Price looked fair until they added in all the extra fees! Mandatory warranty fee that was way out of line. My husband was a dealer and walked out! We drove over an hour each way to find this out. My daughter purchased her first vehicle on her own a 2021 Ford Explorer(11-1-21). This was the owners daughter vehicle which was supposed to be a demo car. She drives an hour and a half to this dealership to Ford Explorer(11-1-21). This was the owners daughter vehicle which was supposed to be a demo car. She drives an hour and a half to this dealership to look at this vehicle. You would've thought they knew she was coming so they would have it ready but no. They get there and the inside has a huge white mark on ceiling, dirty on the inside. No one bothered to clean it. Alex the sales guy the only one that seemed to care told her he would get it cleaned up. So then she is shuffled into the finance guys office, Mike Bickell. My daughter said I need to send copies of everything before I sign to my mom. He told her know it is all good he will do it. Well that is because he was over there telling her that she needed all these extra things. They tacked on a couple thousand in extra charges. Such as key replacement($529.00), gap insurance($950.00), perma plate($899.00), and theft/kahu ($599.00) for a total of $2,977.00 in unnecessary fees. She thinks Mike Bickell is going to send me everything like he said cause she was being intimidated by him. The contract also had a lower mileage listed than what was actully on the car. Then she goes to leave and has to put gas in it and half way on her way back home the oil light comes on. So they never did an oil change couldn't even fill up the vehicle with gas since before sending her off. She shows me the vehicle. No owners manual inside the car. So I call the next day to tell them all of this. They try to tell me they can't remove the extras. So I call corporate ford at 800-392-3673 and let them know how shady this dealership truly is. Ford corporate opens a report, I open a report with the FTC. I find out the corporate office for LaBelle Ford is owned by Plattner Automotive Group. I contact Janice Bondeson who is very sweet probably best person they have there. I explain everything to her and tell her if they don't fix the probably I would be going to the news station next. Well they end up calling me and removing all the charges but the stipulation is my daughter has to drive back over to LaBelle. So I make sure I can be with her this time. We both leave work early to make the drive. The general manager, Jason Katz states he has the contract ready to go for her to sign and he will fill her tank and get her oil changed. Well because we showed up later in the night the shop was closed for the night. So I explain to him my issues. I tell him she has an oil change schedule by our home with a Ford dealership he said no problem I'll reimburse her. So we send him in the mail the receipts(oil change $57.83) thinking he would do the right thing. A couple weeks goes by and nothing. So we send it to him in a email. He responds with "got it". So I am thinking he is going to send her a check. Now it's has been 7 weeks and nothing. So we email Plattner Automotive Group and the general manager together about it with his response. It has been over a week and nothing. Now two months later nobody is saying a word in response and nothing has come in the mail. So I am letting you know DON'T BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. What they are doing is unethical. They are taking advantage of people. They own a few dealerships in Florida under different names. Just google Plattner Automotive Group and I would recommend stay far away from them. Hope my review helps warn others. This dealership needs to be investigated. If they have wronged you please call corporate Ford open a complaint, contact the FTC, contact Florida attorney General, news stations don't stop until they are stopped. More
Don’t buy from here. They will rip you off. They won’t even honor a contract price of MSRP on an ordered product. They Jack the price up $20k just so they can line their pockets. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!!Labelle Ford DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Labelle Ford misrepresents low prices online and then tacks on fees and upgrades not listed online. For example, th DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Labelle Ford misrepresents low prices online and then tacks on fees and upgrades not listed online. For example, they listed a 2020 Ford Escape with less than 1000 miles online for $25,584. They advertised an additional savings of $750 for trade assist and $750 additional savings for finance assist. So with both online they advertised $24,084. The car looked nice and when it was time to talk numbers they could not get anywhere near the loan percentage that my bank was offering. So the plan is to gauge you there. I was willing to lose that $750 additional savings. I also had no trade in so would lose that $750 as well. So the price should be $25,584 correct? Nope. They tacked on $1699 in dealer fees as well as a mandatory $3984 protection plan. I told them that the $1699 dealer fee was fine after all you expect them to make some money but I was not going to pay for a protection plan for special paint that they supposedly applied. After all the vehicle has less than 1000 miles so why would you do anything to the paint? They were not willing to waive this protection plan fee so in essence the car would cost over $33,000 after tax. Basically they tried to scan me for $1699 in dealer fees and $3984 for a protection plan that I didn't want. Looking to scam a total of $5,983. This wasn't my first car buying experience so I can definitely spot a scam. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Read the Google reviews. All the 5 starts are obviously friends and family so read the real recent ones. All negative. Total Scam! More
