In June of 2023, we bought a used Range Rover Sport from LRC and initially we were happy with the purchase. A few weeks after our purchase, we experienced smoke coming from under the front right off the veh LRC and initially we were happy with the purchase. A few weeks after our purchase, we experienced smoke coming from under the front right off the vehicle. We took it in for service and LR told us it was a loose exhaust pipe and they had the " parts" to fix it. What they didn't tell us is that the part was bolt and this charged us $800 for the repair. Not covered by the warranty. Remember this, it will come back up. Gross. We were able to drive the vehicle for a couple more months, and we're relatively happy with it until 10/25/2023 when this vehicle with 51,000 miles on it suffered COMPLETE CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. I Am Not kidding. I had the car towed to my local, TRUSTED mechanic and they told me what I heard the most, that there was something that was preventing the event from turning over.I called LR to see if they could help. This is one of two helpful thing they did. They confirmed the failure and that the engine would need to be replaced. I asked Land Rover what they could do to help, and their answer was not good. First, it took me 3 phone calls, all without response, and finally a visit from me just to get someone to speak with me. I think I caught them off guard, but that was my intent since they WOULD NOT return my calls. I was finally able to get them to give me a quite on replacing the engine, and that would be over $32,000! No, they would not cover any of those costs! I was also able to get the full maintenance records from the dealer and well, there were some enlightening things in there. At this point, I had a mechanic to source and replace the engine, at a less than half the cost quoted by the dealer. In the meantime, the dealer had told me that all regular services has been done on schedule and at the dealership. Fast forward to the engine breakdown. This is where we really uncover the shadiness and lies. My mechanic discovered that the EGR valves were completely blocked and caked with carbon. He also discovered that the turbo assembly was not properly connected to the exhaust (remember the first issue they charged me $800 for?) And that there was a bolt missing from the exhaust pipe (again, first issue) and tons of blowback on the engine. In the maintenance records, I found out that Land Rover had PREVIOUS FIXED THE TURBO AND EXHAUST! Basically they attempted to fix and did not, faked fixing it again and charged me for the work! The first 5 or 6 oil changes were done at regular intervals of 5000-6000 miles. However , the last interval was over 17000 miles. That is absolutely ridiculous and LRC should have changed the oil before they sold that vehicle. Again GROSS NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE. I called Leith corporate headquarters promptly received a call from the GM (David). At first he seemed genuinely apologetic and offered to cover some of the repair costs, and if we wanted to work a deal on another vehicle when this one was repaired, just come to him and he would work with us. But true to the stereotype of a sleazy sales weasel, when I tried to call him, he never returned my calls (3x). Again I was forced to drive to the dealership to get any acknowledgement at all. I asked him to explain to me what a "Deal" meant and he refused to help unless I had a vehicle in mind. He did not want to put any effort into assisting us. I was utterly disgusted. We finally, after 5 months got our car back and had been driving it. A 2017 engine with 10k less miles than the one that failed. Was running great, even drive it to Florida. I changed the oil twice and seemed to be running well, until last Thursday, February 6, 2025, When on our way home from a show, this piece of Garbage failed again! At 50,000ish miles. Right on schedule as it seems. I want to vomit and again I have no confidence in repairing this vehicle DO NOT BUY A LAND ROVER VEHICLE OF ANY KIND DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM LAND ROVER CARY DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM LEITH AUTOMOTIVE GROUP EVER More
Had a very unpleasant dealing with this dealership trying to buy a new Defender. The price and terms kept changing and they kept manipulating what vehicle they wanted you to buy by upselling more than you co to buy a new Defender. The price and terms kept changing and they kept manipulating what vehicle they wanted you to buy by upselling more than you could afford. David Coyle the sales manager was very unprofessional and I wasn’t given the type of customer service you would expect from a high end dealer. Fortunately I got what I wanted elsewhere, but the negative reviews are definitely true. More
I had the pleasure of working with Ray Turner, he was nothing short of fantastic! I was a few hours away from the dealership and he made the entire buying process hands down one of the best experiences nothing short of fantastic! I was a few hours away from the dealership and he made the entire buying process hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had. A special shout out to Jonathan in finance and the title clerk, I received my plates and tags within a month, that's exceptional for an out of state sale! Many thanks to the entire Land Rover Cary team, I truly appreciate the great service I received! More

I told them I would be fair in the review. The good: -Thomas( Sales) was good to work with. -I had a tight timeline and they had a full tank of gas in the truck. Now the Bad: -Truck The good: -Thomas( Sales) was good to work with. -I had a tight timeline and they had a full tank of gas in the truck. Now the Bad: -Truck was not clean when went to pick up/purchase. Yep, just pulled it up, sticky stuff all inside the front seat and dash and dirty outside. -There was a trailer hitch cover locked onto the truck and no key. -The truck had a aftermarket stereo system and they had no idea. I had to show it to them. Volume knob hanging down my the accelerator pedal. (safety issue) -No second key. But they sure made a point of if I got their "Platinum coverage" it would cover a spare key. -The deal turned a bit "greasy" where I paid $1000 over what had been agreed on. That might not have bothered me so much if they had taken better responsibility for the other stuff. In the end they covered the cost of me getting a new key made and to cut the lock off. Also threw in a couple dollars. (Not enough to make a difference) Would I buy from them again? Yes, but I would make sure I had plenty of time and I would hold their feet much closer to the fire. Typical car dealer and highly disappointing for a Range Rover dealership. Non-responsive post-purchase and my salesman, Curtis, is also typical for a salesman saying whatever needs to be said to sell a veh Rover dealership. Non-responsive post-purchase and my salesman, Curtis, is also typical for a salesman saying whatever needs to be said to sell a vehicle while he can’t even be bothered to find accurate answers for questions. Finding many of the "facts" he shared are in fact not true. This dealership is the worst I’ve ever encountered with the least competent sales, service and support staff ever. My 2023 Range Rover has had major service needs twice (vehicle filling with smoke inside and electronics going completely out) since my purchase in December and every time it has been a hassle, getting help which takes an extreme amount of effort. I understand that the dealership made their money but I will definitely never purchase from here again unless they make major changes. And I am definitely making sure everyone knows the horrible service you receive once the deal is done. Find another dealership!!! More
Our experience was phenomenal! Nobody in their right mind wants to pay what vehicles cost today, but it is what it is! We started dealing with Henry M with internet sales and he Nobody in their right mind wants to pay what vehicles cost today, but it is what it is! We started dealing with Henry M with internet sales and he was on point and timely and the info he gave was accurate. I asked a couple of questions that he couldn't answer and instead of BSing his way, he said he wasn't sure but would find out....I respect the honesty!! We then dealt with Ray Turner. Ray was probably the best car dealer rep we've ever dealt with! He was patient, clear, concise and very helpful!! Neither Henry nor Ray was the normal "pushy" "get em in, get em out". There was none of the normal car dealer horror stories. The NCSECU dropped the ball and we had to go pick up a small check -- Ray was so cool and never once checked his watch on the Friday before Memorial Day, like we were holding him up (which I think we were). Sat down with Mohammed, the finance manager -- not 1 second of high pressure! I appreciate the professionalism and courtesy on all of their parts!! We travelled 3 hours to get there and they did everything they possibly could to help us get out ahead of traffic! We would absolutely buy from Ray/Land Rover of Cary again!! We know whereof we speak - we had another Raleigh Dealership sell a Jeep out from under us! SMH Thanks Ray! More
