I needed a second truck key, which I bought online, and needed to have it programmed. When I took it to an independent car repairman, he told me I needed a a RAM code, which I had to get from the Kunes dea needed to have it programmed. When I took it to an independent car repairman, he told me I needed a a RAM code, which I had to get from the Kunes dealership. The repairman told me Kunes had provided key codes in the past. So, I went to the Kunes service department, and requested the code. The service technician tried to sell me a new key, which I didn’t need since I had already bought a key. Then, he told me the only way I could get a key programmed was to have them do it; they would not provide the code. I returned to my independent repairman and he told me Kunes had lied to me. He suggested I take it to a local locksmith, which I did. The locksmith told me Kunes had lied to me. The locksmith programmed the key. Just recently having bought the truck, I was considering which RAM dealership to start taking the truck to for regular service; I decided at that point it wouldn’t be Kunes. I won’t do business with a dealership that lied to me. More
