Terrible in terms of being non-responsive, poor follow up, poor quality. Make you feel they are doing you a favor to fix a service bulletin. Every repair has needed to be redone. Ordered parts and didn't up, poor quality. Make you feel they are doing you a favor to fix a service bulletin. Every repair has needed to be redone. Ordered parts and didn't follow up for months to indicate they had arrived. And this is a new 2007 Camry Hybrid with every option. More
I went to Koons Tysons Toyota to buy out my lease. What a mistake! I was told i would be charged $500 for a "cost of doing business" fee. I was also told that if i did my buyout at ANY OTHER toyota dealershi mistake! I was told i would be charged $500 for a "cost of doing business" fee. I was also told that if i did my buyout at ANY OTHER toyota dealership other than Koons, i would be charged sales tax. though another dealership was willing to charge me less for this mystery fee, i opted to go with Koons Tysons b/c i would not be charged sales tax. I was charged sales tax...and i was told that it would be refunded to me. Despite my arguements i was told this is how things are supposed to work. One month and another set of temp tags later, i inquired about my tax refund and after numerous calls, i was told that i shouldnt have been charged tax and that my loan paperwork needed to be redone. After about 5 more trips to this dealership and hours of time lost at work dealing with this, my new paperwork was processed. i then started receiving calls from collection departments saying my first loan was in default. i've been trying to get this fixed for 2 weeks with this dealership and everytime im told someone will call me they wont. i leave message after message and always seem to find that the person was on vacation. this dealership clearly doesnt seem to have any regard for their customer and their time. if they had done this paperwork right to begin with, i AND the dealership wouldnt be wasting so much time now. this situation has NOT been cleared up as of today. i have already filed complaints with BBB and the management of this dealership. PROCEED WITH CAUTION regarding any sales at Koons Tysons Toyota. I will, however, say that the service department has always been fantastic. at least one part of this company is doing something right! More
I had my own financing arranged, I made this clear from the start and had no desire to finance through them. The salesperson seemed alright with that but then later handed me a "Homeland Security Form" to the start and had no desire to finance through them. The salesperson seemed alright with that but then later handed me a "Homeland Security Form" to make sure I wasn't on a list of some sort. Well this form was mislabeled and said "Toyota Credit Application" at the top. I don't appreciate that kind of tactic and in the DC area, they should know better than to try to pull a stunt like that...everybody is a fed here! The finance manager was strictly business and barely greeted me. Had I not been in a pinch for a car, I would have gone anywhere else to buy my car. More
I took my Prius in for the 30,000 mile service, and it went ok, but a week later I realized that my front tire was low on air. At first, I thought, oh no biggie, that tire has a very slow leak after bein went ok, but a week later I realized that my front tire was low on air. At first, I thought, oh no biggie, that tire has a very slow leak after being repaired for a nail hole, so I often do this. Then I thought, wait, I just had this 30,000 mile service done last week. It should NOT be that low so quick. Surely, checking air pressure is one of the things they do, no? Yes, as a matter of fact it is on their list .... right along with tire balance and rotation. So, obviously, they did now of these as the tire was not only very low ... but in the same place (driver, front) where it was when I got the flat last year. Koons Tyson's Toyota sucks, don't go. More
After agreeing to a price and signing when I went to pick up hte car, Walsh raised the price and then said he did not want to sell a car to me. There is something very wrong with this dealership and I recom up hte car, Walsh raised the price and then said he did not want to sell a car to me. Bad customer service, bad technical knowledge about the cars they're supposed to sell, outrageous offer for my my trade-in car (almost 3 times lower than the lowest estimate provided by Kelley Blue Book !) cars they're supposed to sell, outrageous offer for my my trade-in car (almost 3 times lower than the lowest estimate provided by Kelley Blue Book !), waiting 1 1/2 hours to find out they don't even have a brochure or a pricing list for the car I wanted to buy, huge list of fees added to the cost of the car and they weren't able to explain most of them and finally, they didn't have the specific car I asked in inventory ( initially, they said differently), etc, etc. Simply avoid them ! I had a premium maintenance plan which supposedly covered "everything". Well I went there for my 15000 mile service, and after the work was done, the guy shows me a big bill of $250, saying that I owe that m "everything". Well I went there for my 15000 mile service, and after the work was done, the guy shows me a big bill of $250, saying that I owe that much money. I was like, I have the maintenance plan. He said, well you should've told us earlier (translation: we're too busy/ignorant to read the screen that pops up in front of our face everytime you make a reservation which shows that you have a maintenance plan). Anyway, after about 20 minutes of arguing (I made sure other customers heard/saw exactly what was going on), the guy finally let up. A few days later I noticed that my car was wobbling, steering wheel was shaking too much. So, even after all the attitude, they still couldn't do the job properly. Anyway, I'll take the car in one more time to get them to fix the problem (which they created), and if they make a fuss then that's the end of my relationship with them. I'd rather drive to the Leesburg dealership than Tysons. More
We walked in- I am on crutches- and were greeted by a nice woman, only to be left standing at the door for 5 minutes and then passed off to an unknowledgeable "salesperson" whose shirt- not a uniform- wa nice woman, only to be left standing at the door for 5 minutes and then passed off to an unknowledgeable "salesperson" whose shirt- not a uniform- was half tucked in. He didn't even hold the door for me or wait for me to trek across the lot- in 95 degree weather. We were walked through the lot only to find that he had no keys to any RAVs we wanted to see, knew nothing about the RAV options or features, and spoke ina low mumble mouthed tone when he DID speak. He peeked thru windows to point out knobs and dials- WOW. He then took us inside to see another salesperson when we aked about options and packages, this gentleman didn't introduce himself, didn't pay attention to our request for a red REV, didn't seem interested in ALL in customer service or giving us what we wanted. We had to ask for a brochure, and were left sitting while he talked on the phone. He told "salesperson #1" to go get a car for us to test drive, and then he left. 5 minutes later, neither of them showed up again, so we took the brochure and left. No one at that dealership even knew we left! Lousiest service I had ever experienced- there is NO WAY I would consider this dealership for anything. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear- there are TOO many other choices to waste time at this poorly managed awful place. More
This is the worst dealership ever and the salesperson is not reliable at all. I was in the market for a new hybrid and unfortunately ended up in Koons Tyson. The salesperson ( Tom) claimed that he is the mo not reliable at all. I was in the market for a new hybrid and unfortunately ended up in Koons Tyson. The salesperson ( Tom) claimed that he is the most knowledgable guy in Hybrid and is the number 1 sales person for Prius in USA. We put down 500$ for reservation of a Camry Hybrid fully loaded and he told us that it will be ready between 30 to 40 days and he even would pick me up from airport. After 40 days waiting and frequent calls and many lies I finally tlked to the manager to find out that I have to wait additional 4 to 6 MONTHS. Unreliable and not trustworthy. More
I went into this dealership about a month ago looking for a used CPO or new Toyota Camry. After wandering around the used car lot for about half an hour looking at their line of Camrys (the salemen saw me i a used CPO or new Toyota Camry. After wandering around the used car lot for about half an hour looking at their line of Camrys (the salemen saw me in the lot but never came out of their nearby air-conditioned office), a salesman wandered out. He was friendly, and I told him what my plans were. He showed me a number of CPO cars, one of which I was very interested in. However, it had a large scratch (which had been very poorly painted over) and a problem with the driver's seat, which he was unable to figure out (I later learned this was just the automatic lumbar adjustment, which he had no clue about!!). The car was priced only $1000 less than a new one and he offered no resolution to the gouge on the car, so I asked him about looking at a new one. He then disappeared!? As I wandered into the main showroom (not really a showroom - there are no cars in it), I was descended upon by other salesman. I explained my situation and started looking at new Camrys with one of them. Then, my original salesman reappears (must have been coffee break time!) and gets into an argument with the guy helping me. I finally tell both of them what I really want--either a really nice CPO car or a good deal on a new one. They promised to get back to me. Never heard another word from them even though I told them I was definitely going to buy a car in the next few weeks. Bottomline - if you want to put up with a lot of xx and hassles, you may get a good price on a car from Koon's. It depends on how much negotiating you want to do. If you want a longstanding relationship with a dealer with a strong customer service ethic who will treat you decently, go elsewhere. I've bought and had serviced two cars from Koon's dealerships, and they all treat cusotmers the same way--the sales and service departments are abysmal. If you are looking for good Toyota dealers, go to Bill Page in Falls Church or Alexandria Toyota. I ended up buying my Camry from Alexandria. More
