High repair cost estimate My wife took our Beetle for a repair estimate. To replace 2 lock actuators we were quoted $947. She paid $99 for the estimate. We called 4 other My wife took our Beetle for a repair estimate. To replace 2 lock actuators we were quoted $947. She paid $99 for the estimate. We called 4 other dealerships. All quoted lower costs for the same repair. I decided to take my car to the dealer who quoted a price $250 less. Additionally, they emailed a “Black Friday” coupon that increased the savings to almost $400. I notified the service department. No effort was made to match the price or assure my satisfaction as a customer. I am disappointed by the dealership. We are considering another vehicle purchase. We probably will no longer consider Lakeland Volkswagen because of this occurrence. More
Quick and easy Went it for the 20K mike service and a couple of recalls on my Tiguan. Once again, the best. I want to mention two occurrences over the last two weeks. My GTI sustained considerable front end damage after a spare tire and rim flew into my fron I want to mention two occurrences over the last two weeks. My GTI sustained considerable front end damage after a spare tire and rim flew into my front bumper, damaged it, and the stuff below it. The next day, the service department managed to cram me into a busy day to have a look at it. Dan inspected the under body and found that there was no damage, which was a relief as I had to travel 1000 miles over the next week with it. This was even done with no charge because it only took a few minutes, and I actually offered to pay. I will tell you that I am a good customer, but when you have patience with people, they return it to you. Now, cut to yesterday, 11/20/18. The GTI goes to the auto body shop and I have to rent a car. I decided a Nissan Maxima might have some of the refinement of the GTI. Wrong. Piece of crap...MT should let ME review it. Anyhow, I texted Jonathan, my service writer most of the time and asked if he could help me with the rental place with getting another car because he deals with them frequently. He was actually on vacation and still took the time out to help me get a different, and better car. I really love this dealership and the people in it. Oh, and Trey Chapman took me for a ride in a new Jetta about 3 weeks ago just because I asked. These guys have made it impossible for me to own and other make of car. Cheers! More
