I was visiting Ann Arbor about 150 miles away from home and saw the La Fontaine ad and took my Caravan there to be serviced. I was extremely happy with Mark Meyer, the service performed by La Fontaine, and the price. Now, for the last 7 years, I always call Mark to make an appointment and have my vehicle serviced. I am extremely satisfied with Mark's personalized service, and the quality & price of La Fontaine. WHY ELSE WOULD I DRIVE 150 MILES TO GET MY VEHICLE SERVICED??? More

Extremely poor customer service and inaccurate information I was contacted by whom I believe was one of the sales managers "Rachael Peters" at one of the Lafontaine locations. I had been searching dealership I was contacted by whom I believe was one of the sales managers "Rachael Peters" at one of the Lafontaine locations. I had been searching dealerships to purchase another Chrysler300 and had a less than pleasant experience at the Fenton Lafontaine due to their deceitful information about a vehicle in their inventory. Mileage stated 60,000 miles when in fact it had 68,000. When I received a call from Rachael Peters she suggested that the Saline location was in fact a Chrysler dealership and insisted that they have a much more knowledgeable staff there with access to a greater selection of Chrysler 3oo's. I gave her very specific features that I wanted in my car. She assured me that they could find the right vehicle. She asked me to be at that location to meet with Scott Bowman at 6:45 pm, going as far as to give me a "reservation" : **'Your booking is confirmed. Please print/retain this page for your records. Reservation code | TFD08142"** I explained that the location was an hour plus drive from my home and that I wanted to be sure I wasn't wasting my time with such a drive. When I arrived and explained what I came for, I was informed that my appt. now was with a salesman named Rich Earl. As I sat down with him it was quite apparent no one had shared any info with him. He had no list of inventory at all and tried to interest me in one of two vehicles that were on the lot. One which was out of my price range and the other, an older model and specifically a color that I said I didn't like during my conversation with Rachael. Bottom line, I drove 2 plus hours there and back for nothing all because some sales person felt it necessary to lure me in with selfish intentions. I felt like nothing more than a pawn in their "sales" quota. I went as far as to call Mike Lafontaine Jr. himself the following day. He still has not returned my call. Terrible customer service Lafontaine, shame on you !!!! I have since relayed my experience to my friends and co-workers. They will certainly beware of this type of poor service and have vowed to stick with our local dealerships for their future purchases. I suspect this is how "salesmen" get their shady reputations!
