Note: Without my negative payment experience (see below), my ratings would have been all fives across the board!!!! I recently purchased a 2012 Accent GLS from LaFontaine Hyundai. The Internet sales manag my ratings would have been all fives across the board!!!! I recently purchased a 2012 Accent GLS from LaFontaine Hyundai. The Internet sales manager, Brian, gave me a very competitive price for this vehicle. The saleswoman handling the transaction, Robin, was very knowledgeable, proficient and helpful. The car was delivered in excellent condition. I would recommend the sales staff for a new vehicle purchase! If I have any gripes, it is with the finance/support staff. Although I had an established out-the-door price from Brian/Robin, when I went to pay for the vehicle there was an additional, previously undisclosed fee, for online motor vehicle registration. Granted $30-$40 is small potatoes with a $16,500 vehicle purchase, but, to me, out-the-door pricing means just that! Even more galling, when I tried to pay the down payment via credit card, I was told the dealership limited credit transactions to $2,000 (or, in this case, $2,500 with my initial deposit). I intend on contacting my credit card issuer since I believe that as long as my available credit is sufficient, a vendor is prohibited from limiting the amount of the transaction. My initial research supports this as the “MasterCard Rules” handbook states, as follows: 5.11 Prohibited Practices 5.11.3 Minimum/Maximum Transaction Amount Prohibited Rule 5.11.3 of Chapter 5, “Merchants and Sales Transactions” is modified to include the following: A Merchant may set a maximum Transaction amount to accept a Card that provides access to a credit account, under the following conditions: 1. the Merchant: a. is a department, agency or instrumentality of the U.S. Government; or b. is a corporation owned or controlled by the U.S. Government; or c. is a Merchant whose primary business is reflected by one of the following MCCs: i. MCC 8220—Colleges, Universities, Professional Schools, Junior Colleges; or ii. MCC 8244—Schools, Business and Secretarial; or iii. MCC 8249—Schools, Trade and Vocational. More
When I decided to buy a new car I headed to LaFontaine to take a look, I have 0 knowledge about cars, I have no idea what Honda or KIA or Toyota etc, I don't know nothing, and my salesman were Bill Orr, he w take a look, I have 0 knowledge about cars, I have no idea what Honda or KIA or Toyota etc, I don't know nothing, and my salesman were Bill Orr, he was very patient with me, he tolerated me amazingly, he would show me a car and then when I see the next one I would have already forgot how the first one look or what it is and he would take me back again to take another look at it till at the end I decided what car I want, he was amazing, understandable, professional, friendly and down to earth person. Thank you Bill Orr, I would comeback there when my husband decide to have his 1st new car and also when my 3 years old is ready to have her 1st car also, I didn't even mention how friendly everybody was, wherever you look you will find someone smiling to you or greeting you or asking you if you need anything, the whole atmosphere make you feel comfortable and at ease. I have to say.....This was our 2nd time in 2 years buying a car from Lafontain. We have the most friendliest & professional salesmen that I have EVER worked with. The car we wanted got sold the day we went in to look at cars (6/7/11) so after we handed him all the paper work.....we still had to go get our check stubs so he told us to come back today (6/8/11) & he would c what he could do. Before we left we asked him to c if he could get us in a 06 or 07 Corolla & when we got there.....He had an 09 with 36000 miles on it & worked a pretty good deal to boot....Even gave us the car fax with no problem. The service department was very nice & even scheduled our first oil change on the house when we reach the 3000 mile make. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership & salesman. So if your in the market for a EXCELLENT & VERY DEPENDABLE car.....then go see BILL ORR...Tell him Antoine & Virita sent you & he will hook you up...LOL. More
I went to lafontaine in search of a new vehicle,and i was suprised at the level of quality service.They went beyond and above what i could have ever imagined to make me comfortable.I had a bad expierience wi suprised at the level of quality service.They went beyond and above what i could have ever imagined to make me comfortable.I had a bad expierience with another dealership prior to going to lafontaine,and after leaving that dealership lafontaine was just what the doctor ordered,as i write this revue,im sitting here laughing thinking about that other dealerships commercial i just saw on tv,they claim they will bend over to treat you right,thats bull.Im glad i heard lafontaines commercial after i left the other dealership they lived up to what they promised and more.The one word that comes to mind when i think of lafontaine is accomidating,lol i hope i spelled that word right,if i didnt sorry.Thanks so much awring and the lafontaine family More
The service was perfect, i went there to look at a Used car but end up buying a brand new one with all the options that were offered to me. My sales person was very friendly and she knew exactly what she car but end up buying a brand new one with all the options that were offered to me. She presented me all my options and took the time to go through all the detais making sure i made the right choice and was satisfied about it. We have been loking for a good used car for months, with no luck. Our requirements for a combination of value for the money and anticpated reliability were thoroughly considered by Bill and the 01 Honda Acc no luck.
