SALE PRICE is $44,686 I asked for an out the door price and they are charging freight TWICE for vehicles sold on their lot. That is a dishonest practice as the vehicle sticker price already includes the freight charges to the dealership. Check any window sticker and you'll see a destination freight charge. Here is the out the door breakdown as given to me in an email. "The "Out the Door" number is broken out for you below. Cowles Ford solidified the reason I do not have my cars serv I did not have a positive experience at this dealer’s service center. I do not like to use dealerships for car repairs, but because this involved a wa I did not have a positive experience at this dealer’s service center. I do not like to use dealerships for car repairs, but because this involved a warranty I was forced to. I took my car to have a repair that was to be covered under warranty. I made my appointment in person with “James”, he was coordinating his lunch order with another employee and apologized and went on to say he gets very “hangry”. James then took my information, I explained this was a warranty repair, he took the phone number the warranty company provided as well as what needed repaired, I went on to tell him my mechanic had told me the calipers needed replaced and I realized this was covered under warranty so I figured I would get use out of the warranty and the warranty company instructed I bring it to the dealer to have them replaced. James set the appointment for Friday morning, this was Wednesday. He told me I could drop my car off the night before and drop the key in the box, he even gave me envelopes to take with me. End of appointment scheduling no mention of anything about cost or even about coverage. I drop my car off Thursday night. Friday morning, I get a call from James saying my car had been looked at and there was no issue found with the calipers and they were not going to be replaced and I must pay 126.00 for a diagnosis fee. Now mind you I was never told I would be charged 126.00 diagnosis fee, so I was not happy about this at all. I was at work when I received the call and therefore was not able to discuss further at that moment. So, I called back shortly after and got a voicemail, so I left a voicemail, I then get a call from a Richard Link who basically says the same thing James says. I contacted my mechanic and he provided me with what his diagnosis of my car was (which he diagnosed without charging me anything), I provided this to Richard Link, made no difference they were not willing to do anything. Friday evening I arrive to pick up my car and decided I would discuss the 126.00 charge at that time. I begin to explain the entire ordeal to the person checking me out and it is obvious by his condescending tone he was not going to see my perspective. He is shuffling through my documents saying I signed agreeing to the 126.00, only to find I signed nothing, then “James” chimes in and says, “I spoke to you earlier and told you about the 126.00 diagnosis fee” I tell him” I was never told this upon making my appointment” He goes on to say, “Yes I did, I even told you to contact the warranty company and ask if they cover diagnosis fees”, (now if this were the case I certainly would have contacted them to find out) and then the guy checking me out says “We are trained to tell this to everyone”. I guess in James’s moment of being “hangry” he forgot to mention the diagnosis fee. He then goes on to insinuate I was offered a brake deal since I needed new rotors & Pads which could have reduced the diagnosis fee, I told him I was not offered anything. He tries to act like he is doing me a favor and offers some bogus deal, which was more than my mechanic charges, and seriously like I would do business with them. I had to pay the 126.00 to get my car. But I will tell you that 126.00 they took from me will cost them a lot more because I will tell everyone I know not to do business with them in any form or fashion. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. A decent company would have realized they were wrong for not telling me upfront and made it right by no charging me, or at least reducing the charge. There is even a check box on their night drop envelope that indicates you do not want any work done that incurs cost without notifying you first, I checked that box. The kicker, the Sunday following this I drove the car and it’s making a horrible squeaking noise, so I reach out to Richard Link via email and explain my car is making a terrible squeaky noise, he responds “is it the front or the back”, I responded it was from the back, the same location they supposedly checked the calipers out. Crickets after that, no response to this day nothing. I got my car fixed elsewhere and they had a xxxx of a time getting the caliper off because of the way Cowles Ford had put it back. Cowles Ford solidified the reason I do not have my cars serviced at dealers. More

Went to another ford dealership later and found out my wannty was valid at the time i brought my car to Cowles but now has expired. My mistake was trusting this dealerships. Car ended up needing a waterpump 2013 ford Taurus costing estimated $2000. Cowles refused to take full responsibility for this costly mistake discounting my cost to $1500 which is more than the other dealership and should have been covered under my wannty. I was told we are not in the business of fixing cars for free. My advice please call your wannty company if in doubt colwes ford parkway are not to be trusted and not about customer satifaction putting this single dad in a terrible fanicial position. I requested to leave a message for the owner Steve Cowles im sure he doesn't knows how his business is being operated. Take your business elsewhere . More
