Have two Mustangs that I take to Cowles regularly for service (neither of which were originally purchased at Cowles). Matt and Josie are a pleasure to deal with. They always accommodate me with early mor service (neither of which were originally purchased at Cowles). Matt and Josie are a pleasure to deal with. They always accommodate me with early morning appointments and they get the job done quickly while I wait. Cowles is also one of the few dealers that understands and can and will work with aftermarket add-ons (i.e., superchargers, suspension mods, exhaust mods, engine bolt-ons, etc.). No lectures on voiding your warranty, which is nice. I have dealt with many different dealers in the Northern VA area over the years and I've had my fair share of bad experiences. Cowles, at least in my opinion, is on the good side. More
I just had the worst buying experience ever at Cowles Parkway Ford. I spent almost 6 hours at the dealership even with an Internet price. This was mainly due to the salesman spending more time with his “walk-in” and treating me as an unimportant buyer. He left me sitting and wondering around the parking lot waiting. I had a specific appointment time, arrived on time, knew what vehicle make/model/trim I wanted, and had a certified bank check for financing. Yes I had an Internet price for a specific vehicle make/model/trim but Cowles didn’t have that one. Additionally the car that I wanted on their lot no-one could find the keys – another 30mins lost. My trade-in was undervalued as well – keep in mind folks per FORD managers at COWLES your DVD player and navigation system are not part of your trade in value EVEN IF they are FORD factory installed– so we had to go back and forth on that endlessly. AFTER I signed all my paperwork on an agreed price, title transfer, trade-in, and taxes and began my vehicle prep they told me the salesman made a mistake. The mistake was that the Internet price they provide does not include the freight charges and I supposedly agreed to pay this earlier in the negotiations. I don’t care what charges you put on the vehicle, it’s not the price I agreed to pay. Further, I signed an agreement on the price and they refused to honor it. The manager was insistent that he would have never agreed to that price and that I had to come up with another $825. We went back and forth on this as they were obviously scrambling to make a quick dollar late at night. (It was now after 10Pm) The manager informed me that he is “very good at reading people” and that I knew about the $825 charges and did not say anything to them. WHAT? I honestly thought he was joking at first. He then pulled me aside without the salesman present and asked me “man to man, you knew about this mistake didn’t you”? It was like I was on trial. He then told me “we do not need your business” because I refused to pay for their supposed mistake. Bottom line….the price we had negotiated and signed was invalid because of their mistake and it was basically my problem. Needless to say I didn’t buy the vehicle due to their deceptive business practices. I have lost all respect for FORD and will NEVER purchase or do business at Cowles. More
Sales experience was easy going. Didn't push any extra products on me during sale. I opted for Ford warranty and then decided days later to cancel. Two things to note in general: Take a longer test drive than 20 minutes; Shop around for Ford extended warranty (google is your friend).. Final note: New vehicle prep was a 4 out of 5. Could have done some better cleaning/prep or at least offered to have me bring it back in a week to get a full on new vehicle prep. Price was fair, hard to beat in the area without traveling 75+ miles. More
Terrible customer relations exhibited by the Service Manager. Extremely unfriendly and rude. Exhibits a "take it or leave it" attitude and displays little if any managerial skills let alone personal rel Manager. Extremely unfriendly and rude. Does not return phone calls and is disrespectful in his conversation with customers. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for your service. More
I just bought the fully loaded Platinum F150 from the showroom floor and my experience at Cowles Ford was a great one. I was referred to Mr. Scicli by another satisfied buyer. He really listened to what I wanted in regards to my vehicle choice and my want/need to stay at the same price range that I was comfortable with. He took his time to answer all of my questions and not once did I feel like I was pushed to make a decision. I also worked with one of the finance guys (I am sorry I do not remember his name) regarding getting a loan and he was also very patient with me and worked very hard to get my payments down to what I was comfortable with. When I am ready for another vehicle I will definitly make sure I go to Louis Scicli because he is very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. More
The truth is that he made the entire experience very comfortable. He never pressured me to purchase a vehicle however he provided me with the right tools/knowledge to make a decision. I have dealt with this dealership for over 12 years, starting off because of their service department (Matt is in charge). Since then, I have purchased 7 vehicles from them, two in the past week alone. Our sales rep (Araz) and the sales manager (Arthur) went out of their way to get the EXACT vehicle my wife wanted. OUTSTANDING, and my wife drives a hard bargain and is a very discerning consumer. Financing was a breeze, Nicolle actually made it enjoyable to pend money. We cannot say enough good things about this dealership! More
