Follow up to previous review After 3 months the brakes seized up, so now a brake job is needed. I have now spent more money on this vehicle in 3 months than I have on my 2 Toyotas After 3 months the brakes seized up, so now a brake job is needed. I have now spent more money on this vehicle in 3 months than I have on my 2 Toyotas in over 10 years combined ownership. Now I can see why they didn't show me the carfax. They said they were having problems with the site but assured me that the carfax was clean. Now I have serious doubts. More

It quickly stood out like They covered a rust spot with touch up paint at the top of the windshield of the Ford F150 I bought so it wasn't noticeable. It quickly stood out like a sore thumb after a couple of weeks. But their very limited warranty doesn't cover that. A rust spot in this location will be extremely expensive to fix if it rusts through. The windshield had to be removed and I had to spend over $500 to fix it so that I wouldn't have problems later. I never would have bought the truck if I had known about it, or at least would have had them fix it or cut the price by $1000. The trailer light hookup doesn't work either so another couple hundred bucks to fix that. You would think they made sure that was working before they sold it. So suddenly I have close to $1000 in repairs to a truck I have have only a month and a half. More

Buyer beware! Worst car buying experience in 30 years. At a minimum the salesmen was disengenuous with his statements. Buyer beware.....vehicle quit running day 1. Worst car buying experience in 30 years. At a minimum the salesmen was disengenuous with his statements. Buyer beware.....vehicle quit running day 1. Of course Todd offered to sell me another $3k insurance policy to cover their defective car. What a racket. Problems were known by dealership before they sold it More

