After they repaired that they test drove it and discovered what Chevy says is a transmission shudder due to the transmission fluid not being able to deal with the southern humidity. They did multiple flushes of the transmission and refilled it with a new type of fluid. Much better performance results and covered by my warranty. They even provided me with a loaner vehicle as my Camaro needed to stay with them overnight. *Outstanding* service as usual. More

The car was presented by the Sales guy as being the best deal around with loads of extras and practically new with only 102,000 miles on it. My wife noticed a roughness in the ride and the Sales guy quickly said it was only from a flat place on the tire from sitting a while. It turned out to be a bad rear wheel bearing assembly that cost us $600.00 several months later. The Sales guy showed us another Cadillac that had "just arrived" and still needed to be cleaned up, and was such a great deal he claimed he would buy it if we didn't decide to. Eventually, he offered to sell us both cars saying the Manager would make us a great deal on two. We discussed it back and forth while he spoke with the Manager who was upstairs. He would come down and negotiate prices and insisted the dealership wanted to sell these two together. My wife was a bit suspicious and finally asked him if she could speak to the Manager upstairs. After speaking with him for a bit, she came back down with a totally different story. The Manager said he would sell them separate or however we wanted, which contradicted the Sales guy's story. The whole experience was a long, drawn out ordeal that lasted from the afternoon into almost closing. One lady had been there all day and still hadn't completed her purchase. The finance guy was dry and impersonal (maybe tired?). During our signing of the papers I asked him why they hadn't tried to sell us extended warranty like every other dealership has when we've bought a used vehicle. He simply said these vehicles are so expensive to work on that it isn't worth it. Needless to say I left with half a smile on my face driving home with dim headlights that had evidently never been changed. The whole experience reminded me why I hate to buy a car! You may be thinking, "well, did you contact them to allow them to make it right?" No, regretfully I didn't and the main reason is that my trust was already at a low and the wheel bearing didn't get bad enough to replace until several months later and there was no warranty to begin with. The air filter looked as though it had never been changed. After an alignment the steering wheel still vibrated some and the expert alignment person we use and trust said the cars tires needs road force balanced. I just considered it a lesson learned. My wife is adamant that we should get rid of it because of the high cost of repair and parts in general. I hate to say it, but she's been right all along in this particular purchase. Sincerely, Larry Heatherly More
