Great experience great job - one manufacturer issue Service was great. Price for the oil change was great. The only issue was that I had a $1.50 marker bulb that was out and needed to be replaced. Service was great. Price for the oil change was great. The only issue was that I had a $1.50 marker bulb that was out and needed to be replaced. The labor for the bulb would have been $80. This is ridiculous that the engineers would design a vehicle that requires over an hour of labor to change a bulb. I had the same problem with my Equinox and replacing the headlamps. I'm tired of it and I'm done with GM vehicles. In fact I just bought my first new Ford. Maybe GM could start a new repair program for low tech repairs like light bulbs. Hire high school kids or old people at $10/hour. Then you'd charge $30 an hour and I might be willing to have you do the work. I'm not paying someone $80/hr ($160,000 a year) to replace a freaking light bulb. More
The Best Customer Service! I had to make an emergency trip to Northern MI and two days prior to leaving a serious problem with my vehicle developed, that would have prevented me I had to make an emergency trip to Northern MI and two days prior to leaving a serious problem with my vehicle developed, that would have prevented me from making the trip. Normal policy is to set up a service appointment to get the car repaired on a specific day and time. The next time slot that was available for me was two days after I was supposed to leave. After explaining my predicament to Victoria Barnewold in service she told me to bring the vehicle in and that she would do her best to work with her co-workers to fit it in at least for diagnosis. When the problem was located I was advised and told that it could be repaired the following day when the parts arrived. The next day as promised I was called and told the vehicle was repaired and ready to be picked up. Victoria then sent a shuttle to my residence to take me to get my car. The driver also was most courteous, friendly, and professional. What could have turned into a very bad week for me ended up as a wonderful experience. I can't thank the employees enough for the courtesy and satisfaction that I received, especially from Victoria Barnewold, and this was my 2nd very good experience with her and the dealership. I have no complaints whatsoever with the Lafontaine Dealership and it's employees. It's so refreshing to be able to walk into a dealership without fear of confrontation and dis-satisfaction from arrogant, rude employees. Thank you so much for such a good experience! More

Very accomodating I have had a continuous problem with the suspenion service light appearing on my brand new 2015 Escalade and the transmission not feeling right. It has been to the service department 4 - 5 times now trying to figure out what the problem is. I just recently got it back and I have not driven it yet to know if there is still a problem. Every one has been most accomodating to my schedule to make things happen as best they can to pick up my vehicle, bring me a loaner and try to figure out the problem. Of course this can be disrupting to my busy schedule as I would prefer to have a brand new vehicle without problems but, Tony Grimaldi has made sure that I have been taken care of as well as everyone else has. More

New lease- GMC Steve Hartwig answered all of my questions and was very professional and friendly. Every step went very smooth - no hassles. Great car in a Fantasy World of Promises and Deception Purchased Used SRX - no spare because "run flat tires" - salesman. My 1 st SRX. Suspension problems - I had to spend 4 hours at dealership until the Purchased Used SRX - no spare because "run flat tires" - salesman. My 1 st SRX. Suspension problems - I had to spend 4 hours at dealership until they finally test drove car and agreed that there was problem- fixed problem. Radio sounded poorly, made appointment along with oil change (under warranty) LaFontaine changed oil but was unable to assign technician to "LOOK" at radio issue. Job re-location out of state racked up miles now out of warranty - LaFontaine will not honor original appointment under bumper to bumper warranty due to their lack of scheduling. Had an accident (deer) commuted 400 miles each way to dealership expecting Quality Body Work and Paint at LaFontaine BODY SHOP. Wife picked up car in January got it home and got it clean only to notice that the body panels are not fitting correctly and that the paint is splotchy (Looks like I used a spray can) Finally able to return to BODY SHOP (next week) 7 months later (AUGUST) and can only EXPECT) SOME RANDOM EXCUSE from their cadillac sales pitch and EDSEL SERVICE. If by chance some one at LaFontaine should read this please call me at 313-600-0606 to resolve the issues. As for the experience "Nothing like spending a lot of money and getting "KISSED" in the process. At this time, unless resolve is achieved, I would NOT RECOMMEND any aspect of this dealership from "sales to service" to anyone who works for a living.
