The most excruciating experience of my life till date. Employees are extremely rude and patronizing. They are also very prone to telling untruths. Do have your car checked by a third party BEFORE paying. ASK! ASK! And ASK! Till you get an answer. They are very good at sidestepping the important issues. They offered warranties and I asked “what does it not cover?” I never got an answer till I was in the financial department. (The only cordial person by the way). I was yelled at, talked down to and called several names (indirectly) such as “simple-minded”, “racist”. Negotiating was no small feat. I felt I had been through the gates of xxxx and back. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. There were 2 of us, and we both felt the same way. I am still amazed at their attitude and decorum towards their clients. I observed how they interacted with other clients as well. They are demeaning, discourteous, uncouth. Their primary goal is selling a wrecked vehicle to who they feel is an ignorant and therefore dim-witted client. And this is how you will be treated. TAKE HEED. More
Those swindlers tried to sell me a car that they couldn't produce. They made a false promise that they could get me a Toyota Corolla fully loaded. I would've left where another dealership that had it, but they convinced me that they could create one. They had one with everything except a 6-CD in dash but promised it would be installed. After the deal, they ignored their promise although they admitted that they had made the promise (in writing). They sloppily installed a cheap disc changer that they claimed was worth $700 although online it was $120. It didn't connect to the current stereo, it had a controller that popped out of a hole drilled in the dash, and it connected via FM modulation (poor quality). In short, it was the cheap way out, all on a brand-new car. I would've settled for them taking it out and giving me $500 of the supposed $700 disc changed, which the customer relations manager(forgot her name) agreed. But the sales manager, Tony, mocked me for expectations of a brand new Corolla, implying it was a cheap car. This after he tried to lie to me that there was a problem with the trunk design that didn't allow for the in-dash head unit(????). Complete liars. I refused to pick up the car. The next day, when I asked to cancel the deal, their true colors came out when they thought I accepted the car, and basically told me to screw myself. Since I hadn't picked it up, I told them to keep it and give me my money back. With their foot in their mouths, they agreed but said it would require two weeks to issue a check. If it weren't for my bank rushing the stop payment, I would've had to wait for my $19K for who knows how long until they wanted to issue a check. So taking the advice of their sales manager, I realized it was "just a Corolla" and got a Civic which handles and drives better, not to mention has every option (nav, premium sound, etc). I didn't get that great of a deal on it because of the demand due to the model redesign, but I'm a lot happier giving my money to someone who appreciates it. Try Brown's Honda. They were straight-forward. My salesperson, Ash, didn't lie or exaggerate a single bit. He said I could probably work pretty hard and find a better deal, but the money I'd save, I would earn dealing with weasels and feel terrible for giving them my money. With the Koon's experience, he was definitely correct. More
Customer Service was great, Mike (I would give customer service a five if all I had to deal with was him) was quick to attend to whatever problem I had. Although the Used Car Manager, didn't give me KBB for my trade, (when I had even put it in Fair condition) they gave me more than 1000 less than what I originally wanted. I told the salesman that I wanted to take out the head unit ($400) and asked if they could get the speakers (upwards of $400) The used car manager was furious when I took my CD player (and I never did get my speakers...)and told me that if I didn't return either the factory head unit or the one I took out of the car than he was gonna pull the deal and I could return the car. The manager was very unfriendly, and did little to make me feel more comfortable with the deal. Fianace just continued to make me unhappy saying I could not get the interest rate I wanted and I am paying more than $50 more a month than I told the salesman I was able to. By the end of my visit, I just wanted to hurry up and go home, and not deal with some of these people anymore. And for those of you who read this and care, the person who posted below me "Aperdikis" is the General Manager to Koons Tysons Toyota. Is it fair to accept a biased opinion from a man who married into the Koons family and runs one of their dealerships? More

I already knew what kind of car I wanted when I entered the dealership, so I didn't need a salesperson per se. None-the-less, I was completely ignored until I said that I wanted to buy a car, at which poi the dealership, so I didn't need a salesperson per se. None-the-less, I was completely ignored until I said that I wanted to buy a car, at which point I was approached by a little man who stood behind the manager waiting hungrily for a sale while never saying a word to me. They made me give them $500 with the promise that my car was on it's way and would be here in 7-10 days. 10 days later, no car. I called, and they could not find the salesperson, Jose. They said "Oh, 7-10 days from when it's shipped, and it's still in New York." After this clearly upset me, they made up a ridiculous story about the website not being updated from last time I came in because of Labor Day, which had been a long time ago. I called and visited the dealership several times after that, and Jose (the weasely little man so anxious for a sale) never spoke to me once. So, 10 days after my 2nd promise of "7-10 days, I called and asked about the status of my car, as which which point an extremely rude sales manager told me he would call back, and never did. When I called back, he was so extremely rude that it left me fuming. Oh, and 30 days later, still no car and they have not given back the $500 that they claimed was just to reserve my car. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! These people are greast little thieves who are delighted to take your money and then leave you with nothing. Next time I'm buying my car from the black market in Southeast D.C.; they would be much more honest, I'm sure. More
