Service department is the very definition of BAD SERVICE. Service writers are apathetic and unprofessional and the mechanics are simply incompetent. They don't give loaners, they don't return phone calls, and Service writers are apathetic and unprofessional and the mechanics are simply incompetent. They don't give loaners, they don't return phone calls, and they don't fix cars. Visit 1: Took my new Rubicon here for a couple issues. First, it would spray gasoline on your leg when filling up. Second was a problem with the ABS and traction control. Gauges would light and brakes lock up. Very dangerous. So I pull into the service bay. No greeting, no direction. Service writers make eye contact with me, then continue browsing their computers and eating lunch. I am forced to wander the shop looking for assistance. A few days later, they say they fixed the gasoline leak, but 'could not replicate' the other issue. I took the Jeep to fill up and had my leg covered in gasoline again. They didn't do a thing. Visit 2: Dropped off again and described the same issues. A few days later I get a call that the fuel line must be ordered. Since they don't give loners, I am forced to pick up my Jeep and continue driving it. Visit 3: After waiting OVER A MONTH with no call from Landers, I finally call them. Parts department says the part is in, but service doesn't answer their phone. I drop off the Jeep again, this time with a video of the problem they failed to replicate. Now they say they can't get to it because they are backed up. After explaining that I have been waiting over a month, they grudgingly take my keys. A few days later, they call to say it's ready. I pick it up, wipe the grease off the steering wheel (thanks!) and drive out of the parking lot. Before I can pass Rave Theater, the gauges start lighting up again. I immediately turn around and drop it off again. Visit 4: Another couple of days and I get a call saying it's definitely fixed. I pick it up, this time finding a couple of screws on my floor-mat from whatever they took apart. Hopefully they weren't important. I almost make it home before it starts malfunctioning again. Same issue. I turn around and take it back. Visit 5: A couple more days go by with no call from service. I try to call and check on it, but after getting transferred 6 times, I give up. I visit the shop and speak to a mechanic who said his next step was to replace the alternator?! Because somehow the alternator affects my brakes, ABS, or ESP. At this point I realize the mechanics have no idea what they're doing and are just throwing parts at it. So I decide to retrieve my still broken Jeep and figure something else out. Nearly two months after attempting to get my Jeep fixed at Landers, it is STILL BROKEN and DANGEROUS. Gasoline still sprays out of the fill tube. Yesterday the ABS locked up both front wheels even though my foot was not on the brakes, and caused me to lose control and spin through an intersection nearly causing an accident. Their service department isn't just bad, it's nonfunctional. All I wanted was a minimum of courtesy and professionalism. And my Jeep fixed. Unfortunately, I received neither from Steve Landers. More

I took it in because the alternator went out. They fixed it and before I made it home my belt broke. I had to pay to have it towed back to the dealership and they put another belt on it. I thought it was nice that they offered to bring my car back to my house until I got back and there was absolutely no gas in the tank even though I dropped it off with over a quarter of a tank left and I live less than 10 miles from the dealership. Since my car was returned to me I've been hearing a rattling noise when I'm driving. It's coming from the passenger side and it sounds like something is dragging the ground only I could see anything when I look under there. So I'm gonna have to take it back yet again next time I have a day off to have it repaired. More

We had some bad experience with the service department, however Chris Chase stepped up to the plate and provided superior customer service. Chris went over and above to make sure we were happy customers. however Chris Chase stepped up to the plate and provided superior customer service. Chris went over and above to make sure we were happy customers. Charley Osborn was an excellent sales rep to deal with, she was extremely friendly and willing to do whatever necessary to provide outstanding customer service. I really appreciate them both going over and beyond to show us that their are people in the business world that still care about others. More

Our jeep was in a few weeks ago and I was very disappointed with the service as things that should have been were not due to communication break downs in several areas. We brought the jeep back ju disappointed with the service as things that should have been were not due to communication break downs in several areas. We brought the jeep back just this week and I was very much pleased with everything, most especially Paul Cook, our service person. The service received this week is the service I was promised and expect. Very happy and very pleased in all areas. Hope to be able to deal with Paul should we ever need to come back again. I visited this dealership at the end of last month to have my car serviced. Knowing nothing about cars, I simply told them the problem. They came back with a price, which I accepted as a necessary means have my car serviced. Knowing nothing about cars, I simply told them the problem. They came back with a price, which I accepted as a necessary means to fixing my car. My mistake was in trusting that the price given would be for a service actually needed; their mistake was in the representation that the service was necessary, at all. I attempted to contact the dealership through their online comment system, to which I received no reply. I then contacted the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas, and I received a VERY courteous reply from a person with whom I wish I had been able to speak from the beginning. The reply detailed the events of the morning at the dealership much as I relayed them--really no material difference between my story and theirs. However, what the reply failed to address was the material issue--WHY the repair was warranted/necessary in the first place. I approved a repair which was represented to me to be necessary to fix the issue with my car. I later discovered that the repair was unnecessary. The BBB administratively closed the case after a finding of a "reasonable" (if minimal) attempt to resolve the dispute on the behalf of the company. I would encourage people who feel that they've been mistreated by this (or any) business to make their (truthful) stories known in various online sources to notify other consumers, and contact consumer protection groups. At the very least, filing a complaint will help establish/reveal a pattern of unfair or misleading practices. I can't publish links here, but a quick search of AR consumer protection groups should yield a handful, including state commissions. This was an unfortunate event for me and, in the days and weeks to come, I will take steps to prevent it from happening to anyone else. UPDATE: I submitted this review, which is held in limbo for two weeks to give the company a chance to respond. They (evidently) had, and when I clicked the email link to read it, I got redirected. I sent a message approximately a week ago simply stating that I had searched for, but could not locate, their reply. They did not respond. More
I purchased a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country from this dealership just a few months ago. The sales staff drove a hard bargin, but overall I saved $1000 over what the competition was offering. The one ph dealership just a few months ago. The sales staff drove a hard bargin, but overall I saved $1000 over what the competition was offering. The one phrase that stuck in my head was, "we want to earn your business". Overall the purchasing experience was quite positive. Fast forwarding to last week, I took the van for an oil change and car wash at a local business. The technician came in and showed me the air filter that had oil all over it (oil blow by). From my research, this could be a minor problem (bad PCV valve) or major problem (broke oil ring in one or more pistons). With only 4000 miles on the van I'm not worried since it's covered under warrenty. Here's where it gets ugly. I travel ALOT for my job. In fact, I was gone for the last month, home for three days (at which point I got the oil changed) and am now gone for another month on the other side of the country. I told my wife (who is a stay at home mother of four childer, hince the minivan) to contact the service department to make an appointment and get a loaner vehicle while hers is fixed. Guess what the service writer told her??? "We don't do loaner vehicles, it's probably a bad PCV valve and we can fix it in a few hours". Now if I were there, I would have loaded up my children and let them run wild through the dealership while the "few hours" passed. Luckily, my wife if much nicer. She has already contacted the compition who were more than happy to do the repairs and offer her a loaner vehicle. Perhaps Steve Landers Dodge didn't really want to "earn my business" after all. Hopefully this review will not fall on deaf ears and things can me made right. More
