Am hopeful this review will get the owner/manager's attention and help me resolve an issue I am dealing with involving Land Rover Paramus and CarFax. Here's what happened: My vehicle was brought to attention and help me resolve an issue I am dealing with involving Land Rover Paramus and CarFax. Here's what happened: My vehicle was brought to Land Rover Paramus on 5/16/2022. As part of this visit, I had asked for an estimate to fix some minor scratches, which estimate was provided, but I turned down the repairs since they did not make sense from a cost to benefit standpoint. I picked up my vehicle on 5/19/2022, which means the vehicle was in Land Rover Paramus's possession from 9:08 AM on 5/16 until I picked up the car on 5/19. I have not requested any other estimate other than the one I received from Land Rover Paramus. On 5/16/2022, when the vehicle was in possession of Land Rover Paramus, a damage report was made to CarFax. My first thought was that maybe something happened to my car while it was in service that no one told me about. I was able to escalate this issue with CarFax and upon investigation, CarFax asked me to pull all my records from the 5/16/2022 service visit to Land Rover Paramus and submit it to them, which I did. CarFax, has now requested a simple letter from Land Rover Paramus to resolve the CarFax issue, stating that I was only provided an estimate and that no repairs were performed with respect to such estimate (which is 100% what happened). With this, they should be able to remove the damage report from my CarFax (which has a meaningful impact on my vehicle's value - which I found out when I was about to trade in my car to Land Rover Englewood (a sister dealership of Land Rover Paramus)). I was told by my service advisor that management at Land Rover Paramus informed him that no such letter can be provided. I reached out to the Service Manager (through the general service email) at Land Rover Paramus, but have not heard back. Am utterly disappointed and almost feel cheated, as if the record was posted to my CarFax to bring down my trade in value. More
The Service mgr Stacy Margiotta. lies to you. The Foreman Jorge Field works in cahoots with the front desk and generates work for the mechanics in the back by creating false service lies to you. The Foreman Jorge Field works in cahoots with the front desk and generates work for the mechanics in the back by creating false service recommendations for the service manager in the front to upsell you! It's the service manager's job to bring in the big service revenue. It's a setup from the start once your guarantee is up. That's their business model. These people take gross advantage of their white-collar professionals without any working knowledge of automobiles and will tell you anything to make a repair. Each time they make a recommendation, I brought it to a friend of mine who is an auto engineer for a second opinion and so far, every time it was a setup. Here are a few examples... 1) Just had a new radiator installed after a deer hit me. I brought in the vehicle for an oil change. They said my aux radiator was leaking and I needed a new one. I brought it back to the auto body shop who took it all apart again and said it was a dried drip of anti-freeze fluid on the reservoir cover. Nothing leaked on my driveway ever. $1322 2) They indicated that my differential fluid was leaking. $1530 I went under the lift with the head of the service because I couldn't believe this. There was fresh clean clear oil apparently just sprayed over the area and they said, "see." How do I know? I asked for a paper towel, wiped it up, and noted, that it was supposed to be thick, dark yellow to black. ( I was born at night, but not last night!) 3) A while ago, I heard clicking when I turned the wheel from a stop position and began accelerating turning into an intersection. Brought it in and they told me I needed new lower control arms. Later, I found out, that this happens when the dial selector for the terrain setting is not depressed. Once depressed, no clicking..$1800 The list goes on. The state attorney general should look into this.. . More
