engine light and both times they were able to scan it and put me back on the road after assessing with no charge at all. I tell all my Jeep and Dodge friends about Landers. I even tell folks who don’t own Jeeps or Dodge’s to go see them for oil changes or tires. They have truly earned a customer for life. More

CM NOT AS GOOD AS INTERNET PORTRAYED I Purchased my RAM 1500 in 2011 from Landers McLarty. Hear is what I have been unhappy about. The first issue was when I purchased the truck I stipulated that I was buying the truck to pull a trailer of about 8,000 pounds. The salesman recommended the 1500 Crew Cab with the Hemi. While the engine has more than enough power, when I first pulled a U-haul car trailer and 58 Thunderbird both weighing about 6090 pounds. I was not happy, I definitely should have gone with the 2500. The next issue was that I purchased a spray in bedliner, and Landers Mclartly never scheduled to have my truck completed. At which time the amount I paid for the liner was $100.00 more than the cost of the Liner of LM never returned the overage. I recently stopped in looking for a new 4 door Wrangler Rubicon, with a standard Transmission listed on the Internet Website but it wasn't there. I gave them my information of which they already had since I purchased my truck there to call me when they had a jeep come in that matched the items that I wanted, but they never called me back. So recently I received a phone call stating that my truck had a recall on the Rear axle Pinion nut. The notifications told me to call a DODGE/RAM corporate number to schedule an appointment and validate the parts would be available. I called the number and they past me to the Customer Service of LM which the service person validated the part was available and asked me what time I wanted to bring the truck in for service. I told them 23 December 2014 at 0700. Knowing this was a normal drop of time anyway I believed my vehicle would be completed without issues. I was the first vehicle their and was assured I would be taken care of. By noon I had not heard anything and called the Service Department, I was told they could not find the part and my truck would not be completed until the end of the day. I picked up my truck and at 16:00 and expressed that I was unhappy as I had made an appointment and was assured the item was available, I asked if there was a survey or something that I could fill out, but was told I may receive something in e-mail. Fast forward to 26 December 2014, I received a call on my answering machine that goes into a loop to press a button or enter a response if I was happy or dissatisfied with my Service. What a Crock. More