A week later I found out the intake was leaking and had many other problems and when I bought the car up to them with the inspection sheet they told me that they can't find anything wrong with it when there was a paper in front of there face saying wat is was and they refused to fix it. Never will buy anything from them not even a tire and dont ever let their machanic do work to ur car cause clearly he dont know anything More
I bought a TT from Lakeland car company. Kurt was the salesman and seemed nice at first. My first problem with the car was a broken timing belt. They were very fair when fixing this problem but when I pi salesman and seemed nice at first. My first problem with the car was a broken timing belt. They were very fair when fixing this problem but when I picked my car up it did not run very well. At first they said it was a vacume leak. They called me up and said it was ready. Still did not run well. Then a coil pack was replaced. Both time no charge. The car still did not run well. The last time they hit me with a bill for over $500. I was never given an estimate. This is against the law. They can not surprise you that way. I argued with Todd and he said take the parts out and bring them back for a refund. Again, that was fair. Here is where it got crazy. I broght the parts back and Kurt did not want to give me a full refund. In fact it got so bad that he called me names that can not be mentioned here. He also told me to get out of his dealership and never come back again. Fat chance of that! I did get my refund though. I had the law on my side. Todd and Rod seem to be very nice. Kurt is not. Never buy a car from them if you want a good experience. More
In July of 2012 I purchased a 2004 Chevy Avalanche from Lakeland Car Co. Here is the story. I actually went to the dealership to look at a Chevy Tahoe that they had. I showed up right at the end of the day Lakeland Car Co. Here is the story. I actually went to the dealership to look at a Chevy Tahoe that they had. I showed up right at the end of the day and they were going to be closing in about 30 minutes. I met with Kurt and checked out the Tahoe. As I was looking at it I happened to see the Avalanche. Kurt had just bought it at the auction. He hadn't even put it online yet. I checked it out and I loved it. I told him to sell the Tahoe to someone else because I was more interested in the Avalanche. He ended up holding onto the Avalanche for about a week while he attempted to find the best price for my car that I was trading in. Ultimately, I ended up selling my car to a private party on Craigslist the very same morning that I bought the Avalanche. I got a great deal on it and I was very happy with the price. Later I found 3 small issues with it. 1) the headlight was loose (broken bracket) 2) the oil pressure gauge stopped working and 3) there was a CD jambed in the CD player. Kurt resolved all three issues at no cost to me. Kurt worked hard at making this deal happen I can't thank him enough. My only constructive criticism to offer is that they could work on their communication a little better. Other than that they did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend them! More
My family bought a car from this dealer a few years ago My family bought a car from this dealer a few years ago and at that time the purchase was very great, which is why we decided to purchase another car My family bought a car from this dealer a few years ago and at that time the purchase was very great, which is why we decided to purchase another car there. This 2nd. car though which, I thought at the moment was a good buy, resulted in costing me close to another 1,000 dollars to fix, for it to run properly. Because, it had some car malfunctions. When I was buying it the salesman said that the car was in perfect condition and that I wouldn't have any PROBLEMS with it. Although he emphazied that the car was indeed in good condition, he very strongly suggested I put car insurance on it to cover any parts that could malfunction in the FUTURE. He was so strongly set on me putting car insurance that he even gave me 1 week to think about it,and to call back if I changed my mind. Because I didn't have the $$ at the time and since the car was said to be in good condition I opted for not putting any insurance on it. It wasn't till week 2 of having the car when I started to notice that something wasn't right, the temperature in the car was not being regulated since the gauge would get really hot and stay there. I called and since the car had a warranty for 30 days they told me to bring it to the dealer. Not only did I have to make accomodations for transportation for 2 days while it was in there shop. But I still had to pay for there labor costs. I thought okay I'll pay this the car should run fine after this right? Not, after about another 2 weeks I had the same problem and the a/c didn't work this time, I once again took it to the dealer and they had it there for almost a week, saying that they had to find the source of the problem. When they called me to pick it up I went once again. The car still had problems after another 2 weeks and this time I couldn't take it to the dealer since the warranty expired. I took it to a local mechanic where I get my oil done and they told me that there was something wrong with the head gaskets and other stuff that would cost me close to 1,000 to fix. If I didn't fix it, the car could still run but, it was only a matter of time before it broke down and it would be more expensive to "bring it back from the dead." I am very disapointed and will not buy here ever again because I simple can't trust someone who sold me a car that had problems and knew about, since they insisted on me putting insurance on it in the first place, so that I'd had to bring it there and get it fixed. Then decided to have me go there twice for the same problem, then lie to me saying that the car was fixed when it wasn't. Now don't get me wrong I'm sure that this can happen but, if your buying a car and they insist on making you getting insurance on it BEWARE there could be something wrong with it. If you don't you could have to scrape a few extra $100's out of ur pocket. More
I just recently bought a car from Kurt and I am very happy with it. They did a very good job getting the car ready for me. I choose not to listen to bad reviews (unless there is a bunch of them) because happy with it. They did a very good job getting the car ready for me. I choose not to listen to bad reviews (unless there is a bunch of them) because usually when someone has a bad experience they are more inclined to give a review and if someone has a had a good experience they don't think about reviewing. My family and I will most definitely buy cars from Lakeland in the future when we are looking for another. More
My car was the fourth one we had bought from them. It's also the first car my father has not gone in personally to pay for. The problems I had noticed within the first month were that the speakers were pop also the first car my father has not gone in personally to pay for. The problems I had noticed within the first month were that the speakers were popping loudly, the alignment went out, and the locking and unlocking mechanics did not work correctly. Kurt indirectly called me a liar on multiple problems I pointed out with the car, stating I must have been off a station which was causing the popping then later stating he did not hear it to which my answer to that is when my cousin drove it to get it fixed she stated "It nearly scared the xxxx outa me.I thought I was being shot at." He refused to fix the alignment because it had gone out after I bought it, and I have recently learned it went out because the ball joint is bad. He first told me the car locks were designed the way they were working, and when I politely asked again he yelled at me,"You can take it down to a dealership, and pay seventy bucks for them to tell you the same thing." He was also very disrespectful and rude to my mother. After asking him multiple and reasonable questions about my car including the fact that he wanted me to pay another thirty five dollars after signing my contract because he did not keep his papers up to date, he literally yelled at my mother and me. Which each problem I noticed Kurt gave me hassle about why there was nothing wrong and it must be something I am making up. He was continually giving me no nonsense reasons, treating me like I knew nothing, and plain out disrespecting my family. On their page it saw "Customer Satisfaction is Job One!! I call B.S. Don't work with Kurt. More
