This place is a total scam! !! Stay away! My recent experience at LA City Cars was a nightmare of deceitful tactics and hidden fees. Upon arrival, I was told by the manager, !! Stay away! Upon arrival, I was told by the manager, Joseph "JJ" Jabbour, that the car I came for was sold right before I got there, even after calling to confirm multiple times beforehand. They then tried to put me in a more expensive car - a classic bait-and-switch tactic. The replacement vehicle was covered with dents and the interior stained - all undisclosed accident damage and cosmetic flaws not shown online. They employed high-pressure sales tactics the entire time I was there, trying to pressure me into buying impulsively by claiming someone at the other location was interested in buying the same car, but that they would let me purchase it if I was willing to buy it then and there. After going back and forth for a while we finally agreed on a $25k sales price plus taxes and fees. When they brough out the invoice for me to sign, they hadn't disclosed that their "fees" were roughly $5,000 for "optional" extras like Lojack and CilaJet, claiming they couldn't be removed. They shared that they significantly decrease the cost of their used Teslas to qualify for the federal tax rebate, and then make up the difference by charging exorbitant fees on other items, a borderline illegal and downright shady practice. My entire Saturday was wasted at LA City Cars and left me feeling utterly taken advantage of. LA City Cars clearly prioritizes profit over integrity, and I have a strong suspicion that all of their positive reviews are paid. I urge caution to anyone considering LA City Cars to avoid them at all costs. More

Let me start by saying I have never dealt with such dishonest, misleading, and scummy people in my entire life. They literally prey on anyone unfortunate enough to walk through their doors. I found a Tesla Model Y for sale on CarGuru for $25,400. Then, when I clicked on the link, it transferred me to LA Cars' website, where it was listed for $32,000. The discrepancy was so large I figured I should call the dealership directly to see what the actual price was. When I called the dealership, I talked to Hershal, who informed me they use an "AI algorithm to set prices" and sometimes the price does not update immediately, but they would honor the price on CarGuru if I came into the store. I told Hershal I live in Idaho and did not want to bother flying all the way to California if they would not honor the price, to which he reassured me they would honor that price and, in fact, make the price lower to $24,999 so the vehicle would qualify for the federal EV tax credit. I was really happy to hear that, so I literally drove straight to the airport and got on the first flight I could. Once I arrived at the car dealership, it took a solid 20 minutes before someone even made an effort to acknowledge my existence, then another 20 minutes before someone helped me. I explained to them I had talked to someone on the phone earlier, and they had told me they would sell me the car for under 25 thousand. The guy helping me did not believe me at first, so he had to look up their recorded phone calls, and finally, he agreed they would honor the price. So he wanted to start the financing process right away and began asking me for credit information, to which I replied I was not interested in any of that until I knew I could get the car for what was promised. He again assured me not to worry about it; I would get the price I was promised. So I reluctantly let them run a credit check on me so I could go and finally test drive the car (I was almost 2 hours in at this point). After test driving the vehicle, I told him I liked it and would buy it if it was the price promised. He again reassured me it would be. Fast forward another half-hour, he comes to me with a paper saying the total price of the car would be...get this $38,000 dollars! Lol you cannot make this stuff up. He then tries telling me the price is so high because Idaho has higher sales taxes than California (lie). There was a special GPS tracker "LoJack" they personally installed on the car (lie). They personally installed a protective coating (lie) and so many other things the car "needed" and could not be taken off. Needless to say, I told him I was not interested, and the car was not for me. So instead of letting me leave and move on with my life, he tells me he will talk to his manager and see what they can do. So another 15 minutes pass, and I get the pleasure to talk to Mike, the general sales manager, who tells me they are not going to honor the price. He tells me not to look at the price but to look at the monthly payment (how scummy is that?). He then comes up with some xx lie about how when I called this morning, Hershal did not even work for them; he works for one of their dealerships in Philadelphia or Miami (and at this point, I'm thinking to myself, isn't your dealership named LA City Cars? Like, you literally cannot come up with a better lie than you have a dealership named LA City Cars in Philadelphia??). He then proceeds to tell me the best they can do is $33,000, and that is giving me a "phenomenal deal," to which I tell him I can buy a brand new one for $39,000, and he says yeah...but you are going to have to wait 2 years to get it (lie; I could have it in 3 weeks)...and at this point, I'm thinking, does this guy just not have any idea what the xxxx he is talking about, or is he just that dishonest of a person? Who knows? I'm not the one to judge that, but I can tell you if you go in and try to purchase a car from LA City Cars, you will be mislead and lied to. More
