Was sold a vehicle they said was good. Cost me 12,000.00 dollars to make the vehicle actually ok. Sold us a warranty that doesn’t cover anything. Warranty company won’t even call back. I bought a 2008 Mini Cooper S from Rick on 3/28/21, with 76K miles on it for $6500. I was told there was no negotiating on the price of car, because of the $$ they'd put into it - including a "new" transmission. Rick told me point blank, that if he was buying the car for his own daughter - he wouldn't spend the extra $$ on the extended warranty. Now shame on me for not having an inspection pre-purchase - but not 48 hours post-purchase, the engine light came on. I reached out to Sean (the GM) and Rick to let them know about my disappointment. And they responded right away. However, when I presented them with the invoice from the repair shop that I actually trust - crickets. I have now had to spend an extra $750 to get the transmission they put in (from a junkyard) to work with the car. Additionally, the sway bar was found completely disconnected on one side, and lose - without a bolt to hold it in place - on the other. When I'd first had the inspection begun - and told Sean about the sway bar - he offered to have his shop fix it. He said "It looks like the sway bars may have been missed during re-installation, Id be happy to have those taken care of if you want to schedule an appointment with my shop." - really? You want me to drive a car an hour away, over Highway 18 to have it fixed by your shop who "missed it" in the first place? I offered to split the invoice I paid out of pocket - saying I'd cover the cost of the inspection, but that I would think it only ethical of them to cover the $480 to repair and fix what they should have fixed - or told me was wrong prior to me buying the car. No response. Zero. These guys are NOT TO BE TRUSTED. Period. Let the buyer beware... More