This dealer flat out doesn't adhere to their own mantra of "We're not satisfied until you are." I was told that I would have to replace the battery before any real diagnostics could be done, but that all indications were that a battery replacement would solve the problems. Having heard many 'solutions' from the other dealers that were incorrect, I asked for them to put a battery in the vehicle and demonstrate to me that the problems were resolved, as they said they would be, before I paid them for a new battery. Oh no, that couldn't be done. I would have to purchase the battery first. Because of the history with other dealers and their failed attempts to fix the problems, I was looking for this dealer to go the extra mile and demonstrate to me that the battery would fix the problem...for them to put the customer first and try hard to make me walk out of there feeling good about them and their service, which may have in turn caused me to recommend them to others. But, no, they refused to grant this simple request. In addition, I was met with arrogance and comments that were downright unprofessional during the several phone calls with them. I hoped to have an advocate in the onsite Toyota Corp. representative there, who was contacted by Toyota Corporate in California, but that proved to be an even greater waste of time. I never received a call from that person, even several days after Corporate made contact. Then, when I did make contact, there was no advocacy at all...rather they simply sided with the dealership's position. The service department actually told me with all certainty I didn't buy the vehicle from them and that I didn't have an extended warranty. Very interesting, since I did buy it from them and I do have the extended warranty, which, of course, apparently isn't worth the paper it's printed on because nothing seems to ever be covered. My vehicle was kept for 2 full days, but they wouldn't offer me a loaner car to assist with the inconvenience of being without the vehicle for that long. I took the vehicle to the place where I bought it hoping for decent customer care (like when you buy the vehicle and the finance guy takes your check and says the relationship doesn't end here, but continues for the life of your ownership of the vehicle) and just a simple "we'll do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable", but they wouldn't do that...and they didn't know I bought the vehicle there...and they couldn't locate my warranty information...and the Toyota rep was no help at all, and the list goes on. The bottom line is this: if you want good customer service with people that will do whatever it takes to make you satisfied and make you walk out with a positive feeling because they clearly go the distance for you and know who you are and the details of your vehicle and give you absolutely no reason to call the corporate 800 number to complain...go somewhere else. This is not the dealer for you. In fact, buy something other than Toyota. You won’t get any real assistance from their corporate office when you do need help. More

They did it to me, they’ve done it to others and they’ve even admitted to it in Court Depositions. In my case I was sold a car whose true condition was not only misrepresented to me, but I believe was also intentionally concealed from me. Information that I asked for and should have been given was withheld from me. And these lies and following cover-up forced me to endure repeated problems with my car, problems that should have been taken care of by the dealership prior to them making this car available to the public.<br>Because K.T.T. sold me a previously wrecked car, I tried to sue them for violations of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, violations of the Virginia Consumer Protection Act, Breach of Contract and Fraud.<br><br>But the lawsuit has exposed an even bigger problem with this dealership. If you purchase a vehicle at K.T.T., you’ll have to sign a Buyer’s Order/Contract to purchase the vehicle. But, when you sign these papers, you’ll be stripped of ALL your rights to sue this dealership.<br>How?<br>Koons Tysons Toyota has a clause buried in the fine print of the Buyer’s Order/Contract. This clause forces you into Mandatory Binding Arbitration and will strip you of part of your rights as promised in the Seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution and Section 11. of the CONSTITUTION OF VIRGINIA.<br><br>Federal and State laws guarantee your right to court access. Koons Tysons Toyota takes away that right with this binding arbitration requirement.<br>This means that if you have ANY kind of problem or dispute with K.T.T., you CANNOT sue the dealership. Any and all disputes will only be resolved by binding arbitration and the consumer loses all rights to file a claim in court.<br><br>And to make matters even worse, K.T.T. has already selected the arbitration company to hear and rule on any cases brought by any consumer that has been defrauded by K.T.T. And this isn’t even the worse part, what makes this situation even worse is the fact that K.T.T. has found many ways to manipulate the system in their favor. I went to this dealership a few times when looking to buy a sienna and hoping I would get a different experience on each subsequent visit. Unfortunately it seems that most of the comments here are in line with my experiences. Most of the time the salespeople didn't seem interested in talking with us, they virtually walked away when we started talking about siennas. There was one low end model on the lot that was crawling with prospective buyers with one salesman there trying to explain the different features like cup holders and colors. The Siennas have complicated option packages that this person didn't know anything about. Good luck with your experience, hope you get better. Try one of the no haggle places - thats where we ended up buying. More
This dealership obviously has nothing but contempt for any type of informed buyer. This was after they lied five mins before over the phone about yet another vehicle being avialiable they swore was in stock. Instead of a yes or no answer on the offer I got the waffle between the manager and me. The waits are totally unnecessary ( a tactic to up the time and stakes for the buyer) and the dealer 'financing' sheet is one of the many ways this dealer will use to separate anyone from their money. Do it online or over the phone. Stay out of this dealer’s show room unless you want to loose money and feel like you were taken by crooks.<br><br>I am adding this edit to recommend the over the phone deals with Alexandria Toyota. <br> More
