Keep shopping around for other dealerships I bought a car from Lafontaine (Kia), about a month ago. The sales experience was okay, nothing beyond fair. My sales person was Mike Kraus. I ended up going to Lafontaine, because Kia of Canton didn’t work out for me. The sales person there, didn’t have everything together for me, when I came to purchase the vehicle. So, I took my business elsewhere (and went to Lafontaine). I wanted a duplicate key, so the sales manager told me to come back next week, and they will have it for me. When I came back, I had to wait about a week for them to make the duplicate key, and once it was made I had to wait an hour for it to be programmed to my car. No one told me, that it would take that long. I was just left a voicemail message, stating that my key is ready for me to come pick up. That whole experience wasn‘t good, so when I went to tell my sales person about it. He didn’t seem to care, and basically brushed it off, like it was no big deal. I asked him if I could get a free oil change, in exchange for the issues I had today. His response was, the oil change is only $9.95. So, after that I stop dealing with him, regarding issues I had with the service or my vehicle. I contacted the General manager, and he didn’t seem to care either, he was very condescending. In fact, I told him that he was being condescending, but that didn’t seem to change his attitude. Fast forward a bit to November 22nd, and I notice as I was getting the ice off of my car, that my right hand side front bumper was loosen. So, I called to speak with the sales manager Tom Fraser, but he wasn’t there, so I gave my contact information for the receptionist to give him. He never returned my car, so I drove in today, and took it to service, and had them take a look at it. I was advised by one of the service advisor, that I would need to get the entire bumper repaired. I asked him if he could get Tom to come and take a look at it, and see what he could do. I told him that I didn’t do this, this had to have been sold to me this way. He stated that it wasn’t and that they wouldn’t repair the damages for free. He told me to contact Bob Raidl, the collision estimator. So, I called, and left him a message to contact me. Needless to say. I’m not happy with what I was told, regarding them not repairing the damages for free. So, I called and spoke with the owner Mike Lafontaine, and he was just as awful as the others, that I dealt with. He said, that someone must have hit my car in a parking lot, that is the only way that could have happen. At this point, I am beyond pissed. They just won’t admit, that they sold me a damaged vehicle. He told me to contact Tom next week, and coordinate something with Bob, regarding repairs. He also stated that the whole bumper wouldn’t need to be repaired, just a chip repair of some sort. I stated earlier, the guy from service told me that the whole bumper needed to be repaired. (So, who’s really lying). My advise would be to look for a more honest, dealership. I know that is difficult, considering that used car sales men lie for a living. But, there are other dealerships, that are worth looking at to purchase a vehicle. I would only advise my worst enemy to buy a vehicle from Lafontaine. Keep looking people. Someone else would love to get your business, and treat you fairly. More
Very rude employee I called Kia beforehand and talked about my finances and the guy said not to worry they work with everyone and figure out a plan. So I go to the Kia one first and I sit with guy, his name was Chad. After he goes back and forth he tells me that he can't get me a car because the income is too low and all that crap. Anyway, so I say thank you and I leave. I went to the Hyundai one, across the street, and looked at the cars. The employee there welcomed me and was very nice. He sat down with me and said "We're gonna get you a car." So I'm thanking him and this Chad guy actually followed me there, and he just came in and very rudely asked me "What are you doing here?" Like are you serious??? It was uncomfortable and he said that as if i cheated him or something. He told me they were the same company blah blah and if he cant do it then the Hyundai guy cant either. That bothered me so much, but thankfully the Hyundai guy so polite and apologized about it. More

We started with her income, which wasn't much and we knew it was a long shot. The sales people were great but once we got sent to the finance manager it was a nightmare. He came out and quickly shut us down without offering any solutions. Then we went back with my income which is substantially larger than hers. Again the sales person was great, but once we got sent to the finance manager he was yet again quick to dismiss us. He shot down my income saying that because my mom is secondary on my bank account that he would have to slice my income in half (which I later found out isn't true). He also shot down my child support income (which is court ordered and paid every week) saying that it wouldn't be helpful. He then said I didn't qualify again without suggesting any other options. I suggested adding my partner's income and he reluctantly said that he would try it. He then made it very obvious that he didn't want us to stay and wait and that he would give me a call the next day by noon. We waited... no call. He never even ran my credit for financing. I know this because I am a user of a credit report agency and any time my credit is ran I get an email stating such. During this whole process he was also discussing our finances with other people in his office as well as yelling out questions about our finances to us in the hallway. He was the worst person that I have ever had to deal with at a dealership. I've never had such a horrible experience. I honestly think that he wouldn't give us the time of day because we are a gay couple. I have never been made to feel that way before him. More
