While on vacation and visiting family we thought about looking at Escapes in Vermont to compare what we wre looking at back in Massachusetts and were surprised to find two Ford stores one just like the Bi looking at Escapes in Vermont to compare what we wre looking at back in Massachusetts and were surprised to find two Ford stores one just like the Big City Mega Stores like back home and the other was just the opposite. Small,friendly, personal and definitely unpretentious. Both Ed the Sales Manager and Mike the salesman were great. Ed worked very hard to get me top dollar for my high mileage trade and was able to offer me considerably more than the other dealer in Burlington. Mike went out of his way to make sure I understood the Sync hands free phone system. I can't thank those two enough. Made it painless and fun. Will definitely recommend Lamoille Valley to all my friends. Special Thank You to Steve in the finance office, got me a great rate and made that whole mumbo-jumbo make sense and easy to understand. This dealer was horrible! I have never been treated this poorly in my life. I didnt haggle them on my trade in, I didnt argue the price they gave me. It was my first buying experience and they held a few poorly in my life. I didnt haggle them on my trade in, I didnt argue the price they gave me. It was my first buying experience and they held a few points on my APR when I found out i had 760 beacon score I was told i should have gotten a 2.9% or lower rate. They told me I was approved at a 6.9%!!! They sold me a warranty that they also charged me almost 2x as much as other dealers would have. I am upset that I told them it was my first time ever buying a vehicle on my own. They completely took advantage of me. I would highly recommend buying at a different dealer. These guys will play every trick in the book and are the reason Car Salesman have the reputation they do. Very unprofessional. I am now upside down in a car that I traded into. I owe so much more than it is worth. I know "not knowing" is partially my fault. But I really had no one to turn to or trust and the reason I bought this car is that my dad passed away and left me some money (not a lot). They knew this and STILL took advantage. I should be happy when I buy a new car, but instead I feel like crying. More
