I visited this dealer to look at Mustangs..wasn't sure if I ready to buy, but I wanted to check them out.. Initially, everything started out friendly and light but went downhill quickly...1.the car I came to see was sold, even though I had been contacted by someone later in the afternoon and explained to them that I was coming from Southern MD 2.I was given a very low figure for my trade-in (to be expected, so that we could negotiate) but when the sales guy tried to explain why the figure was so low, he accidentally showed me his inventory list with the prices, my same truck was being sold on their lot for 2x what they were willing to offer me..when I pointed this out, he became defensive and rude 3.i was kept waiting and waiting..i explained that I was only looking and could come back...i was assured that it would "worth my while" to stay because he was going to make me a great deal ( I guess they thought I was born yesterday)..when I said I didn't like their offer and would try another dealer..the Mgr(?) Allan came out to "talk" to me..instead he berated me, waved a paper in my face and asked me very rudely "what didn't i understand?" all the while cutting me off and not allowing me to ask questions, I asked why he was being so aggressive to me and to this i meet with an icy stare...all this took place in the showroom in front of employees and other customers...this was one of the rudest, most embarrassing experiences I have ever had...I am not sure of it was because I came in educated about my trade-in, my tattoos, or the fact that I am a woman...I have read other reviews about this dealer and they are mixed...I guess it depends on the day or person you happen to get...I will not be back, not will I advise anyone else to patronize this dealer...after I got up and walked out, I wasn't called back, which says to me that they know the way they treated me was wrong...I will try following up as much as I can to find out why I was treated this way...I plan to contact Ford as well. Bought a new Ford Fusion Hybrid on 6/2/13. Nate Yohannes was our new car salesman. These new cars are about technology and you need the help of the dealer to understand the vehicle. Nate was very helpful an was our new car salesman. These new cars are about technology and you need the help of the dealer to understand the vehicle. Nate was very helpful and articulate when going through the cars features and how to use them. He synced both mine and my wife’s phones. Nate would have had us in the car all day going over the vehicle but my wife and i were getting hungry and wanted to go eat. Nate has been at the dealership for 3+ years and some of the other salesman has been there 10+ years. This dealership does not appear to churn and burn their employees which showed in their customer service. Nicolle Flaten was the finance manager. She has been with the company for 15 years. She was very well versed in the dealerships history. They do not try to sell you the BS insurance products. She got me a better rate than what I was getting on my own. In short. Nate is a qualified salesman with knowledge of the products and is a straight shooter on price. I would recommend that you work with Nate if you are looking for a new Ford at this dealership. I observe workplace cultures as part of my job and I never had a good perception of car dealerships because they seem to churn and burn people. Cowles Ford seems to be different. Long term employees who are knowledgeable about the company’s history are a positive sign for an operating culture of an organization. I would recommend Cowles as a dealership. I bought stock in Ford after the 2012 DC auto show because of the Ford products. I decided to wait for the 2013 hybrid after seeing it at the 2012 auto show. While shopping the Fusion through local Ford dealerships I was thinking about selling my stock since the front end of the business, the dealerships, was so bad. I was amazed at how little the local dealers knew about the Hybrid Fusion and they reinforced my negative perception of car dealers when it came to negotiations. This was not the case with Nate and Cowles Ford. More

These people are dishonest. This was the worst car deal from beginning to end. Sales, customer relations, finance and management at this dealer should be banned from selling Ford products. Wandered around dealership, couldn't find a sales person to help me. Prices seemed extremely high, but I don't know if that was to allow more room for negotiations. to help me. Prices seemed extremely high, but I don't know if that was to allow more room for negotiations. More
Was given a written quote online. You can't do anything else after getting the quote until you make an appointment to see the car. I decided to buy it, and then they jacked up the price by a little over $3 else after getting the quote until you make an appointment to see the car. I decided to buy it, and then they jacked up the price by a little over $3,000.....and I'm not talking about the fees like taxes, tags, dealer prep. Go someplace else. More
I shopped around at Koons, Tysons and Ted Britt Ford where I had less than impressive experiences. I was hesitant to go to Woodbridge since I live in the Vienna area and it was a great deal further. A where I had less than impressive experiences. I was hesitant to go to Woodbridge since I live in the Vienna area and it was a great deal further. After talking with Mike Michaud on our initial visit I was extremely comfortable and hoped that he could find the vehicle I was looking for at an affordable price. I can say that he did both. I purchased a new vehicle and could not be happier with my experience at this dealership. Mike was the perfect sales person and did his best to understand my specific vehicle needs and then did everything in his power to acquire the perfect vehicle for me. Josh (manager) was also very accomodating to our needs and we left with a wonderful vehicle and a great price. I have previously purchased at Jerry's Ford, Ted Britt and Tysons Ford and this experience at Cowles has been the best by far. I would definitely return to this dealership and to Mike Michaud for my Ford vehicles in the future. More
I will never buy a vehicle from this poorly ran company. I was interested in buying a particular used vehicle that was listed for sale online. There were no pictures available so I called to inquire about I was interested in buying a particular used vehicle that was listed for sale online. There were no pictures available so I called to inquire about it. I was told that the vehicle was just traded in and that it needed to go through their inspection process and get checked out. Why it was offered for sale before inspection should have been clue number one, as to how bad this company is ran. I waited a week for the vehicle to supposedly get checked out and serviced. I finally got the call that it was ready for me to come look at it. So I make the 3hr trip out to view the car. When I get there I meet the salesman and he proceeds to run around for about 5 to 10mins. Come to find out that even though they knew I was 3hrs away, and making a trip to specifically look at this particular vehicle they had not "serviced" it yet. The vehicle was dirty inside and out. The oil looked as though it was 1000 miles over due for a change, but I was willing to over look some of these issues still thinking this company would treat me well. I was unable to even take this car out for a test drive since it didn't get checked out, once again I was willing to overlook this issue as well thinking this was a reputable company. I wanted to trade my existing vehicle in toward the purchase of the new (used) car. My current vehicle is well maintained with no mechanical issues or major defects. They had the gall to offer me almost 2000 dollars less than KBB has valued my car. I am realist I know that their is going to be a difference between KBB and dealer price however you would think that for the hassle they put me through they would be willing to go a little extra. Nope not only did they not want to offer the correct price for my trade they were not willing to change or alter the price of there supposed new trade in. Apparently they believe that I should have the words xxxx ME tattooed on my forehead as they did not offer any incentive for any hassle or trouble caused. Now because I spent 3hours traveling there 4hours waiting in their office, then 3hours back home I have nothing to show for it except having to spend $80 on 2 tanks of gas and huge headache and scathing hatred. My only advice is to run as far away from them as humanly possible. More
