Absolutely the Worst Dealership Experience I’ve Ever Had I have never dealt with a dealership as unprofessional and disorganized as this one. I had been texting all week with a rep named Summer about a 2024 Jeep Willys. She quoted me a price of $49,298, and I was upfront that I was just exploring options since my lease on a 2021 Jeep Gladiator was ending. Summer scheduled us to meet with a salesperson named Ken after lunch on Saturday, June 28, 2025, and told us to go to the Dodge dealership. My husband and I drove 45 minutes to get there — only to walk into an empty showroom where no one seemed to know anything. As we were about to leave, a salesman ran in and asked what we needed. After telling him we were there to meet Ken, he called Ken — who then told us to drive over to the Ford dealership instead. First red flag: Why are we chasing down a salesperson to buy a Jeep? We arrive at the Ford dealership, and Ken has absolutely no idea what Jeep we’re talking about. I had to show him screenshots of my texts with Summer and the listing from their own website. Then Ken leaves to go back to the Dodge dealership to bring the Jeep over (you read that right). When we finally go to test drive it — there’s no gas in the vehicle. We could barely drive it around the block. Back at the lot, Ken suggests we test drive another nearly identical Jeep. Guess what? That one also had no gas — not even enough to start it — and on both Jeeps, the automatic door steps didn’t work. Ken tells us the owner of the dealership over-ordered 2024 Jeep Willys models, so they’re trying to move them with "rebates." I repeatedly asked what the actual price was, since Summer quoted me $49,298. Ken dodged the question every time. He insisted we go back over to the Dodge dealership — again — just to get pricing info. I had to log in to the Chrysler site myself just to give him my payoff amount because he couldn’t find it. Then it got worse: Ken brings over a form with four blank boxes and asked me to sign a paper agreeing to buy the Jeep — with no pricing filled in! I refused, of course, and said I wouldn’t sign anything without knowing (1) the price of each Jeep and (2) the value of my trade-in. After nearly an hour, he finally brings over a sheet saying my trade was valued at $33,500 and the Jeep was $75,000. Let me repeat that: the same Jeep I was told was $49,298 is now apparently $75,000 — which makes me think they just tacked my trade-in onto the original price. Total bait-and-switch. Absolutely unacceptable. Good luck selling these overpriced Jeeps. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere — and I suggest others do the same. More

My wife and I drove over an hour away to get to Lake Keowee Dodge to PURCHASE a Ram TRX they had on the lot. I can’t believe the ridiculous experience when we got there, we were left standing outside in Keowee Dodge to PURCHASE a Ram TRX they had on the lot. I can’t believe the ridiculous experience when we got there, we were left standing outside in the cold rain, waiting for someone to even acknowledge us. No one came out, so I had to move the car and walk in, only to find the place completely empty. I had to approach the receptionist just to get someone to help us. Finally, a salesman shows up, and when I tell him I’m interested in the TRX, he goes and grabs the key I drive back out to the truck and, of course, after looking at it we get in and out of the cold rain. Then when I ask for a test drive, which is common place ..I get a long sigh and some Lame excuse about not letting people test drive the TRX in the rain. Seriously? Being in the car business myself for over 10yrs..this was extremely irritating. “he said do you understand.” I promptly responded no I don’t. I guess we will be leaving. He didn’t even ask or try to understand I was a serious buyer. No effort to ask if we were ready to buy, no attempt to check with a manager—nothing. I came ready to PURCHASE and take delivery of this Truck but instead, I just wasted my time. What a joke! I will be buying my TRX just not from these guys. More
My name is Scott, it's taken me almost 2 years to post this review and since I made my mistake by shopping at the lake! The first year just calming down enough to remain professional and the second reach this review and since I made my mistake by shopping at the lake! The first year just calming down enough to remain professional and the second reaching out at least a dozen times to various employees requesting a meeting with the owner to tell my story. I am a business owner with a small fleet of 28 company vehicles and take these reviews very serious. I purchased 2 F350 super duty work trucks totaling $117k. In exactly 8 days one of the trucks begin to smoke heavily. I spent the next week to ten days playing phone tag 2 and 3 times a day with my sales guy. Finally just gave up and took it in to the service department and explained it all to Chris(very helpful) paid over $400 for the part they suggested to fix the issue. It lasted about a week and began to smoke HEAVILY again. I went straight to the dealership and engaged in a conversation with numerous employees to finally get to the gentleman over both the ford and dodge service departments. His initial question was why I waited almost a month to bring the issue to his attention and then proceeded to tell me that " I should have came down there and acted a little more xxxxxxx like the other upset customers" I still did not ask for anything free. I simply ask that he remove all the mark up on pricing and labor. Make the necessary repairs and split it 50/50 with me. Only to be told that "HE WAS DOING ME A FAVOR" for the $7000 quote to replace the turbo system on a vehicle that went through the 21 point inspection process to become a "Certified Inspected Vehicle" 3 1/2 weeks prior. After a few choice words and a somewhat heated exchange. I immediately had the truck towed to the Ed Murdock dealership in Lavonia and paid $5800 to have the turbo fixed. I could double the length of this post with the stories since then emailing , calling and attempting to find someone in that place that would listen too my story> I haven't asked for anything free or special deals or ANYTHING! Since then I have purchased 17 new and used vehicles from dealerships local, in Alabama, Charleston, Greenville and even established a corporate LOC with the Ford motor company and have aa office less than a few miles from that dealership and can not keep my business local. I know of excellence. I have purchased several vehicles from them. I just purchased a new Durango from David B. and he really went above and beyond. I know that they searched almost nationwide for the exact vehicle that I was wanting and drove to another state to pick up the one that I went with. I will always be a Lake Keowee customer and highly recommend David if you are in the market for a new/used vehicle. Thanks David and Paul for all the work that you put into making it happen. This business is absolute dumpster juice. Spent more money in fuel driving my car back and forth on the same issue than it was ever worth...to only never get it fixed. Had to take Jeep Manufa Spent more money in fuel driving my car back and forth on the same issue than it was ever worth...to only never get it fixed. Had to take Jeep Manufacturer to court for breach of warranty. Then Mark Williams told me that he will not service my car ever again...even though I purchased an extended warranty through Lake Keowee Dodge. Never received a refund for that. Dude is making tons of money off of regular people like us just trying to have something good to drive...then he could care less when a problem comes your way. I would have given zero stars if it was an option. More
