I wish I could leave a 0 star review but I can’t. I bought me 2016 ram 1500 hemi certified pre owned from Lancaster dodge ram fiat in 2020 50k miles. The purchase experience for my truck was great but my problems started after that initial experience. When it came time to do oil changes, transmission flush, or general maintenance the dealership was always 3 weeks out which is very inconvenient when you are a busy person running a business. When I hit 80k miles in early 2023 I wanted to take my truck in for a transmission flush after having issues with hard shifts, but they were 4 plus weeks out so I took it to AAMCO because I could not wait that long. I took it there and AAMCO wrote a report about the transmission telling me that you need to take this to the dealer and have to have it looked at. So re-booked an appointment with the dealer for 4 plus weeks out. When I took it in the check engine light was not on and when I stated my concerns. they took the truck got a call a couple of days later and they told me the could not replicate the issue and they told me that they couldn’t process a work order without a check engine light or without being able to replicate the issue and the truck was fine. Two month later I was on a road trip and my trucks trans overheated and I was forced to pull over check engine light came on. I do mechanic work on the side so I ran the code (6th gear out of ratio) truck would not shift past it either so I limped my truck to my destination. I limped the truck home as well and made a appointment almost immediately. Took it to Lancaster Dodge ram fiat right away because the truck wasn’t usable truck sat at the dealer for a month they told me check engine light was off couldn’t replicate the issue and that the alternator was bad, (even though I had paper proof that my transmission was bad) had them fix the alternator and drove it home. Went out later the same day, and the truck would not start. I towed the truck back to the dealer. They told me the transmission control module was bad. I reminded them about my previous concern about the transmission, and that I had a written statement from AAMCO, and had seen the code myself (they would not listen to me at all) after they had my truck for a couple more weeks, they called me and told me it wasn’t covered under warranty. I Was shopping for cars later the next week, stopped in at the dealer looking at a SRT Durango talked to the sales rep. Sales rep started talking to him about my truck told me my truck was a 7 year 100k warranty, I immediately went back to talk to the maintenance manager. He told me my truck did not have a 7 year 100K warranty and that it was a 5 year 100K warranty. I called the warranty myself after talking to the Warranty company found out my truck did have the 7 year 100k warranty. Explained the problem to the warranty Company, and they extended my warranty. Warranty company started a work order for the truck and contacted Lancaster dodge ram fiat. They did eventually replaced the Transmission control module. I had the truck for 3 weeks and I went to haul my 4 wheeler (500lbs well within a 1500 hemi hauling capacity) and the check engine light came on once again. I ran the code (4th gear out of ratio). Called the dealer immediately the next morning and brought it in to get the code ran. They diagnosed it told me it needs a new transmission. Dealer Wouldn’t be able to get to it for a couple weeks. dropped the truck of a week early for the next appointment and it sat there. Called in 3 weeks later and they told me they were unable to look at the truck, i asked the to update me periodically. They had my trucks for almost 6 months stringing me along with no updates or answers. I called both dealer in New Holland and asked them if they could help us get answers for Lancaster dodge ram fiat they pulled the info and basically told us Lancaster Dodge Ram Fiat cannot do any more work on my truck until the warranty company paid them for the TCM.
