We have a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon with just over 6,000 miles, bought new in July 2021. After several months we noticed rust forming on the rear bumper. Took it in for its first oil change on Dec 29, 202 miles, bought new in July 2021. After several months we noticed rust forming on the rear bumper. Took it in for its first oil change on Dec 29, 2021 (RO #547610 and 549662) to Lake Norman Jeep and told the service writer about the rust. He took pictures of it. When picking up the car another service rep had no idea of the rust issue and took pictures himself. He said he would have an answer before the New Year. That call never came and we contacted the dealership right after the new year. They could not locate the photos taken by 2 employees. One was out with ill. After several days I finally get a call from management. He said a Chrysler rep would be coming to the dealership to review the "pictures". The rep declined to cover the repair saying it was caused by "outside influence" meaning US! Contacted Jeep to start a case. They also declined because of the reps use of the words "outside influence". Yesterday, I contacted Hannah who works there (she is a great communicator by the way). I figured if Jeep and the dealership won't cover a 7 month old car rusting then I would ask for the parts to be handed to me and I would take care of it. We are talking about two carriage bolts washers and nuts, what $15.00 tops. Hannah emailed me this morning saying management declined to pay for the $15 in parts. I was floored to say the least. Now don't get me wrong, it is in no way about the money, it's pure principle. I have provided 2 pictures in case the managers have lost them again and to show how bad it looks. I wrote this review today to: 1. get managements or owners attention and maybe get this resolved and 2. to warn potential future or current customers to avoid this place at all efforts. Please keep in mind that I was a second generation new car dealer in New York for 35 years of our 72 year company. We would NEVER let an issue like this go unresolved. Imagine if it were a more serious issue costing more money!! A final note to Jeep Wrangler owners 2020-2021, there is a class action lawsuit formed in December 2021 for rust issues on new Jeeps. I will not be joining that as my issue is merely cosmetic. Shame on the management and or owner of Lake Norman Jeep. If you are in management you should certainly know better. More
I did not have a good experience. I went to get service done on my Dodge that I had bought from here and it was a mess. Nobody was wearing a mask inside and since the staff was not wearing masks during yet done on my Dodge that I had bought from here and it was a mess. Nobody was wearing a mask inside and since the staff was not wearing masks during yet another Covid spike, neither did the customers that I was surrounded by while waiting for my service to be finished. Now this is the only place I get my service done and my last service was less than 4000miles from the last and the last time my tires were rotated. I am telling this since nobody informed me last time that my tires were going to need to be replaced. This visit apparently the tires were bald and I was quoted almost 1200 for tires. Had I been informed at my last service with them and not blind sided by this information I would have done it. I feel like they were unprofessional and the atmosphere is not always friendly when you are a female going alone to get your car taken care of. I will not return for maintance even though I have a maintance plan with this dealership for my car. More
Without a doubt this service department is the worse I have ever experienced. From the service writer to the end product. Service took much longer, cost more, and wasn't complete. They replaced my batt have ever experienced. From the service writer to the end product. Service took much longer, cost more, and wasn't complete. They replaced my battery. A couple weeks later i look under the hood to see they never secured the battery into the battery compartment. All the hardware was still laying there. When i picked up my car as i drove away is see the low tire pressure light and low fuel light both on. Tell me no one noticed. Lack of care. My wheels after the front brakes being replaced were covered and filthy with hand prints and brake dust. Would have taken much effort to wipe clean or have detailed. All my floor mats were thrown into the passenger side of the front seat and left. A lack of quality all around. Will not recommend to anyone. More
Came in for “Express” oil change. I was told it would be one hour ad 45 minutes. This is the longest time I’ve ever been asked to wait at any dealer….ever (fir express service). Back story, new to area an one hour ad 45 minutes. This is the longest time I’ve ever been asked to wait at any dealer….ever (fir express service). Back story, new to area and in the market for a car. I thought I’d browse vehicles while I waited, but service is as important as the sale - and this makes me think LKN will be low on the list of dealers I visit. More
Craig Smith was very rude and unprofessional. He didn’t acknowledge me as a customer that spent close to $1000 in their service dept. He has a very combative demeanor. How can a dealership stay in business with outrageous pricing after the fact for service??? I bought a used 2012 Chrysler 200 S Convertible from a different dealer. I took to LKN Dodge for fluids replace pricing after the fact for service??? I bought a used 2012 Chrysler 200 S Convertible from a different dealer. I took to LKN Dodge for fluids replacement and a diagnosis on my suspension. ALL I got was inaccurate billing for services. I was told $155 from Sal for the diagnosis and got $179.99 per LINE ITEM. I stopped them right away so I would NOT get charged $$$$. I asked the service manager Brandon for explanations and got even different charges. He agreed for the $155+ tax to get my car back. I NEVER felt so in raged about what could have happened if I didn't catch in time. I will never step foot in that dealership ever again. We bought a car/serviced it there for years before this happened More
Do some research on repairs/pricing. Had limited time so wanted to utilize their service. Charging $392 for a $38 part and 10 minute change. wanted to utilize their service. Charging $392 for a $38 part and 10 minute change. More
