I initially inquired about a jeep wrangler that was listed for sale and I spoke to their salesperson Julie. I was open and honest and told her I could pay 1k per month and that I wanted to finance for 60 months with no money out of my pocket. She countered with a higher monthly price and I said I couldn’t do that. I was then asked if I could speak to her manager Justin . Justin got really creative in a way that would Benefit himself and proposed that he could keep my monthly payment at 1k but for 63 months instead of the 60 months. Essentially adding 3 additional payments, an extra 3 thousand for the dealership to indulge on. I told him I would talk things over with my wife, And I decided against his proposal. Two days later Julie reached out to see if I purchased the jeep. She could have walked into the next room and for herself, so I knew it was just a ploy to keep the line of communication open. I explained that I had to stick to my original proposal and it that was Possible, that I would do the deal. Julie responded anything is possible and she Would check and get back to me. Julie got back to me saying they will do the deal I proposed for $997 a month for 60 months, And they were also going to do 3 months delayed payment. I felt a little uneasy thinking it was a switch and bait ploy so I asked for clarification from her that it would be on 60 payments and not 63 payments at the $997 and she confirmed that is correct. I even followed up asking why the dealership would offer 3 months no payment when I wasn’t asking for it. She said something about more interest collected. I’ll get to that later when justin unwittingly spilled the beans that I qualified for a 4 something interest rate, but Daniel the finance guy said I qualified for a 5.264 % rate.. While confirming everything with Julie and agreeing to the terms of the deal, Julie said the next step was the credit application and requested my social security number and insurance information for registration purposes. I provided her with those items only because we had a agreement in place. A short time later I got a alert from my credit Monitoring service about an inquiry. I was advised I would be hearing from their Finance guy later that day which never happened. I texted Julie and she promised by 1030 am the next day, I would have all the paperwork to sign. 1030 came and went and later that afternoon 10/17/25 their finance guy Daniel Mnanalis, Who might be related to the General Manager Andrew Manalis, called to go over the terms He said I was approved for a credit rate of 5.264% For 60 months and the payment was $1043. $43 dollars more than what was agreed to. $43 dollars doesn’t sound like a lot but 60 payments of $43 dollars is $2580 extra money They wanted to steal from me. I told Daniel that this wasn’t the deal I agreed to, And to speak to the salesperson because it was supposed to be for $997 for 60 months. Either they didn’t think I would catch the switch they made to our agreement or they figured I’d be so excited about getting a newer car that I Would let them rework the deal giving themselves thousands extra. Based of Principles that was not happening. Next was a phone call from Justin, I explained what happened and figured it would be a quick fix. Very quickly I realized he wanted that extra money And I asked him if he was going to honor the Agreement. He went back to 63 months And I expressed my disbelief that his dealership would do this. I even explained that during the days we were negotiating, the car price was lowered thousands of dollars and the price, even including some of his dealerships absurd fees they charge to gouge Customers, would still be cheaper by $300 dollars. Stay far away from here. More
