The folks at Wilde Land Rover, in particular Robert Martin took the time to place me in the correct type of vehicle, that meets my needs. We test drove two different cars and Robert displayed a great amount of knowledge and patience with us. His knowledge of the product he was selling was excellent, and he took the time to explain the technology and answer all questions that we had The car came with a full tank of gas, not something i received on my last car a BMW. Potential purchase of a used Range Rover Here is my story: I test drove a RR twice over a period of a few weeks and finally decided that this might be the car. The dealer made me an offer, wh Here is my story: I test drove a RR twice over a period of a few weeks and finally decided that this might be the car. The dealer made me an offer, which included my trade in, and I stated that I would think about it and make a counter the following day. This next step was discussed and agreed to by the salesman and used car sales manager. I e mailed a counter offer the next morning and waited to hear back. Since I had not heard back by late in the day I texted them to find out if my counter was at least reviewed. I heard back from them at approximately 6:15 while I was in a restaurant having dinner asking if I could talk. I told them I would speak to them the following morning. I texted them at 9am asking if they, again, had reviewed my offer. Here is where it goes off the rails. The salesman calls and tells me the RR was sold to someone else. My issue here is that we were in the middle of negotiations, someone else comes in wanting to purchase the car, with the dealership knowing full well that another deal was being negotiated with me. Not even a courtesy call to let me know the status nor an opportunity to negotiate further. The explanation was” well we tried to negotiate with you the first day and it didn’t work” . Again, they acknowledged and agreed that they would wait for my counter off. Oh well, there are other cars out there and I learned a lesson here to never deal with this dealership again. They wonder why car some dealerships have poor reputations. Bryan, the salesman seemed to be an upfront guy and I enjoyed dealing with him. It’s another story when Zac, the used car manager got involved. Poor communication and lousy follow up on negotiations. That’s my story. Zero stars for you! More
