If your car has a blatant issue, like losing engine power when hot, but it's not throwing them a code, they will leave it in the lot & not call you because they can't figure it out. This was after they haphazardly & erroneously diagnosed it as a brake booster problem & charged me over $500. Meanwhile, it was as simple as a catalytic converter...I spoke to an alternative mechanic who properly diagnosed this over the phone & one person who wasn't even a mechanic by just telling him. How sad is that? The amount of research that I had to do on behalf of Ford because they couldn't figure out the problem after having the car four different times, is unacceptable. More

Be sure to have any used vehicle you buy from here thoroughly checked out. Bought a “well maintained” Ford Explorer here. My advice… have it checked by someone else and take it for a longer test drive than the short one you go on for the test drive. Had it checked out once it was towed home. $1,700 in needed repairs plus a tow bill. Leaking antifreeze and both rear bearings shot. I mentioned the noise on the test drive and it was dismissed as possibly newer tires. I am purchasing 3 new vehicles next year and I can tell you I certainly won’t be buying them here. Buyer beware. In their defense, the sales associate was very friendly and knowledgeable during the purchase process. He did apologize when I emailed him to tell him my son and I were stranded on 75 waiting on a two truck, but crickets after that. More

Krause was difficult to get on the phone one day and blowing me up the next, pushy, changed their attitude completely once I told them I was pre-approved at a better rate than they were offering me, etc. When it came down to finlizing everything, I was on the fence about buying gap insurance and while asking questions, they said okay let us check -- then sold the vehicle to someone else. Honestly it worked out so much better for me -- I bought an identical vehicle (plus two extra options) for 2.5k less at a different Ford dealership. The second dealership was so much nicer and easier to work with, just all around better. I will always advise against working with Krause to people I know and strangers alike. You should pass on Krause and give your money to a different dealership. More

I brought my car in for the Works. Part of this service is they check the battery. Later, after I got home my car wouldn’t start. I determined that the battery was bad. I only hope they did the other work contained in the Works. More
